  • Share iphoto'13 library to ipad or iphone

Hello, I would like to know if it was possible to share iphoto'13 library to ipad or iphone, and which apps to do it?s

You can't do with photos the same way you can with music. The only way you can share those photos with your iPad and not have to upload those photos to the iPad is to create Shared Photo Streams from iPhoto on your Mac.
Each shared PS can hold up to 5000 photos.  You can have up to 100 shared streams.
See this Apple document for further details: iCloud: My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing limits.

  • As a new member to the mac world could some please tell how i can get my imac, macbook and iPhone to share the same iPhoto library

How can i share the same iPhoto library so that i dont have to update each computer?

Not easily. iPhoto is designed for a single user. While it is possible to share the Library there are significant limitations.
Some questions: Do you want all three libraries identical? Same photos, same Albums, Same slideshows?
Do you import and arrange photos on one machine or on all of them?
    What networking do you have?

  • How to watch my Mac iPhoto Library on my iPhone?

    Hi,
is there a way to watch my Mac iPhoto Library on my iOS devices using Home WiFi?
I am regurarly sharing my music, clips, films etc, but cannot find a way to share my Photos, although photo sharing is activated on my iPhoto mac... I can see it from my AppleTV, but nothing seen on my iPhone...
    Any help pse?

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
IOS 7 is coming - maybe a change there - who knows
At this time the only thing iPhoto for IOS and iPhoto for the Mac share is the name - nothing else

I have lost the original remote for my Apple TV. I went to install it at my fiancés house, and cannot use the remote app on my ipad or iPhone. Can I still control the Apple TV with the apps?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

  • I don't have iPhoto on my ipad or iPhone. Apple says these are free but it is $4.99 in the App Store?

I don't have iPhoto on my ipad or iPhone. Apple says these are free but it is $4.99 in the App Store?

They are free if you have activated a new iOS 7 compatible device since 1st September 2013. When did you buy and activate your iPad and/or iPhone ? If on or after that date then try logging out of your account on that device by tapping on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if it then shows as free on it

  • After migrating to a new mac; iphoto library cannot save

    Hi,
I'm faced with the problem that since the migration to a new mac; iphoto 11 cannot save any changes to the library. I can import, I can add an album, but if I quit Iphoto and start again every change is gone.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Sync Mac iPhoto library with multiple Macs and devices using iCloud

Our house is a "Mac" house. My wife and I have two iMacs, two iPhones, and an iPad. I have 30,000 photos in my library dating back to 2002 with a size of 100 Gb. I am paying the $3.99/month for 200 Gb of storage, but currently only using about 7 Gbs. I am running the latest of everything. iOS 8 on devices, and Yosemite on both iMacs.
I am having troubles maintaining two separate libraries. I will upload to my iMac, my wife will upload to her iMac, but I want our entire library to be synced on both computers. Furthermore, I want pictures to show up on all devices. How do I get my entire 30000 photo library on my iMac uploaded to iCloud? I want the entire library to be synced to all our devices? I want all of our photos that we have taken to be in one happy consolidated iPhoto Library, accessible on every computer and device.
    Thanks
    Kevin

This is not yet possible between Macs and iOS devices, but the new Photos.app for Mac, to be released early next year, will support it.
Right now, only the iOS 8 devices can use iCloud Photo Library (Beta). That will store the Photo Library in iCloud and sync to all iOS devices.  See:    iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ - Apple Support
Macs can upload to iCloud Photo Library currently only from the web interface:  https://www.icloud.com/#photos.
It is not clear, if the Photos.app for Mac will support family sharing. We do not know much about the new app to come.
The iOS version only supports one AppleID so far.
And it cannot yet be recommended to upgrade the iOS devices to Cloud Photo Library Beta, because you will no longer be able to use iTunes Photo Sync or My Photo Stream to upload photos to your iOS devices.
I want all of our photos that we have taken to be in one happy consolidated iPhoto Library, accessible on every computer and device.
Added:  iPhoto is a single user database, that needs the iPhoto Library to be stored on a locally connected drive, and it is not possible to store the library on a network volume or cloud storage.  The new Photos.app will support the cloud storage.
Apple's recommendation for sharing a library between iPhoto users is the sneaker drive:

  • How to transfer Iphoto library to ipad

How can I transfer selected albums from my Macbook Pro to my ipad?  I had someone do this for me on my iphone and I have 2000 duplicates... I purchased the IPHoto Library Manager and have tried to put all the duplicates into a duplicate file.  Now I have two problems.  How to remove the flags I put on the duplicates in ILibrary Manager (i cannot get the flags off the originals) and how to avoid this problem transferring photos to my ipad.
    Help anyone?
    Tx

Okay I figured the transfer part out but not how to remove the flags in IPhoto Library Manager which I got to remove the 2000 duplicate photos on my iphone.  Anyone know how to do that?  Thanks

  • I have 2 iphoto libraries but one is lost, missing, cannot seem to find it... tried an apple care person - they were no help - we use Time Machine for external backup... but cannot find my older iPhoto library! I desperately need some help!

I have recently had something really odd happen within iphoto.  My photos from May-Oct 2013 appeared to be missing from my primary Iphoto library.
last night I was trying to find any additional Iphoto libraries on my Imac... I could not find them... but then somehow the May-Oct 2013 library showed up and now I cannot find the "current" primary Iphoto library.   I sought help from apple care today but no solutoin from them after 2 hours trying.  I have timemachine that backs up my Imac each day to an external hard drive.   When I open Iphoto while holding down the "option" key - it lets me choose which Iphoto library... but only (1) library comes up...  I can't figure out what happened - but it seems that I must have more than one Iphoto library because yesterday I was able to see all my photos except the "gap in dates" from May-Oct 2013.  Today - I can only open a Library called Iphoto2014... and it contains the photos from the gap in dates.  I can't "see" any other options to open photos... but just yesterday there appeared to be a different library available.
Any advice or steps i should take to locate my missing photos - would be soooooo much appreciated.

  • Cannot convert my v4 iPhoto library to v6

My old Mac died and I got a new one. The old one was probably running iPhoto 4, and the new one came with iPhoto 6. I have restored my old iPhoto library into the Pictures folder from a backup. I ran BatchMod (as suggested by Old Toad)on the iPhoto library folder, then opened iPhoto holding down apple option shift, and my photos are still not visible in iPhoto.
Can anyone please tell me what to do to recover my libary?
