Cannot send emails with file attachment greather than 40kb

Hello,
we have an issue with our Z10 devices.
Emails are not beeing sent with a file attachment greater than 40kb.
After sending it pops up an red exclamation point.
Z10 Firmware version: 10.1.0.4181
Blackberry Enterprise Service 10
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 with activesync enabled
EMC -> Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies: Sync Settings -> No limitation for e-mail size and maximum attachment size

I have the same environment as you and do not have the issue with my Z10 on OS 10.1.0.2019

I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

When I send an email with an attachment larger than 1 MB in iMail, the email takes forever to be sent.

When I send an email with an attachment larger than 1 MB from iMail, the email gets suck in the sent folder. This happens no matter if I am using wireless or using an ethernet connection.

Many email programs, including Mail, will send data up to a certain size.
The good new - there are some solutions. You can compress the file and make the email much faster to send; you can download a free application like Compress, which also allows you to uncompress. Or, you can send your email via your webmail connection (your ISP, like ATT); if you manage your email through your desktop computer, the email should be sent just fine.
Apple Mail is designed for smaller documents, well under 1mb.

You have mentioned two issues:

then what happens? does it show as an attachment in the top right of email?
Can you see 'Attach' in the toolbar or is the toolbar missing?

Is this because you canot attach the file in the first place?
If you can attach an attachment flle and you select to send, what happens?
do you get an error message? If yes, what does it say word for word.
Is the file too big, what size are you talking about?

First check to make sure you have data turned on and not just Wi-Fi. From reading your question you seem to be saying e mail is working just not attached photos. What size are the photos as some HD photos can't be sent. Your camera may be set at a very high picture size and you can go to settings and lower the size and that may solve your mailing problem.

Thanks. I got the problem fixed. Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor. It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner. Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail. I checked all the specifics between the three units. It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com to TWC.com. Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

I just upgrading to ios 8 (8.0.2) and I am now unable to send email with an attachement (photo) through activesync (zarafa).
It works fine with smtp or through activesync but without attachement.
Is there any solution?

It worked fine with the last version of iOS 7 and still works fine with outlook connected from a PC to the same activesync server.

i have problems sometime i can not send Emails with Attachements.
This Problem is still for everybody on the User the are on the Blackberry Server and the Problem is for Z10 and Q10 also Z30 with the latest Firmware also with the old Firmware

I try sending pictures that were taking with the phone. I tried sending attachment that I have been sent but they won't send

Cannot send email with Mail app-..can't connect to AOL server anymore??

Up until today my MAIL app in my iMac let me use an email address that is from the AOL.com group (netscape.net)…I cannot send emails now because I can't get the computer to connect to the server. My iPad will….but not the desktop. I tried using a different server name; smtp.nestcape.net, which is the one I used in the iPad…but the iMac won't let me change it to that one..so back to the old smtp.aol.com……Still my MAIL app is not recognizing this or letting me connect!?!. I tried creating a new password at the wedpage of that email account.. successfully..but it has made no difference. I am stumped and have wasted half the day trying to deal with this. Anyone else have such an experience? HELP…PLEASE!

Thank you Eric for sending the links. Fortunately after I wrote this post…I don't know what happened but I filled in my mail preference settings for the umteenth time with my new email password and voila! It worked. For some reason however…now when I open the Mail App I do still get a prompt asking me if I want to use this server….and it is, of course, the one and only I have listed.!?!?! The thing that irritates me…is…that I had done NOTHING to cause a problem to begin with. I think my email account at aol (nestcape) may have been hacked and my password stolen or compromised in some way??...and perhaps that caused a glitch in my mail app??? I am no techy, but I should have started out with my intuition and changed the password first before going mental….When something like this happens it makes one feel so vulnerable.…I usually feel well secured with my lone iMac and now my new iPad…ANYWAY…thank tyou for addressing my issue and I have bookmarked those links…for future reference which I hope I never need. Cannot send email with any of my accounts on Mail 5.2

I have a Mac Book Pro
Mac Os X 10.7.4
Mail 5.2
I have many diferent email accounts (gmail, hotmail, prodigy.net.mx, etc)
Some are POP, some are IMAP
I have another computer, an iMac with older system and older Mail app. and used same setup for all accounts
I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails on any of the accounts. I have quadruple checked all settings and all seems to be ok.
All smtp connections appear as not connected, yet different servers, or email suppliers, this makes me suspect something else is wrong.
Any ideas? Help would be appreciated.

Just FYI, I've had the same problem for months now. I have been accessing my hotmail via the web, but decided to try the OS X Mail app. I could get emails into the account with no problem but couldn't send. I read all the blog and support entries and have tried everything they recommended, like changing my computer name to one word, without success. Then last night, it just so happened that my broadband provider had to change out my wireless modem. As soon as he plugged in the new one, some emails that had been in my outbasket for a month went through instantly and all of a sudden my Mail, both incoming and outgoing now work. So I think people need to look at their router settings for the a solution to the problem.
