Cannot send syslog to server from a RV082

Good day everyone,
I'm having an issue with the syslog.
My configuration is:
LAN A (RV042)<-> GW to GW tunnel <-> (RV082) LAN B
On LAN A, I got a NAS with a syslog server.
On the RV042, I've set the parameters for the syslog server, and it's working fine.
On the RV082, I've set the same parameters and noting is happening.
As troubleshooting, I've done the following:
-On the RV082, I can ping the NAS without problems.
-On the RV082, I've set my computer IP adress as syslog server IP and with packet analyser, I not seing any UDP packets.
Any Ideas?
Regards.

Mainly, my configuration is simple
at home
I have an RV042, and on the lan side, I have a NAS with SYSLOG server. The RV042 is sending syslog on the nas without problems. (10.10.20.0 /255.255.255.0)
On a Isolated Island, I got an RV082 with differents devices connected on the lan side. (10.10.10.0 /255.255.255.0)
I set an Gateway to Gateway link between the 2 routers and it's working fine.
From my home lan (10.10.20.0) I can get access to the router and the devices on the 'remote' lan without any problems.
But on the 'remote' router RV082 I set to send the syslog to the SYSLOG server, it's not sending anything. But when I ping the NAS (Who's having the SYSLOG server) I got no packet lost.
I've done a soft restart of the router, and also I tried to set as syslog IP on the RV082 my computer IP connected to the same lan as the NAS and monitoring incomiing UDP packets, I saw nothing.
My impression is someting is stuck in the router RV082 that prevent that service working.
The only issue is that router is in an isolated island and no one can come on site in case of an issue (if it"s not restating) exept from helicopter at XXK€ cost because see is frozen... So I have to be very carefull on what I'm doing..
Regards.

    Hi whineyfromleessummit,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're not able to send email from Yahoo or Gmail on your MacBook Pro.
There could be several causes of the behavior. I would start with the troubleshooting steps in the "Mail Connection Doctor shows one or more red dots in the account Status column" section of this article:
OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages
This article contains a variety of steps that can help resolve an issue like the one you're seeing.
    All the best,

I cannot send or receive messages from one specific buddy. When I go to double click on the name on my Buddy List, nothing happens. When she sends me messages I am alerted of the message but cannot see it. In the "Window" tab her name appears as if we are chatting but I cannot view the window.

Sounds like they have not got the ports open to allowing Incoming stuff to their computer.
Any router firewall or basic settings they have may allow the outgoing call but not accept any incoming stuff.

  • Cannot send email ("IMAP" server?)

I got an iPhone 5c last week. Verizon set up my email accounts. I receive everything to my two cox.net mailboxes just fine on my new phone.
Whenever I attempt to send an email I get the following error message:
Cannot Send Mail - the user name or password for SMTP:(my email)@smtp.cox.net is incorrect.
Under "settings", it says the server is  "IMAP." Just IMAP. No option to change or edit servers appears to exist, either.
Now, on my iPad, my incoming mail server is "pop.cox.net" and my outgoing server is smtp.cox.net. No issues there. Always has been - and thought it was on my phone, too.
I have deleted all of my mail accounts several times, and re-added them, only to have this "IMAP" server on my mail accounts, and appears to be what is preventing me from sending mail.

  • Cannot Send in Mail : server does not support authentication

I can receive mail, but cannot send. The error message I'm getting is: The SMTP server "smtp-server.rochester.rr.com" doesn't support authentication." I have Time Warner Road Runner. The settings for the outgoing server are as follows:
    server: smtp-server.rochester.rr.com
    port: 25
    SSL: no
    Authentication : Password
The username and password work fine with Webmail or mail2web
    Please help!

I had a similar message from Road Runner and when I turned authentication off, I got the following message: "This message could not be delivered because your SMTP settings are not set." Suggestions?

  • Cannot send message using server icloud, cannot send message using server icloud

Whenever I try to send a message from my iCloud mail id using Lions mail client I get the following
The server “p08-smtp.mail.me.com” cannot be contacted on the default ports.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
I saw an articale suggesting trying to change the SMTP server to SMTP.MAIL.ME.COM but when I try that I get address rejected
Sending mail through the web interface seems to work OK
    Any ideas?

I did some looking around and think I've got the right answer. if I use networktool to do a lookup of p08-smtp.mail.me.com it returns address not found.
It looks like p01-smtp to p04-smtp are defined but the others aren't.
I created a new smtp server and called it icloud2 and used the address p04-smtp.mail.me.com with the usual settings of USE SSL and AUthentication = Password (and gave it my iCLoud login details).
Associating that SMTP server with my iCloud account in mail.app lets me send perfectly.
I assume this is just apple not having everything not set up and replicated to DNS servers yet so I'm checking to see if p08 exists every couple of days and I'm move my iCLoud account to the normal SMTP server when I start getting nslookup responses.

  • Keep getting 'Cannot send message using server...' message - Why!??

    Hi there,
Every time I launch Mail, the first time I try to send a message I get the same window, warning me that Mail 'Cannot send message using the server...'.
It's annoying, because this is the only server I have, and it does work. I just have to hit the 'Use Selected Server' button, and it works.
But next time I launch Mail, I have to go through the same tired routine.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might do to solve this problem?
    thanks so much,
    Malcolm

    Hi Malcolm.
It isn’t clear whether you’ve always had this problem in Mail, or it started to happen as a result of some changes you made, or what...
Is this outgoing server associated with a mail account provided by your ISP or something else?
Doesn’t the error message give any additional information as to what could be the cause of the problem? What does Window > Connection Doctor say?
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Try also turning OFF all the network port configurations except the one needed to connect to Internet and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
Also, try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible, i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc.
Mail keeps information about outgoing (SMTP) servers in a separate list independently of the mail accounts themselves. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems.
Go to Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there. The Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with.

  • Getting message cannot send mail check server setting

    Anybody???

Do you have any other mail accounts on your iPad? If so you can select another server from the options.
Go to settings again and select Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select your mail account from the window on the right side. Then tap on the email address of the account to open the next window that shows the account information. Then there should be heading titled Outgoing Mail Server. You can tap the arrow to the right of the server name in that field to get to the next window that shows other servers. Try to select one from there and see if that works.
I keep forgetting about this as well. It has provided help to others.

  • Cannot send or forward email from Apple products since last update

Since my last Apple update I am  unable send or forward mail from my ipad or iphone.  Because I can send / forward from my PC and webmail my email provider advises the issue is an Apple problem and that their tech support line has had numerous similar complaints.  I have hunted through settings and on-line with no success to date.  Any suggestions?

suggest you delete the mail account, then re enter it.  But first, masker sure to check google for the current settings for their email set up.  sometimes they change server names or ports.  Existing accounts are not affected - but when you do a system update, the pad tries to initialize the account as new (as far as their servers are concerned) and if you are not using the current server names, it won't work.  (You using yahoo by any chance?)

  • Cannot connect to DI Server from IIS

    Hi,
I have a working installation of IIS and DI server on my laptop (running XP SP1). On my laptop, I can make SOAP calls to the DI Server from .asp pages running on the IIS.
However, I installed the DI server on a Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6 and tried to use the same configurations. Now, I cannot get any connection to the DI Server. The DI Server log only displays information about the start and stop events (on my laptop, each SOAP request is recorded in the log). I examined the IIS log file and this is what I found:
