Cannot setup Rediffmailpro Email on BB 8520

Have purchased BB Curve 8520. Gmail id was configured without any hassles but unable to configure rediffmailpro email id. I have Incoming and outgoing mail server details and ports. But BB setings ask for 4 things.
1. Email id
2. Password
3. Mail Server
4. User name
Points 1,2 4 are ok. Mail server have tried "pop.rediffmailpro.com", "rediffmailpro.com" but setup failed. These were the details given by rediffmailpro.
tried to take help from vodafone and rediffmailpro but unsuccessful.
Pleas help
Regards,
Darshan

  • Cannot setup work email using SSL on non standard port

    All,
I've been trying now for a few hours to setup a corporate email account.  I've tried via the curve and via the bb internet service but in both cases since the service cannot detect the settings since a non standard port is in use I cannot use the the service and am considering returning the device to go with another easier to use device.  I love the hardware design but if I cannot setup my corporate email this is no good to me.  I'd appreciate any tips anyone has.
    Thanks,
      Frustrated.

Your corprorate email account is an exchange server or what?
You are on a personal BIS plan?

  • Cannot setup new Email Account.

Hello all, I am new to this forum, so forgive me if I am in the wrong area and feel free to point me in the right direction.
I tried sending a message to [email protected] but of course - in the bit bucket it goes. Don't know why they post this email address on their site if they have no intention of HELPing...
    So here is the story:
I am a consultant and have a client that has a BB Curve. He has been using a certain provider inet for his email. He has now changed to a different provider (for technical reasons). I have tried to setup his new email account for the new provider – I also use a BB curves and have performed this operation for over 50 of my clients. However in this scenario, the Curve keeps asking for his account id and password. We have tried to enter it and it says that the Username cannot be blank. If we exit and re-enter the setup tool, and then enter the same info again, it says that the username and/or password is incorrect. His credentials have never - ever changed.
We cannot get his password (or acct info) sent to him by BB (RIM), because he no longer has the email address of record. Of course I tried entering a different email address to send it to, but of course it doesn't get to his phone as there is no eamil address setup (except his old one). The provider here in town (TELUS) has been quite useless in helping and have been quite specific that we need to talk to RIM, well of course this seems to be the only avenue available.
Can someone direct us to the appropriate area or resource in order to proceed with setting up his new email account.
Please feel free to reply to me directly at [email protected]
    Thanks everyone.

    You're welcome...

    2) When we do this, we do not get them email account setup screen, instead we get the login to email settings screen,
    3) When we enter this user's email address and password, the device says it is incorrect (or the username field cannot be blank). It depends on the mood of the device as to which message we receive.
The user has a "BIS Account' login username and password. This username is NOT an email address, (but it could be the first part of his email address... it's whatever was created -- does that make sense?). If his email address is [email protected], his username could be anything else, like "RobertSmith50". There's no relation.
Telus is being absurd. They can give the customer his username and reset the password.
Or, they can simply delete the previous BIS account, and add it back to his plan and then he can set it up fresh with the username and password he (or you) will now remember.
Anyway, I'd try one more time with them, and this time, perhaps using the correct terminology might peg their memory. Tell them you want to reset the the BIS data account -- either reset or delete and re-add. ONLY they can do this, RIM can't.
This dude IS Telus' customer, not RIM's. He pays Telus his monthly fees. You really need to ask for a manager or supervisor, and I'm sorry for all the bouncing back and forth... but you just gotta find a sober Telus rep.

  • Cannot setup personal email; missing icons and setup options

OK, I just recieved a used (although wiped) Blackberry Curve 8310. I'm super frustrated with trying to set up my personal email address. I'm college educated and pretty intelligent, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get my Gmail account to run directly from my **bleep** smartphone, without having to resort to Google's Gmail app.
I've tried to follow a lot of the online documentation, the user manual, etc., but the contents of my phone deviate from that of the intructions. For example, Google's instructions for setting up IMAP on your Blackberry instruct you to go into the Blackberry Setup >> Personal Email Setup. Personal Email Setup does not exist on my Blackberry, only the option to set up enterprise email. Fail.
Blackberry's own site instructs the user to either click on the Email Setup icon on the home screen (don't have said icon) or run the setup wizard and select "I want to create or add an email address" (no such option exists in the setup wizard, just an option that reads "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server.") Fail x2.
Further, I've set up my Gmail account through the Blackberry site, but apparently that didn't do much of anything. Fail x3. I've also then sent "service books" to my device in desparation. Fail x4.
I've also gone into Advanced Options >> Host Routing Table >> Register Now, and I've waited over an hour to something... anything good to happen. Again, I've been disappointed. Fail x5.
I'm running the Blackberry OS 4.5. I'd like just like the ability to use native, basic email.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
As per the above, you likely do not have an adequate data plan from your carrier. Contact them to find out about gaining a data plan from them that will enable the Personal Email option on that screen. Or -- if you indeed already are setup by your company for Enterprise email, it may be that they restrict the use of personal email accounts on corporate BBs.
    Good luck!

  • E72 - cannot setup email using WLAN

    Hi,
I cannot setup any email account using a WLAN connection. It keeps directing me to the network connection. Is there a way around this?

I've faced the same problem and it is annoying!
I couldn't set up my emails through my WLAN connection. I have always a WLAN access point(in home and in my campus). I don't need any GPRS(or say 3G) connection but just for that problem i purchased a weekly connection package. I checked the priority settings but I couldnt. Nokia should take an action about this
    My Nokia history:
    3110-3210-3310-3330-5210-6110-6210-6630-5510-1600-6330-E50-E55-2690-E72

  • Cannot setup email

I'm new to using a blackberry, recieved a pre-used Pearl 9105. It seems as though its been "wiped" hence i cannot setup my email on it. I cant find the email setup icon anywhere?
Although when I go tho Settings-Options-Applications-Core there are details of the applications properties? Does this suggest that it was once there?
Please help? How can I restore email on the device?

There should be an icon that says "Setup". In there is the option to set up Email. (I think it's the same on OS 5 and 6...)
Alternatively you can go into your messages->menu->"Options"
    "Email Account Management"
This is assuming that you have a viable data plan to send and receive emails...

  • Cannot setup my email

I cannot set up a particular email which is  a yahoo email. I was successfully able to setup other yahoo emails. I remember that this particular email was linked to a former blackberry which was stolen about 19 months ago. Now I have another blackberry on another network service provider and it keeps saying update failed. I am starting to suspect that perhaps the email is still linked to that blackberry .... please help me with suggestions to sort out this issue. Thanks

  • 8520 cannot setup BIS

my BB8520 were brought from a local vendor, the BB is desinated by Orange, but i'm in China, the keyboard 'q' and 'a', 'w' and 'x' goes reverse with each other, seems it's the France device. what make it worse is that i cannot find BIS in email setup, and when i log on to the 'china mobile' website for BIS, the registration can not be proceeded. the web page reported: imei or pin invalid.
hope friends here can give me an answer about this. thanks in advance.

Correct.. however your error message was not that the PIN was suspended, so maybe that is not your problem.
It could be that the PIN is not available on your Chinese telcom because it is still registered with Orange. Orange may need to release the PIN for your use. Call them.

  • Default email app cannot setup exchange email account, but Touchdown app can

Hello, I have been trying for two days to setup an exchange email account (my work's account) in a Xperia Z3 with no success. It works fine with my iphone and it also works fine in all my colleagues Android phones. In my Xperia I go to add new account --> put my email account and username --> select exchange activesync --> and I put my doman\username, password, server, SSL and also leave the 443 port (though I have tried many aleternatives), but it can never connect.
I was thinking about returning my Xperia as I need my work's email and calendar in my phone, but then I downloaded the Touchdown app whic is an email app for exchange accounts. I used the exact same setup configuration and it worked flawlessly.
The issue is that I still would like to use my default email app for all my email accounts, including exchange. Is anybody having the same issue? Is it a bug in the Xperias Z3 email app? Will it be solved? Now I am using the Touchdown app (it costs 20 $) but in my opinion Sony's email app should solve this issue.
Thanks in advance for your help

I am having the same issue with my Sony Xperia Z3v. This is now the second Sony phone in as many weeks I have tried neither functions properly with exchange email. My corporate email is with rackspace.com and while I can go in and set up the account the phone does NOT recieve emails via push. I only get emails when I manually have the email application refresh. Calendars and tasks also DO NOT sync automatically via push. I really need a fix for this or I'm going to have to send this device back to verizon for a Samsung phone. I like many of the features of the sony device over the samsung but Email is a major problem for me this being a company phone.

  • TS3899 cannot receive or send email from my hotmail account, refuses to verify server. I have changed my password, deleted the account numerous times, any solutions? all on ios 6.

cannot receive or send email from my hotmail account, refuses to verify server. I have changed my password, deleted the account numerous times, any solutions? all on ios 6. it was working up until a few days ago and now refuses to load on both my ipad 2 and iphone 4S
in the process deleted all my contact, very annoying.
    all help is much appreciated.
interesting that my gmail account does work perfectly.

this may or may not help - but give it a try.  On a forum some were reporting that talk21 is now under the yahoo umbrella.  below are the steps this use listed.  (This was an android forum, but the email settings should be the same.  In short it looks like their server names have changed.  An existing account may have simply been forwarded - but if you are reinstalling, it may want a clean install to the right servers.)  Pay particular attention to the server names and port settings.  (this thread was started based on a discussion of Imap vs pop - you are already an Imap person - so ignore that part)
    See if this helps.
why settle for pop3, when IMAP works with talk21 and not only does mail get pushed out faster with IMAP, but when you click refresh it will be received faster than pop3.  The other advantage is subfolders are also supported with IMAP but cant be seen with POP3. This mail feature works with my android eclair & hero phone and the settings are exactly the same for win mobiles also (not tested). The mail setting up roadmap is the same from what i can remember once in the mail feature for win mobi.
This is what you need to do to setup Talk21 email with IMAP.
    Incoming server settings
    IMAP server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port - 143
    Security type - none
    Outgoing Server settings
    SMTP server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port - 25
Security type - none Also important note - Enable 'require sign-in'
and enter your talk21 username and password The End...works a treat for me p.s. Its only taken me 3 years to work it out with win mobile and recently with android. Finally got it to work...hope this helps all the talk21 users out there. if there are any other similar posts out there with no answer...dont forget to mention my name when passing this post around.

Image/content cannot be displayed in email for iPhone 4 after update ISO 7

    Gary,
Thanks so much for your help!
The facebook link is now working for the client...unfortunately the Paypal link does not.
After testing it on other Windows machines with no problems, I am starting to speculate that it is something unique to her setup. I'll have to keep testing I guess and see if any other errors come up.
Thanks again Gary for the very helpful suggestion that solved at least one of my problems!

  • Cannot Setup BBM - Temporary Bbm server error has occured

    I'm using a BB curve 9380 OS 7.1
    Carrier - Vodafone.
I have 84.8 MB free of Application Storage.
I haven downloaded only Whatsapp and Screen Grabber.
I recently downloaded BBM 8 and the the very next day l have problems with changing my display picture. I tried rebooting the phone quite a few times but it didn't help.
So I downloaded BBM 7 hoping it would work normally. But I started facing the same problem again.
Then I decided to download BBM 6.2. I lost all my bbm contacts and once I started re-adding people I wasn't receiving any updates.
Then a friend suggested I do a security wipe of my phone. After which the phone worked normally but I still faced problems with BBM I would always get the message " Cannot Setup BBM - A temporary BBM server error has occurred".
I have a back up of my BBM contacts which can only be restored on the BBM 7&8 versions
    I have also tried:
    Resending service books
And also registering the device through Host Routing Table.
Hope someone can help me with this

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    This KB exists:
KB33652"Temporary Server Error" or "There is no BBM account associated with this email address" is displayed when attempting to move an existing BBM account to the BlackBerry 10 smartphone
Unfortunately, it offers nothing useful...hence, I recommend you contact your mobile service provider for formal support and likely escalation up to BlackBerry for enhanced support.
    Good luck!

Cannot send or recive emails on E71 all of a sudden has stopped working!
Three network say its not them and Virgin media say its nhot them (email address is blueyonder one).
    Help please?
How can I take all off phone and restart?

You probably need to revalidate your hotmail account. I read of some issues a ouple days ago affecting hotmail users. Also many hotmail accounts have to be revalidated every 90 days. CLick on the email setup icon on your BlackBerry and log in to your BIS(BlackBerry Internet Srvice) account. Click on email accounts, see if you need to re-enter your password for your hotmail account.
