How do you shut off skype from android phone. I can't find any button to shut it off once it's on!

To change this go in Settings, then Apps. You should be in a tab called "Downloaded." From there, scroll down until you see Skype. Click on Skype, scroll down and touch the "Clear defaults" button. Next time you'll dial make sure to select "Dialer" or something like that (and definitely NOT Skype) before clicking on "Always launch this app". I hope this helps. P.S.: As a follow up from my previous message, I have uninstalled Skype and stopped using it. I switched everything to Google Hangouts and Whatsapp.

I FINALLY got it to work on BOTH iPhone 4 and iPpad 3. Here is what I had to do:
Had to DELETE all e-mail accounts including icloud.
Did a hard reset (hold down button on top right corner and round button on bottom center)
Then once it came back on, the iPhone had ALL of the accounts still on it and it was receivng e-mail.
The iPad receive e-mail until I did the steps above 5 times. Plus, I had to add back all of the e-mail accounts vs. on the iPhone 4 they were there when my phone came on.
Now I am receiving e-mail on both devices normally.
No clue why this happened, but Apple needs to find a fix ASAP.

See if this fixes things.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

HP Pre 3 shutting off while making a phone call, even after doctoring.

When I make a phone call and get the phone to my ear instantly (so sensor shuts off the screen) 1 in 8 phone calls my phone would just cut off and shut off. Then I have to hold the power button and switch the mute three times to bring it back to life.
If I make a phone call and let the phone stand in my hand for like 5 seconds before i bring it to my ear it will work just fine.
I also noticed that screen doesn't instantly turns on after I get it away from my ear, sometimes it dimms up really slowly. These occasions are rare but they are still there.
Finally I doctored it (mainly because Skype started to sign me out after 15-20 minutes while on WiFi) and problem is still there.
This problem occured first like few weeks after I got the phone (which is like four months ago) and its been there ever since.
Post relates to: Pre p100ueu (O2)

I'm not sure what all that means, or what the marks of a good, planned restart are, but it's a place to begin. Now all I have to do is wait for an unscheduled restart. Hmm, maybe I ought to trigger a luna restart, and see what that looks like in messages, as I don't know whether the unplanned stuff is a full or luna restart.

Cannot install Adobe Air on Android phone

I cannot install Adobe AIR on my Android phone (v. 2.2.1)
I search for "Adobe AIR" in the market and the app is not found.
So, I downloaded an app that was build to run in AIR and when I launch it, I get an alert "This application requires Adobe AIR. Install AIR now?" I click Install and I get an alert "The requested item could not be found."
Then I installed the Amazon store and purchased (for free) Adobe Air, but it too fails on install.
I can't believe this is an issue w/ my phone.
Anyone know what the issue could be?

If I am getting it correctly, both requires same ARM version, and Hardware Vector FPU.
But I have found many devices, where Adobe Flash is installed and running. (If market does not show Adobe Flash, device manufacturer provides flash apk which works)
But can not install Adobe Air. Market does not show Adobe Air.
Is there any way to sort this out?
I get feeling that as Flash is more popular software, people have got patched version for the same. But for Air, it does not exist.

QUESTION: in Adobe Reader 9, i cannot shut off the pale blue color on

my files. it appeared one day unwanted and un-announced, like a bum on my doorstep. i use Skype extensively. its an extra step to click on the Adobe window to shut off the pale blue color, so i can read the page clearly when my Skype window is open. i have to do it for every damned page, and it's a pain. the problem occurs when i'm not on Skype, too. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cannot shut off computer with powerr on/off switch

Dear friendly Computer Geeks,
My computer is an HP desktop , product s5-1110, microprocessor Intel Pentium CPU g620 @ 2.60 GHz , Bios 7.16 , usb input device, hard drive st31000524as, windows OS 7.
The computer crashed , I could not determine the reason. I was able to save my personal files by starting the computer in Safe mode. Then I loaded the virgin OS 7 as provided by HP in the hard drive partition.
It would not start in the regular way. I then initialized it , pressed the escape key to enter in safe mode, select restore default values then proceed to start windows in regular mode. A problem keeps coming on. After 20 minutes of operation I cannot stop the computer with shut off command or with the Power on/off switch. I must remove the power cord and when I want to restart it I must do as described before.
I would appreciate your help in resolving this troublesome problem.

If you have forgotten the passcode for the lock screen, connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to set up a new code during this process. Check this article about it:

I used iCloud to back up my calendar. Now I cannot add events from my android phone.

I get an image of each of my calendars with a paddlock and read only notation. Cannot find a way to open the lock to sync with my android phone.

After two weeks I have learned that there is no quick fix for this. I have dropped iCal from iCloud. I have deleted all reference to my 3rd party syncing software and I have reloaded my 3rd party syncing software. I have to delete some files hidden and accessable via terminal and I should be back in business.

Cannot log in on my Android Phone

Tried to log on using Skype ID and Microsoft Account, but no avail. Skype would not allow me to log on at all using my phone today. I even reset my password thinking that might have been the problem.

Voice mail messages can be listened to in the client software - not via zip files or e-mail links. Please see the section of the article from the FAQ that I highlighted in orange type.

If someone has recently left you a message, you will see a notification badge on the Skype icon in the dock and in the Recent section in the sidebar.

If you can’t hear the message, try turning up the speaker volume on your computer.
After you have listened to a voice message, it is stored locally on your computer (as a .DAT file in ~/Library/Application Support/Skype/<username>/voicemail). This means that you won’t be able to listen to it again if you sign in to Skype on a different computer. To delete a voice message, you will need to delete the .DAT file.
