Cannot share aperture photos

I can no longer share aperture photos with apple TV using home sharing in iTunes. This happened just recently, probably since 05/01; however, only notice a few days ago that this is happening. I have aperture since Jan/11 and shared photos normally. I can select aperture from drop-down menu in iTunes, but the total photos shared shows 0 (I have at least 9000 photos in aperture database). Please help!

I also had the same problem, but was able to resolve the problem by creating a brand new Aperature library, and then importing my old library into it. I made sure that the Aperature preferences were set to share everything, and when I went back into Apple TV it could see all my photos.
This could be a real pain if you don't have enough disk space, to copy your entire library, but I didn't have this problem.

Share Aperture photos over network

Hallo every body,
iam searching for a solution, how to share photo over network for a long time, in our company we have 40 macs(imac, mac bookpro) and 3 xserve, vtrak and 30pc. and we have round about 30000 pic they are saved in iphoto library on one of the xserve.
My Boss wants from me to find a solution to share these photos over network. the mac users must use iphoto to access these photos.
which program shall i install on the server so that the client users can access the photos from there macs through iphoto.
at the beginning i used the share library option in iphoto, until iphoto 9.1.1. By iphoto 9.1.1 on the client when i click on the shared library my searching field disappears and i cant search in the shared photos.
I thought Aperture is the solution, so i shared the aperture library over the network (with afp protocoll) but in order to access the network aperture library, first i need to install aperture on the client and then i open iphoto and from iphoto option i can choose the option access aperture library.
how can i solve it without to install aperture on the client, is there any iphoto plugin so that i can access aperture library without installing aperture
or is there somebody uses another solution???

Neither iPhoto nor Aperture is the solution for this.
The idea of using iphoto on the client machines is wrong, it's just not designed for that use. Iphoto is designed for a family with a point and shoot camera, or even a phone. Aperture is a pro level photomanager. Installing Aperture on all the mchines means you will have to purchase the app for all the machine, you need a site licence.
Also, it won't work anyway. You can't share an Aperture Library like an iPhoto one an only one user can access the Library at a time. So, one of the users acesses the Library and all the others are locked out.
Neither are what you need: you need a media server application. A pro level media server. Tell your boss he's fooling himself if he thinks anything else will work reliably.

How to share Aperture photos

Just got 3rd generation Apple TV - does anyone know how to get Aperture photos to show up? I've set up home sharing

In the iTunes application go to file > homesharing and choose the photos you wish to share, click apply/sync and you should then be able to select the photos on the Apple TV.

Can't share Aperture photos with iWork and iLife

I can't see my Aperture photos in any iWork '08 or iLife '08 application. I am running 1.5.4; sharing previews is enabled in Aperture Prefs; previews for my entire Library set to 1280px (and there are definitely previews for every master image). However, I see nothing in any iWork '08 or iLife '08 app – no Aperture 'disclosure triangle' in the Media pane. Nothing. Zip.
I have rebuilt the Aperture database (Command + Option on start-up) for all 242 projects, but still no go.
The only thing I think it could be is that my 'Aperture Library.aplibrary' (all 95GB of it) is stored in its entirety on a different hard drive, with an alias pointing to it from my '~/user/Pictures' folder on my boot drive (which it shares with iPhoto Library). I thought alias' were supposed to be transparent to the OS and the other apps would be able to see my 'Aperture Library.aplibrary' as if it were on my primary drive (i.e., the same drive). Is there a permissions thing happening here?
This one has got me stumped. Any thoughts on why I can't share my Aperture photos with iWork '08 or iLife '08 would be gratefully received.

Solved it!!!
I just went a little berserk with the plist files in ~/user/Library/Preferences (sorry, not very scientific....).
Interestingly, in addition to iWorks and iLife apps having their own preference files, there is also a file called 'com.apple.iApps.plist'. This was locked for some reason. Anyway, it and all the other pref files got trashed and then the trash emptied. Then I restarted my Mac and opened up iPhoto.
Bingo!
Same for Pages, etc.

Cannot Share/Send Photo with MDM Managed Device

When using any device that has an Exchange (ActiveSync) account created through an MDM product (in this case Barracauda MDM, but had the issue with Absolute's product as well), you cannot share (attach) any photo via email in the Photo app. What appears is the Setup page for Mail requesting you to create a email account as if one doesn't exist. (We do not allow any other accounts (i.e. Gmail, iCloud, etc.) to be created on our company owned devices).
One can though "Insert Photo" when in the creation part of an email in the Mail app, but this allows only one photo to be inserted at a time. As well it is not very intuitive as the user must know how to do this and it is on the part that is usually hidden on the contexual menu that you get to select/insert/etc. items in Mail.
Not being able to send/share from the Photo app is very difficult and confusing for our users, any recommendations, fixes, etc.?
Note: It does work fine if you use an Exchange (ActiveSync) account manually setup on an iOS, but just not thru an MDM managed/setup Exchange (ActiveSync) account.

Share Aperture photos over bonjour

My in-laws are over and want a bunch of pictures out of my Aperture library. Is there a way for them to browse and copy my pictures onto their computer, in the same way that you can with iPhoto libraries? Thanks for any tips and help.

If he's on the same lan as you then yes but the performance is not great. I have my library on an external drive connected to my iMac. With sharing turned on both computers I can access the library from my Macbook Pro which also has Aperture on it but it is very slow because I'm using a wireless connection. However if I open iPhoto on the MBP the import feature is a little better if I import from the RAW file from the external HD.

Why can't I share my photos to facebook or emails?

I just downloaded tyhis program and was very exctied to share my very first edited photo to my facebook account when I went through all the standard steps to share it and when it was 100% uploaded, I got a popup alert message that reads: There was a problem with your internet connection. Please check that a firewall is not blocking Elements Organizer from accessing the internet and that you have an internet connection.
So I clicked ok on the alert popup message and then another one pops up that reads: An error has occured transferring files. Would you like to try again, stop the workflow and try again later, or terminate this service completely?
In which my opions were: Yes, try again, stop now, try again later, and terminate.
I have tried all the options and I cannot share my photo. I have also tried to share this photo to an email and that will not work either. Please help.

Just what program as you using, Photoshop Elements 12 and the Elements Organizer 12 or Premiere Elements 12 and the Elements Organizer 12?
From what you wrote, it sounds like you are in the Elements Organizer 12 and trying to work with its Share/Facebook and Photo Mail. Each comes with its own considerations aside from messages of Internet connection issues.
1. Check with your Internet provider on your Internet connection. Reset the router if applicable. Clean out your Web Content Cache for your default browser.
2. Make sure that you can upload content saved to the hard drive to Facebook at the Facebook web site. Try to upload your Timeline content to Facebook from Premiere Elements 12, if you have Premiere Elements 12, using Premiere Elements 12's Publish+Share/Social Websites/Facebook.
3. In Elements Organizer 12, what is your Email Client set at in the Sharing preferences? How have you set that up?
4. Watch for problems with antivirus, firewalls? Have you disabled them to determine their possible contributions to the problems?
Please review and then we can decide what next.

If you want just the originals, then you can go into the Aperture library (right click on it and do "show package contents"). Inside is a directory called "Masters" and you can find the original files in a bunch of subfolders.
But... you'll lose all adjustments, keywords, and other information, and just have the files as they were imported originally from the cameras.
Easiest is probably to buy Aperture and update everything, and then migrate to the Photos application down the road if that's what you want. Aperture 3.0 came out in 2010 (five years ago!) so it's not like you've upgraded in a while

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

My Nokia 701 cannot share photo using NFC to C7

My 701 used to be able to share photo from gallery to my wife's C7 Anna. Strangely, when i tried to send few marked photos, the sending process was taking forever and i had to cancel it. After that, when i tried to share even one photo at a time, the process was still taking forever (sending via NFC unsuccessful). Cannot share photos with photo sharing

i am having trouble rouble with shared photo streams, I'll recieve the invite and as soon as I accept I always get the message that "this photo stream is no longer shared! How can I sort this out?
I also have family sharing on but the family share album is nowhere to be found in my photos app, if I look at my sons iPad it shows he is subscribed to the family album set up by me and if I send a new photo share request nobody ever recieves it!

Due to the Adobe updatesi have photoshop 3.2 and cannot open older photo files to be able to share or print.

I cannot locate Aperture. It seems to have disappeared. The File Library is still in my photos on Finder. How do I recover Aperture?

I cannot find Aperture any longer on my computer. The file library is available in my Photos in the Finder but the program itself seems to have completely disappeared! When I click on the library to view a photo in aperture, it is now viewed in Preview. I do not have an Aperture icon on desktop or sidebar any longer. How do I recover it?! Help!
