    Hi there
    We have a issue where a VoIP line is configured on line 1 of a SPA2102 ATA and cannot receive 2 concurrent incoming calls
    Example:
    First incoming call comes on line 1 -> phone rings (no one picks up)
    Second incoming call comes on line 1 (while first call continue ringing) -> caller gets a busy tone (we want both calls to ring at the same time on line 1 not go to a busy tone)
    Does anyone have a resolution to this or is this the limitation of the ATA VoIP hardware?
    We have tested with a SPA2102, SPA800, PAP2T and they all do the same thing.

    In my experience It's no possible because the first call is still in the setup phase. You can get the ring back tone only after a connection and configuring the call waiting service.

    went to the genius bar today because my iphone is apparently dead, and at&t won't touch it in terms of service.
    get there and the guy says i have to make an appointment for tomorrow. and asks me for a number where i can be reached. again explain that the number at which i can be reached "cannot receive or make calls..."
    anyone know how i can get this fixed now? and not have to pay for cell service that i can't even use?

    Apple handles all iPhone repairs or exchanges under warranty. You can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466 to handle everything over the phone, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
    If you can't make a call with your iPhone, it isn't a good idea to call technical support from the iPhone you are having a problem with anyway, and the same with a technical support problem with any cell phone since troubleshooting steps may involve doing something with the device that prevents being able to remain on the phone.
    I don't have a landline at home so when I've needed to call technical support for any cell phone I've used in the past, I make the call from work, or from the landline of a family member, friend, neighbor, or pay phone.
    Are you able to access the internet via the cellular network and receive or send SMS?
    If so, this may be due to a problem with your SIM card. If there is an AT&T corporate store nearby, you can tell the store about the problem and request a new SIM card to see if this resolves it. The AT&T store can activate your iPhone with the new SIM card.

  • Cannot receive calls

    I cannot receive any calls. Everything else is fine. I can call out easily and broadband is okay. When you dial my number you can hear a ringing tone for a second (although nothing sounds out on my phone), then nothing but the engaged tone. i have called 151 and they have done a test on the line and said it was fine. After reading on this forum is it a ring - trip? After following instructions online I have undone the master socket and tested the test socket but it is still the same. There is a loose white wire in there, tried putting it in various holes but still no result. If i need an engineer can this be sorted out without ringing the call centre as I cannot understand what on earth they are saying and their answers are robotic.

    I just ported over from Virgin mobile with an iPhone 4s.  Now i got the 5s from Verizon and i cannot receive texts or calls.  I can send texts and make calls but all calls go straight to a different prerecorded voicemail.  How do i fix this?

    I am glad to see that you made the move over to Team VZW. We definitely want you to have a great start to your tenure with us. Do you know what the recorded message states when someone tries to call you? What kind of signal are you getting? Can you trying sending a text message to yourself and see if you receive it. Keep us updated on this so we can look into options of resolution.

  • Cannot Receive Calls and Text Every Morning! Pls Help!!

    I am new here. I registered cus i am facing irritating problem with the phone. I dunno if anyone else is facing the same problem.
    I cannot receive any calls or sms everyday morning.
    My friends told me that it went directly to the voicemail.
    However everything back to normal when i make a call out from my phone (basically just need to dail out a number, ppl dun even have to pick up the call!), and it will receive the sms that it missed immediately.
    Actually I noticed the fact is that if i dun touch my phone for more than 3 or 4 hours, it went automatically to 'sleep', and it stop receiving calls.....
    So now i have to call my landline every morning to active the phone which is so annoying! And my friends went mad too cus they couldn't find me as i was like disappeared.
    I don't think its the problem with my carrier cus it all went fine until i updated it in Jan. Its now v5.0.0832.
    I have searched other forums and there are some ppl having the similar problem, some said its cus of the "do not disturb" setting, but its no longer exist. So the problem is still unsolved for many others.
    Not sure if os 6 is gonna fix it cus there is one personsaid that he still has the prolem although he updated it to 6.
    Please please please! Can anyone help me??!!  otherwise i may have to get a new phone,  i am a bit regret now,  i should have bought a iphone4 instead of bb!

    I do not undrstand why this is going on. I tried to fix it like in a previous post but nothing is happening. Please help, this is very frustrating!
    When ever it connects in the internet it cannot receive calls. Is this normal? Will it be fixed with a firmware update? Is nokia aware of the problem? Is it in purpose?Does it happening in more phones?

    Not even from Nokia service? I allready sent them an email nothing happens they do not answer.
    At least answer "Yes we are aware of this, we will revert with a firmware update as soon as possible" or something like this!!!

    I cannot receive coming calls. Calls do not go into voice mail and the greeting is not my voice or the default greeting.  This appears to be a common problem, regardless of carrier.  If Apple cared, they would monitor the forums and provide answers when possible.  Several people I know are replacing their iPhones with other devices.  My next phone WILL NOT be an iPhone.  iPhones are not worth the price.

    Go back and read the term of use you signed up for.   There is no Apple here in this user to user forum.
    The ability to make or receive calls fall on the phone carrier not Apple or iphone.
    Suggest you contact your phone carrier to resolve the issue.
    Also stating that your next phone won't be an iphone, doesn't mean anything here, we users don't care what phone you get next.

  • Cannot receive VoIP calls on my 3102

    i got a new 3102 a few days ago. set up went well. i can make voip and pstn call outwards and i can receive pstn calls. i even managed to set up the pstn to voip gateway.
    however i cannot receive calls via VoIP. the receiving phone rings but when i answer it, i get nothing. from the calling side, you don't get the normal "ring ring", just a tone.
    it's behind a netopia ADSL modem that has IP passthrough/DMZ set up on it. the 3102 shows the public IP address assigned by my ISP. so i assume that totally bypasses NAT and i thus don't have to worry about port forwarding etc. I don't have STUN or NAT on.
    i have tried registering with different VoIP providers such as FWD, SipPhone, and VoipTalk and the symptoms are identical for all.
    does anyone have any idea of what's going on here? thanks in advance.

    i don't know but it still looks like a NAt problem to me ( unless of course there's really something wrong with your SPA3102 )... why don't you forward the ports needed on your ADSL modem and enable NAT on the SPA3102? another thing that you can do is to try the SPA in another location that has a regular cable or DSL modem ....

  • Cannot receive Viber calls on my Nokia 920 unless ...

    Hi.  My friends asked me to get viber so they could call me from overseas.  Unless I have the program open, I cannot receive any calls.  I imagine this is an issue with push notifications?  I did not have this problem on the messaging-only version that was first out.  Eventually missed calls pop up (with time stamps in order!), but that makes it super inconvenient to use this app.  Even if I have the app open, it will time out with my screensaver (which I can control), but I cannot just disable the screensaver and even if I did, chances are I'm using the phone and thus not merely leaving viber open hoping for a phone call.  I have ATT.

    Please help me. I just got my iphone 4 last february and it was working just fine. But recently, i am having problems with its phone features such as text messaging and call. Most of he times i have a full network signal yet i cannot receive or make a call, receive or send text messages. I have also observed that everytime i am in a wifi zone where its signal strenght is high, this problem always exists. There seems to be no problem with its other features...please help me anyone.

    Wi-Fi has nothing to do with making/receiving calls, or sending/receiving text messages... those features only work over the cellular network.
    Have you contacted the carrier to rule out network issues or swap out the SIM card to eliminate that as a possibility?
    What about Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
