Cannot send mail with Outlook 2010

I can't send email with Outlook 2010. I can receive fine. I have a Verizon account, and my settings are those recommended. When I try to send email I eventually get a time out. I have called the Verizon techs any number of times and after working with them fruitlessly I was told to call Microsoft. Microsoft can't find the problem and said that it must be a problem that Verizon refuses to acknowledge.

I'm using MS Outlook 2010 in Win 8, Win 7, and XP.  I''m using the latest settings specified by Verizon.  Everything works perfectly, and has done so since since I made the changes a month or more ago.
Unless you post your specific settings, exactly as they are entered into your Outlook program, there is no way that any of the volunteers here can provide useful suggestions.

  • Cannot send emails with Outlook 2013

Hello, please can anyone help with the following. I can send & receicve emails via my BT Mail account but can only receive them with Outlook 2013. It used to work ok, I've not made any changes to the settings and I like to use it as a matter of convenience. Is it straight forward to put this right or should I remove the Office installation that it is part of and re-install it.Thank you

@ribblelancs. I got it sorted OK in the end m8ty but I do warn you I tried absolutely everything, nothing would work, even doing a back log 4 day restart of windows 8.1 did not help so in the end I had to do a complete fresh install of my Windows 8.1 pro package software and start all over again, installing office etc.., I know it sounds a pain in the ass and it is because I have now got to reinstall most applications again but I can assure you it fixes the issue with outlook 2010 email problems and now all works so that is what you need to do!.
You may have replied to this topic instead of the original.
However, uninstall / reinstall of Outlook 2010 is the one thing I didn't do, but I did disable and re-enable it, along with many other things.....
It did however prompt an upgrade to the full blown office 365, which is some improvement, at least..... But it doesn't dispute the fact that it wouldn't work without the separate usb wi fi adaptor until today.
    It's all a muddle.
Take a look at the microsoft forums and you'll see that there's no real conclusion to a similar problem with Outlook, other than a suggestion to uninstall  / reinstall, from scratch.

  • Cannot send mail with mavericks

Hi I'm using an iMac 2011 27 in. Shawcable is my ISP. I can receive mail. I cannot send mail. I get the error "cannot connect to account myaccount, enter password for user myname" If I go into accounts in mail prefs all smtp accounts show as offline.  I have been over all my settings with shaw they say problem is on my end. They say my computer isn't connecting. Anyone have any ideas?

Without in details on what you have tried, I'll throw out some things:
On the SMTP server settings, use a custom port number instead of using the default ports.
Make sure you don't have any firewall, net-nanny, or other such network blockers running.
In Mail, Open Connection Doctor from the Window menu.
Click Show Detail, then Check Again.
Note any message noted in the stoplight section, and any related to the account in the details.
You may want to sanitize any of the messages from the Details so that it doesn't give away an email account or other identifying info.

  • Cannot send mail with mobile mail software

I have been trying to send mail with my mobile mail software on my AOL account and my mail won't got through,  But when I click on my mobile web and access my AOL email that way it allows me to send mail with no problem. The problem started today, I have an lg env3 and the latest software version of the mobile mail.

From working with other customers, the best thing to do would be to remove the email account entirely from the Mobile Email program and re-add it.  If the issue persists, remove the Mobile Email application altogether and redownload it.  If it still persists even after that and all other data services are working such as the browser, My Verizon, etc. call AOL Mobile Support at 866-265-3019.
I hope this helps you.  Let us know if it did.

  • Cannot send email from Outlook 2010 without disabling iCloud Outlook Add-in

I have seen a few discussions on this but no answers. I have bought a new PC. Installed Outlook 2010 and iCloud latest version 3. All seems to work fine but emails go into the Outbox and dont get any further. If I remove the iCloud Outlook Add-in then I can send my emails but of course now cannot see my contacts nor my calendar! So it's one or the other and I'm currently going backwards and forwards between each. I have uninstalled and gone back to an earlier version 2 of iCloud with no success, same problem. I have uninstalled that and now reinstalled version 3. The problem remains. Can you advise on how to solve this please?

Then it has nothing to do with iCloud, contact Bell and if they can't help, Microsoft

  • Cannot send mail with attachments-plain mail its ok. Any ideas?

Out of the blue I cannot send e-mails with attachments (any kind). Mail without attachments go out without problems.
    Very weird.
I have an iMac, mac mail 5.2. and Lion.
    Please help.
    Thanks

Perhaps the mail server has a size limit that it allows. Might try a free web service and see if that will work for those attachments.

  • Can't send mails with Outlook

I can’t get outlook to send out mails. I seem to receive emails, but none is going out. I get the error message: 0xDE00006.
I use windows 7, outlook 2010 and windows live email.
Anyone there has had the same problem?

    Hello,
Do you have Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector installed?
Please try removing and then re-adding the live account to see the result. You can refer to this:

  • Cannot send mails with second Account

    Hi,
    I have 2 Mail-Accounts.
    Account_A(mobileme) and
    Account_B(exchange)
In the Account settings I have associated both Accounts to use there own SMTP. If I try now to send a mail with Account_B i directly become an error that the mail cannot be send over the server_B. If I hit "check connections" everything wents green, which implicates, that everything should be fine.
Now comes the funny part: In the same error Window there is a message: Send from: Account_A!
Any idea to get this working?
    Info:
Yes. The settings in "Compose message" are right
Yes. Both Accounts are setup correct and work fine with iPhone and iPad
    Thanks, Michael

What error message do you receive when try to send from Account_B?

  • Cannot send mail with .mac

I can receive mail with .mac account, but not send mail. I can send and receive mail using another account. Has something changed with .mac?

This issue is most probably related to your Internet Service Provider.
Several Internet Service Providers are blocking the use of smtp servers (like smtp.mac.com) by their customer for secury purpose allowing only their own smtp server.
First, you should check with your ISP if he his blocking smtp servers. If he do, just use the smtp server of your ISP. That's what I need to do from my home.

  • Cannot sync ipad with Outlook 2010 contacts. help

I called techsupport when I was unable to sync my Outlook 2010 contacts with my Ipad2. The techie told me I could only sync from earlier versions of Outlook (seems kinda dumb).  She said I could sync from my gmail contacts but when I tried this gmail told me "25% of the content in your content will change on your computer". Ideas?

    The iPad manual says :
You can sync contacts with applications such as Mac OS X Address Book, Yahoo! Address Book, and Google Contacts on a Mac, or with Yahoo! Address Book, Google Contacts, Windows Address Book (Microsoft Outlook Express), Windows Vista Contacts, or Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync contacts with multiple applications. On a PC, you can sync contacts with only one application at a time.)
So you should be able to sync contacts from Outlook 2010.  I don't think Outlook 2010 was supported on the original iPad until iOS 4.2+ was installed, but the iOS on the iPad 2 has (I think) always been high enough.
What happens when you try ?

  • Empty email body and cannot send mails with exchange

    Hi,
we moved from SBS 2003 to SBS 2010 and now people wiht iPhones have problems receving mails. The Problem is, that the mail body us empty, though in the preview I can see part of the content (see pictures sorry they are in German)
Contacts, Calender content is synched without a problem.  Sending a mail over exchange is resulting in an error as well.
I already have tried several suggestions from other like power of the phone, deleting the profile. I even restored it to the factory settings in itunes. No luck so far.
There is an error entry in the iPhone Configuration Utility Console
         Jun  5 08:02:12 geraldfs-iPhone MobileMail[91] <Warning>: DA|Yikes: got an unhandled top level error 110
         Jun  5 08:02:12 geraldfs-iPhone MobileMail[91] <Warning>: EAS|ASSendMailTask failed: Error Domain=DAErrorDomain Code=110 "The operation      couldn’t be completed. (DAErrorDomain error 110.)"
which indicates a problm, but I have no idea how to solve it.
I have an guess, that it might be related to the certificate stored on the phone. Since we use dyndns to connect to exchange like (domain.dyndns.org) the domain name stayed the same, but the certificate changed. Since in the beginning I configured the phones manually I assume, that the certificate from the old server is still installed on the phone, and might clash wiht the new saver on the same domain (domain.dyndns.org).
Does anyone has an idea how to tackle this issue?
    thanks
    Gerald

    Problem Solved.
By chance the problem is linked to the problem, that you cannot reply on emails in Exchange OWA. The issue is caused by spaces in a name property in exchange.
    The solution is documented here:

  • Cannot access mail through outlook 2010 on Windows 7, mail tool cant fix it

What's up with this?  I used all the correct settings for incoming/outgoing, ports. encryption, etc.  Outlook test e-mail returns Cant connect to server.  I disabled the local firewall and antivirus is not blocking.
I can access via the web, not what I want.
Has anyone seen this and solved it?
I do not want to install the Verizon tech support tool, way to invasive on my system.

    What error are you getting?
