Cannot set up icloud in outlook

I keep getting this error message: Your setup couldnt be started because of an unexpected error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled icloud. I have tried to add my icloud email manually both directly through outlook and then going in through control panel to mail. I have repaired outlook in add and change/remove programs. I have entered various numbers/info when manually adding the me.com address. The address will show up in my outlook pane but then sometimes it just disappears or when I try to sync icloud with outlook it doesnt sync. At one point it did sync email but not calendars. I am running windows 7 and outlook 2007.

UPDATE After hours and hours of troubleshooting I finally spoke with someone at Apple who confirmed what I alraedy suspected - outlook 64 bit is NOT compatible with icloud 2.0. If you are intent on syncing outlook with icloud you must uninstall 2.0 and reinstall 1.6. The problem is finding it online from a trustworth source. I checked cnet and could not find it. I happened to have it saved on my computer which I did not remember until the great guy from Apple reminded to look for it. I would be happy to share I'm just not sure of a site that is trustworthy. If anyone knows of one I would be happy to upload to it.

I am unable to set up icloud on my new PC. I have downloaded icloud onto the computer but it is showing an exclamaion mark on my mail. contacts button so I am unable to share this with my PC. If I try and set up on outlook 13 it keeps showing showing I cant send emails on the test.

Check your spam folder to be sure it isn't there. If not, try going to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and Manage your account. There should be a link there to resend the verification email.

i cannot set up a new icloud account on my iphone 3gs which i have reset & restore so many times. keep getting errors, that the device have reached the maxixum free account/or the device is no longer eilgible for a free icloud account

I would check the spelling on your Mac. If that does not work then try going to the support pages for AppleID and make sure you have the right ID and password combo.

Setting up icloud in outlook for mac 2011

I have tried to set up my iCloud email account in Outlook for Mac 2011. Incoming works fine. Outgoing doesn't. I have trawled over the support pages for the correct outgoing server info but on using the settings I am no further on. I did see a post by someone who had found the same problem and copied the settings that Mail uses which seems to be different for incoming than Apples recommendations. (but thats not a problem for me!) and unfortunately the outgoing in the Mail settings for my iCloud account simply shows "iCloud" so I am none the wiser!
Can anyone help? Incidentally my icloud account for email works fine on my iPhone and iPad.

Please note that Microsofts instructions (in the link you posted) are incorrect, it will never work if you follow those directions.

I am having problems setting up iCloud with Outlook 2007.

I was able to setup the email with Outlook, but every time I try to setup the contacts. I get the following error:
your setup could not be started because of unexpected error
This error does not occur immediately, but occurs after several steps of downloading and uploading.
If I hit the report button, it hangs. So I hit cancel after that in my retries. I am on Windows 2007 (32-bit).

You need to leave more information like what is the ios5 device. I following instructions accidently set up two iclouds and then I couldn't get the contacts in. My mobileme email isn't going to work anymore because I set up an icloud using my store apple ID. Apparently the term apple ID can refer to any apple product ID that you make up not the one you use in the store. So you need to leave more infor on what is your problem to figure out how to help.

Cannot set up iCloud on MacBook Pro to find my iPhone??

I can login to MobileMe but not iCloud. Can't even get to the 'agree to terms' page before a window pops up saying 'iCloud is too busy to let new users log on'.
It also has in red letters unrecognised username and password when both work fine on iTunes etc. Also, I don't have Find my phone on my iPhone which is lost, so can I still locate it?
Any help would be good.
