Cannot Set Up a Yahoo Mail Account

Hello,
I have a user whose BB is set up on the BES server. She also had a Yahoo account set up, but then it stopped working. I then wiped her Blackberry and removed ther BES account from the BES server and re-added it. After wiping the Blackberry I reactivated it to the BES server. I tried setting up the Yahoo account but it did not work. It said "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists contact yahoo.com". I tried using two different Yahoo accounts and it both gave me the same error. I am able to access those Yahoo account via browser and was able to set them up on my iPhone. I also tried it on a Blackberry Curve. Is there something wrong with Yahoo on Blackberry's?

I'm having a similar problem with my Rogers Yahoo account. I can set up emails, but there is no option for contacts. It used to work............it may be since the last OS update?

I cannot log into my yahoo mail account from my iphone4. The password does not have any special characters. On my PC there is no problem.
Also cannot configure Add Yahoo mail. I woould get a message, stating "Verification required. Log into your Yahoo! account at www.yahoo.com". when I attempt this I get "Invalid ID/Password".

Tried eveyrhting and this was the way that fixed it for me --
if you are having an issue adding the yahoo mail account on an iphone/ ipad / ipod.
In the app store download the yahoo mail app for iphone (it works on ipads and ipods as well.. but there's only an iphone version). After downloading it - open and sign in. It's likely it will say that your yahoo account is 'locked' due to suspicious activity - follow the prompts to unlock it.
Now add the yahoo account under the ipad mail settings.
It should work in the regular ipad, iphone, ipod mail application now.

Iphone 5...trouble setting up mutiple Yahoo mail accounts

The Iphone 5 allowed me to set up 1 Yahoo mail account.
When I tried to set up the secound it responds: "Yahoo sever unavailable".
I am able to leave the setup, go to Safari, find Yahoo mail and sign in....so the server is up and running....there is something about the Iphone.
any ideas?

Strange. I am also having problems setting up yahoo mail because I changed my password. Everything was working before I did that. There has been a yahoo problem on my iphone ever since I've had it. The mail app is so darn slow. Yahoo does have an app you can download and then drag it down onto the main dock at the bottom of your screen. That's what I did until someone responds with a possible solution. I also just emailed yahoo to let them know of the problem. Like that matters! LOL! I've emailed them before about this and it takes them weeks to get back to me. So ridiculous!

Somehow, I cannot create a yahoo.ca account in the Mail application on my new iMac. I have asked for help to a friend who is quite proficient with computers, and he was not able to help. He also has an iMac, and he was able to set up his mail account without any problems, but he used a gmail account.
This is the error message I am getting:
Logging in to the yahoo.ca IMAP server “imap.mail.yahoo.com” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages.

Settings > Mail, Comtacts, Calendars.
Select Add Account below Accounts.
Select Yahoo as the account type and follow the prompts.

When trying to open my yahoo mail account, it just freezes on blank page, internet explorer opens it fine, this is the only site that has a prob for me

i can view the login page. I enter my login and pword. Then it just goes to a blank page. The tab at the top of the page and the address bar shows a continuous changing address and nothing happens

This is how I fixed it on my new iPhone 5S. Using the standard yahoo setting on my phone.
You will have to access "managing your app passwords" on your account profile for yahoo. Generate password for your app. For example: "My iPhone 5S'
Go to your Iphone and set up your yahoo mail account on your phone the normal way and you have to use the generated password. instead of the yahoo account password.

The problems I am having are when I use Yahoo! with the iMac mail application. Yahoo works fine on the browser.
The outgoing settings I am using are:
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): yahoo.co.uk (Offline)
Description: yahoo.co.uk
Server name: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Use default ports (25, 465, 587)
Use SSL
Authentication: Password
User Name: ********@yahoo.co.uk
Password: *************
Of note:
I cannot stop it from saying Offline after the outgoing mail server.
I have used the same settings on my ipad and iphone and that works fine.

Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo.

Need Help Setting Up Chattermail with AT&T Yahoo Mail Account

Ok... so I've spent half the day trying every possible permutation of my login, server name etc and I STILL can't get Chattermail to successfully log in.
This is a paid Yahoo mail account. The servers I succesfully use for my older 700w were: incoming: pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com, outgoing: smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com
I'm confused by the set up in chattermail. It doesn't have the servers marked as "outgoing" and "incoming" I've put the incoming server name in the "define" tab and the outgoing in the "smtp" tab.
I've tried both my entire email address and just the part before the "@" as my login. I also have the ssl boxes checked because my system seems to be using those.
I cannot get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas?

When I open my Yahoo mail account, it comes up with lines between every entry. When I try to send a new message, the dialogue box is incomplete. The tool bar above the message box is empty so I cannot change the font or font size, etc.

This problem does not occur when I open my Yahoo mail account in Internet Explorer.
Because of it, I cannot use Firefox to access my Yahoo mail.

I cannot use the chat feature in my Yahoo account using Firefox browser, yet I CAN use this feature when going through Internet Explorer. Why? I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it. On your iPhone, go the settings app. Then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars on the left column. On the right column under Accounts select your Yahoo mail account. A popup with show up and then you have to turn the the Notes switch to the off position.

Cannot send emails on Yahoo mail. It works okay with Safari. I set default to Yahoo but still cannot send

Use MAC. Cannot send emails through Yahoo mail through Firefox but can send through Safari.
Also issue with Facebook. Using Firefox cannot sign out of account. Can sign out when using Safari.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

There is no supported way to do so. Be aware, photos synced to your phone were reduced in resolution for display on your phone. There is no way to recover their full resolution.
You should be backing up your Mac. If you did so, you wouldn't be facing this issue.
