Cannot send mail from my ipad
I cannot send mails from my ipad, I have checked settings with my mail server and they tell me that everything is OK, they don't know what may be causing the problem, any ideas?

There is no way for anyone to know if your problem is identical to the problem reported by maria_diaz. She didn't mention anything about getting the "relaying" message. I suggest you start a new question that gives a good title to a specific problem. Then in the body of the thread describe the problem in detail, tell us what steps you have tried so far to correct the problem, what happened, and what error messages you received.

Why do I get the message "Cannot send mail, the user name and or password for my email outgoing server is incorrect"? I use the same account, etc. on my iPhone and haven't any trouble sending mail.
If your email requires a password for the SMTP server you can set it up in the settings in the General mail setup. Some i.e Gmail require a password for SMTP.
Otherwise you will probably get better answers in the iPad forum.

I had a power failure 2 days ago, my computer is running again, but now I cannot send email from my iPad using Cox or my gmail account. I am receiving mail in my Cox account but not my gmail account.It was working fine until the power failure. It keeps telling me, the user name or password for Gmail is incorrect. I have not changed anything. I don't know what is wrong. Can anyone help me? Chances are rebooting the router will help. You may also need to talk to cox. They may need to reset something on their end. -
Since I started using my new iPad, I cannot send mail from my iPhone even though I've compared the settings on both and they are exactly the same. I can receive mail.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Cannot send email from my IPad Air
I suddenly cannot send email from my IPad Air. Keep getting message that my email recipient
was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. Don't understand what this means as I have been able to send email before.Paula, in most cases this message appears when you are sending email from a ISP server not in the pop settings and SMTP settings in your email program.
In example if I send out email from my iPad I must be on my own isp's server to send. I have roadrunner but if I send email out using say Verizon's email server I will get a reject notice.
You did not say what email program you are using but if it is hotmail or yahoo or your isp's email in two of these email accounts there are stand alone apps which work much better than the stock email program on the phone.
If you are using road runner or another ISP email you must get the proper Pop3 (incoming) server settings and SMTP (send) settings from your ISP
You can then just go into the Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendar section and click on the email account and change to the proper settings from your ISP.
You could delete as you were told but why bother when only the sending and receiving settings need to be entered.
If the settings are correct, on an iPhone it tests the settings. If correct send an email. If incorrect you will need the proper settings from your ISP.
It is actually very easy to do.

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -

What is your iOS version? Try deleting the account in Mail and setting it up again. Repeat in second device if successful/necessary.

lots of people seem to be havgin a problem sending email from iCloud webmail.
does your email address have uppercase characters in it?
if so, try creating an alias in lowercase (go to preferences in iCloud webmail and select 'accounts') and see if email sends okay from that -

If you are getting the "server rejected ..." message try this.
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails. Even if the information is listed as optional, enter the username and password anyway. -

My email won't send from my iPad. Thank you for your help . The account used to work perfectly until recently, after receiving support from the provider, I deleted the account now I am trying to set the account again.
After putting in the first details (name, email, description) Cannot send mail the password or username for "mail.bigpond.com" is incorrect. I would expect this because the information I put in is not for Bigpond. So I press ok & I change the outgoing server (this is the one that is incorrectly labelled bigpond) to aapt, then I press save.
Then it says "verifying" but comes up with Cannot connect using SSL do you want to try setting up the account without SSL. I press yes.
Then I get the message "the POP server "mail.aapt.net.au" is not responding. Check your network connection & that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server. (I ahve already checked this with aapt & it is correct. -
