Cannot setup Web Services on my HP Photosmart 7525

After setting up a manual IP address for my printer, I can now print on the network BUT Web Services are unavailable. I have followed the printer instructions, your website instructions, confirmed the proxy, IP address, DNS settings, etc. From the Wireless Network Test Results print report, It says "no problems found - successful setup of your wireless printer". BUT at the bottom of the page it says under Current Configuration, Internet - Not Connected "Warning:Web Services require the printer to have a connection to a network with Internet connectivity." Very strange that higher on the page it shows PASS for Wireless On & Wireless Working, Signal QUality Excellent, Connected PASS, NETWORL NAME Found PASS, etc. Please give me a solution, that when implemented, will stick and does not require my time! [You can search my forum ID and you can see that I have had too much problems with this printer over this past month.] Thanks.

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I would like to help out in anyway I can regarding the network issues with the 7525. The results of the network test that state all pass is referring to the connection to the network only, not the ability for the printer to access the Internet. The typical cause of this Internet connection issue is the DNS. Which DNS info have you used? I have found the best DNS's to use are the Level3 and Google, from this web site: Free and Public DNS Servers

HP Photosmart Plus B210 connects to network but cannot enable Web Services

I am on my second HP Photosmart Plus B210 and neither printers have been able to enable Web Services.
When I try to connect I get "Cannot Connect to Server".
I have had my computer, router and printer settings checked by HP Support desk.
I have changed my IP Settings to manual and set up DNS settings as per the Network Config report.
I can print without connecting with a USB cable and I can see the printer on my internet browser but for some reason this printer cannot download Product Updates or enable Web Services.
In desperation, I have got another router - a BT Home Hub 2.0 (which I had spare) and tried this in case my Netgear DG834G Router was causing the problem but this has not changed / helped my problem. I still cannot enable Web Services.
Do I take up HP's offer of a 3rd printer?

Yeah, it is worth a try. I had my HP rep get me one ASAP...but its still silly on HP's part.
Its like selling you a car and saying, "Oh but if you want to use the radio, you have to buy this remote for it because the keypad on the stereo we provide does not work" .. "Oh and we dont include the special remote with the car"...
That's just not worthy of the brand "HP"

Cannot enable web services

I have a recently bought (22/01) B110 and it has setup easily, and connected to the network easily, but I cannot enable web services, it comes up with 'Server Connection Error' nothing else, I have also tried updating the firmware for the printer but it comes up with an identical message

Try these steps and check if printer connects to Web Services or not:
1) Turn OFF the wireless radio
2) Perform Restore Network defaults from the printer menu
3) Turn OFF the printer and unplug the power cable from the back. Wait for 5 min
4) Reconnect the power cable and turn ON the printer
5) Run the wireless setup wizard from the printer menu.
6) check if you are able to print and scan
7) "Remove Web Services" from the printer menu and wait for 2 minutes
8) "Enable Web Services" from the menu and wait.
This should print a page automatically.

Everything works and is enabled except web services. Wireless is on and yet not connected to internet. Other devices such as my smart tv and pc are on same wireless router and do connect to internet. ow to connect my printer to the internet?

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that you are getting an unable to connect message when you try to enable the web services on your Photosmart 6520 printer.
Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers. I’ve included another post that has the instructions and screen shots. It’s for the Photosmart 7510 printer but the steps are the same.

Cannot enable web services to get printer onto ePrint

Got a new Photosmart 7520 and got it onto our wireless network alright. But I cannot enable on the printer the web services (always jumps to automatic software updates and fails to connect; and hence cannot enable ePrint or web services.
Also typing in the IP Address into my browser gives me only a blank page...
What to do and where? on the printer or Mac (OSX 10.9)?

Thank you for the update.
Yes you should be able to ping the printer. That is the best way to check the communication. I have included wikiHow’s article on How to Ping an IP Address. It has a section on how to do this on a Mac. I’m wondering if you have a guest network and if the printer is connected to that. Typically when you can’t access the embedded web server it would indicate that one of the devices is showing connected when it isn’t.
If the ping fails, I would recommend rerunning the wireless setup wizard from the front panel. The instructions on how to do this can be found on page 48 of your User Guide in the section titled “To connect the product with the Wireless Setup Wizard”. Once you have run the wireless setup wizard chose the option to print the report.

Cannot add web service security

I use cxf to create web services and decide to use weblogic web service security policy.
However, after deploying to weblogic 12c, I cannot see the security part in WSDL

Thank you. But I still get error: java.lang.ClassCastException: weblogic.j2ee.descriptor.wl.WeblogicApplicationBeanImpl cannot be cast to weblogic.j2ee.descriptor.wl.WeblogicWebAppBean if I deploy this web application from a folder.
I export this web application as a war file using MyEclipse. However, after deploying this war file to weblogic 12c, I get error:

Cannot find Web Service Template

I cannot locate the template for Web Services in my fresh install of Visual Studio 2012 Professional under Windows 7. I tried resetting my my settings under Tools/Import and Export Settings/Reset all settings, and I tried devenv/installvstemplates.

As far as I know, ASP.NET Web Service Template is only available for .NET Framework 3.5, cannot used in .NET framework 4.0 or newest version.
You can use WCF service application instead. Or you can create a ASP.NET Empty Web application. Then right click the application then select Add->New Item:

A failure occured while calling Diagnostics Setup web service

Hi Guys.
When performing the Automatic Activities of the Solution Manager 7.1 Basic Configuration, on one step you can execute the Diagnostics Configuration.
When clicking on the details it shows the following message.
SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")
Error when processing Web service call
I tried running the configuration a user having SAP_ALL, also j2ee_admin, so no clue where is the authorization fault.
Any ideas what is causing this Authorization Error?
I also tried to access SMD manually on saphost:8000/SMD but it says Root Cause Analysis Setup has been moved and Call transaction SOLMAN_SETUP from the SAP GUI to configure SAP Solution Manager.
Is there any url to access to SMD directlty without going thru SOLMAN_SETUP since i dont see where is the url.

SAP WebAS Supportability - cannot run Web Service

Hi Experts,
I found in the supported platform document, boe_xi_30_supported_platforms_windows.pdf.
It states that SAP Web Application Server 7 ... Not supported for Web Services.
Does this mean we cannot use Xcelius with Query as a web service on the top of SAP BW ?

In the company I'm working for, we want to implement this solution (Business Object <-> SAP and Xcelsius with QAAWS in order to extract data from SAP Queries).
To do so, we got advises from SAP consultants. Apparently, there is a way to customise the WaS server with a special SDK, in order that it supports Web Services.
But the consultants did not recommand this solution (I didn't know why). The way we choosed is to use a Tomcat for the Web Services and a WaS for the rest of all the applications (You just have to interface the two server and to separate the tasks).
I can't tell you the result we've got, because we will try it next month...

Thanks for the reply. It looks like we're going to have to complete some more steps. Follow the steps below and once the steps are completed then you can follow the steps above.
1. Go to the front panel of your printer.
2. Select the wireless icon on your printer.
3. Select Settings.
4. Scroll and select restore network defaults.
5. Select Ok to restore defaults.
6. Now select wireless and go through the wireless setup wizard.

Cannot test web service

In jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 I created a simple stateless session bean with one method.
I exposed the method through Web Service Endpoint interface and created ejb-jar deploy profile.
I can successfully deploy produced ear file to oc4j (at deploy time all descriptors for the web service are created).
Web service is working and I can test it through oc4j console application.
Problem is the same procedure is not working in jdeveloper/oc4j version 10.1.3.3 and 10.1.3.4.
Ear is successfully deployed, web service is created and available inside the application but I cannot test it. I see "The page cannot be displayed" instead of web service tester page.
Do you have any suggestions?

finally I found where the problem was: url of web service in tester was wrong. I don't know why and who changed it (it is generated by console application).

Officejet 6500A cannot enable web services/needs proxy

I bought this new 6500A so I could e-print. Can't set it up. It keeps telling me Web services has not been enabled. MAKE SURE PRINTER IS CONNECTED TO INTERNET AND TOUCH CONTINUE. I have been able to print my e-mails from my comcast account. I CAN GO TO ANY WEB PAGE AND PRINT THAT PAGE BUT YET IT SAYS IT ISNT CONNECTED.. Then it says might need a proxy address.
I have been working on this for almost a week if not soon getting it I am taking it back and buying a different brand.
I had my HP Officejet 6310 for a gazillion years but am ready to get a different brand because i cannot get this to work. PLEASE, PLEASE, HELP.

Cannot create web service: target server does not support JAXRPC

I created a web application project, with bundled Tomcat5.5 as server. When I tried to create a web service (right click project name, select New->web service), I got a error message saying "The current target server for this project does not support JAXRPC so no web service can be created". I tried adding jaxrpc lib to the project, it didn't work. I also tried to add jaxrpc jar to Tomcat using Server Manager, it didn't work either.
Did I miss anything, during installation or project setup...? Is there a way to make the problem go away?

Can you please try the bundled Sun Java System Application Server as the target server for the project? (You can change the target server from the project's properties dialog, in the 'Run' category, using the 'server' drop-down box).
I also noticed the same error message as you when i set my target server to bundled tomcat; when i changes the server to SJSA, the message went away.
When i searched in the IDE Help (by selecting Help | Help Contents menu item, switching to 'search' tab in the help window , typing 'jwsdp tomcat' in the Find box and pressing enter), I came across the topic "Using JWSDP 1.6 on the Tomcat Web Server". This topic explains how to install Web Services Developer Pack on tomcat server. I could be wrong but I think this perhaps needs to be installed manually...

Cannot get web service using 2-way SSL to work

WebLogic 8.1 sp4, using jdk 1.4.2_05 within BEA install dir (not JRockit). Also using WLWorkshop.
I'm trying to call a web service provided by a third-party requiring 2-way SSL; The third-party provided a server cert to trust and a key/cert to use from our client. After updating my key and trust stores, I'm able to run this with no problem from another web service test product (CapeClear).
How does one do this from WLS? I did the following (nothing has worked):
- Started my WLS server; using the console, updated the Configuration|Keystores & SSL section and restarted - the console output indicates that all loaded correctly. I also changed the option on Two Way Client Cert Behavior to 'Client Certs Requested and Enforced'.
- Updated my setDomainEnv.cmd to include the following options -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerify=true -Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=off; I also added the -Dssl.debug=true -Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true options.
- Within Workshop, created my web service control from the provided WSDL and generated a test JPF; when I run the test, I get an exception related to an invalid content type (text\html). This occurs because the client-side SSL piece did not take place and the client was presented with a login-page rather than a web-service XML result.
- I updated the JDK security jars with domestic strength algorithms; no change in behavior.
- No SSL errors in the debug trace (I can provide log upon request).
What other parameter and/or setting do I need to update to get this to work?

I too am struggling with SSL but I was given some help by BEA. This does not help me since It seems like the proxy jar I download from the WS Home Page wants to go directly to the JPD not the jws. This example of two way SSL should work for you. I am including the Main class but not the generated files it refers to. I don't know how to attach files to the news groups. The key thing it to make use of the adapters. The Impl and Port are part of the downloaded proxy.

It was something to do with DNS settings.
I had to revert to an older DNS settings of 'data.xxxxxxxx.com' as after reboot for a new DNS of 'server.aaaaaaaa.inhouse' www kept asking for 'data.xxxxxxxx.com' in the error log file.
Seems that OS X Server's DNS settings do not like being changed through the Server Admin application. Though isn't that why we have a Server Admin app and nice OS X front ends?!
