Cannot Send or receive MMS on new Galaxy S5. APN settings locked.

Within messaging settings, MMSC field is "Not set" and cannot be edited -- it should be http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms.  Does Verizon acknowledge this and is there a fix?

    BG1234567,
We want to be sure your device is set up correctly. The APN settings should not need to be edited. What were you trying to accomplish with changing the settings? Was there something wrong with your messages going in/out?

  • Cannot send or receive MMS messages!!

I cannot send or receive MMS messages on my BT mobile HTC S620.  Also I keep getting the BT Set-up screen yet it won't proceed past the first step of four!  I have re-set this handset back to factory settings and updated the software via computer/download, however, I cannot find a solution to get my MMS messages! Help please?  (By the way wireless, emails and SMS messages work fine.)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sounds like something has gone wrong with regards to the MMS settings and looks like you'll need to re-enter them.
The settings I found for it as follows:
    Access point name: mobile.bt.uk
    Username: user
    Password: btmms
    Authentication: Normal
    Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP address: 212.183.137.012 or 62.239.21.123
    Session mode: Permanent
    URL address: http://mms.bt.com/servlets/mms or http://mmsc.btmms.co.uk:8002
We have also been told that the following settings may work for a corporate BT Mobile: APN: btmobile.bt.com , username:bt , password:bt, port:8799 , IP address:212.183.137.12
    My Motto:
Going to kill my HomeHub 2 very soon.

  • Cannot send or receive mms messages iphone 3gs

I have an iPhone 3GS running iOS 6.1.6 the phone is locked to AT&T. I use a Straight Talk SIM and have, voice, data, and Text but cannot send or receive MMS. I have gone through the APN update for Straight talk and even talked to spoke with a tech support rep. He said that he adjusted the APN settings for my SIM card and still not able to send.

SMS/MMS are carrier features so take it out with them.

  • Nokia E71 Cannot send or receive MMS

    Help.
I cannot send or receive MMS on my Nokia E71.

You have to contact your mobile operator since they have the configuration data (which is operator specific).
Maybe if you let us know what your operator is (with the country) somebody might be able to help you.
By clicking the "Kudos!" or the "Solution?" button on the right you can say "Thank You" and you´ll show the author and others that the post is useful.
The day we stop improving is the day we stop being good.

  • Since moving my iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0.4 to straight talk I cannot send or receive mms messages. How can I fix that?

Help me please... Since moving my iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0.4 to straight talk I cannot send or receive mms messages. How can I fix that?

Since Straight Talk, using a GSM iPhone is not "officially" supported, you're gonna have to configure the APN settings manually. Go here:
    http://www.unlockit.co.nz/unlockit/
This site is a collection of APN setting for unsupported GSM carriers. This is a good place to get the correct settings for your phone.

  • Cannot send nor receive email on new iMac; migrated settings from MacBook

I just recently bought a new aluminum iMac. I migrated files & settings, including Mail settings from my MacBook to the iMac. Despite the copied settings, I cannot send nor receive messages on the new iMac. I have always been able to send & receive e-mail on my MacBook, so I would think the same settings should work on the iMac.
I have tried Connection Doctor, and I am getting successful connections on both the POP Account and SMTP server.
I have compared settings between the MacBook & iMac, and they are the same. My MacBook uses Tiger and doesn't have the option of default & custom ports. It is set to port 25. I have tried custom ports of 25 & 587 on the new iMac as well as the default port option. None of those seem to work.
Is there something else that could be wrong or anything else I can try? Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.

  • HT1349 I cannot send and receive mms

I cant send and receive mms

As long as Cellular data is enabled, MMS is a carrier issue.
    Contact the carrier.

  • I cannot send or receive mms

mms is turned on and I still cant receive or send pics

You should contact your carrier to be sure you messaging plan is correctly provisioned to include MMS.

  • If you cannot send and receive MMS messages and had an original iphone...

    Call At&t to resolve it.
There is a known problem where At&ts system is still showing the iPhone as the original 2g which is not allowed to send MMS.
In my case customer service showed it as the 3g but tech support showed it as just iPhone (should be iPhone 3g). Tech support said it was a small group of customers that were effected.
Bottom line: If restore and reset and any other thing you've tried doesn't work, take 15 min and call At&t.

SMS/MMS are carrier features so take it out with them.

  • Cannot send or receive MMS picture messages or emailed picture messages

I have Sprint as my provider. This has been going on for three weeks now. I called Sprint to find out why this was all of a sudden happening on my phone and my husbands phone since we both have the 8330 Curve. They said it has been an on-going problem with Blackberry having an "outage". I don't know how true this is, but apparently on this site and on Crackberry.com several people with several types of blackberries are having this same issue. Has anyone else heard??
I have tried the battery thing, updating my software, cleaning my cache and cookies... Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions besides throwing this phone out a window??

"Can't send", as in you don't have the function to SEND when you press the Menu key, or what?
If you receive an MMS message, is the picture or media file not attached?
    Details will help.
And no, it is not an "outage" of any sort, believe me if it were and going on for three weeks, you would hear a LOUD hue and cry from across the US. Sprint is just passing the buck, when they need to be looking deeper and/or escalting the issue for proper attention.
You need to call them back and demand assistance.

  • Cannot send or receive texts on 2/3 of the S4s we have.

    Hello,
Me, my mom, and my dad all have Galaxy S4s. Text messaging has been working great for me, but today my dad came to me and told me his text messages kept failing when he tried to send them.
I tried sending him texts from my phone and found that they wouldn't go through. My mother's phone is the same way: Cannot send or receive.
I've tried going to: Settings/Applications Manager/All/Messaging/Clear Data/Phone Restart. This also brought no results. At this point I have no idea how to get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are no issues with making and receiving calls at this time. We changed our phone plan with the purchase of the S4s. They both kept their old numbers and did not have texting until switching plans.
And about the test message, no I've tried. It always just says, "Failed." With the error code: SMS Org.D.

  • I cannot send or receive pictures via iMessage data roaming enable 3G and cellular data all switched on

I Cannot send pictures or receive them via iMessage cella data ,data roaming and 3G all switched on

    Hello there, Blackpool1.
The following Knowledge Base article offers some great, in-depth steps for troubleshooting issues with sending MMS type messages with your iPhone:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2755
Start with these steps and then move down from there if the issue persists:
If you can't send and receive MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    An iPhone 3G or later
    iOS 3.1 or later
A cellular data connection (MMS isn't available if you're using only Wi-Fi)
A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You might need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact (Contact your carrier for more information.)
A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network that is different from your billing cellular provider's network (Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.)
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps
Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you're roaming on a cellular provider network that is different from your billing provider's network.
Make sure that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar of your iPhone.
Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
Make sure that you can send and receive SMS. If you can't send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above. MMS might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    Restart your iPhone.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
Remove your SIM card and insert it again.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

I cannot send or receive group text messages and picture messages / MMS.  The settings on Messages are already set to receive group texts but it does not help. What should I do?

Wow, 1yerdua. That's far too long to be having this messaging trouble. We want to find the resolution fast! If you turn off your Lumia's WiFi (Menu > Settings > WiFi), are you still able to access data-oriented applications like Internet Explorer? Have you been to other areas of the state/country and experienced the same trouble?
