• Cannot sign into Visual Studio Community 2013 to extend lincence - VS attempts to start Internet Explorer

Hello,
I noticed that my trial period for VS Community 2013 expired. While waiting for my company to get a real purchased licence I have to continue working one way or another. I would like to extend my licence by signing into the VS community. However, the MS
Internet Explorer is disabled by company policy due to safety issues. Now, VS Community 2013 only and always attempts to open MS Explorer whenever I try to sign in, or check for updated versions, or whatever. I cannot find a workaround to open the links in
another browser but MS Explorer.
Please help me to extend my licence so I can keep working! I cannot (!) ever use the MS Explorer for this, so I need to find another solution. Any suggestions, please?
Thanks in advance,
Nadja

Hi Nadja,
As you said that when you sign into Visual Studio Community 2013 without using the
MS Internet Explorer browser, but you cannot sign into successfully Visual Studio Community 2013.
So could you please provide me the detailed error message after you sing in the Visual Studio Community 2013?
What browser you use to sing in this VS Community 2013?
Generally, I know that we can sign in this VS Community 2013 successfully using the default MS Internet Explorer browser.
So if possible, I suggest you could try to enable MS Internet Explorer browser and then try to sign in this VS Community 2013 check this issue again.
In addition, I suggest you could also try to sing in a Microsoft web page such as a Hotmail email using your browser and then check if you could sing in successfully.
However, I suggest you could try to consult about how to extend license for this VS Community 2013 by
calling 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific Time) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing

• I can access web but cannot sign into email from my laptop. I can sign into email from explorer, don't like it. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I have always used Firefox and for web browsing and accessing my email account. During the last 2 days I upgraded my email home page and had to sign on again.
Since then, I can access the web using Firefox but cannot sign into my email, the sign in button seems to be locked
I can access my email account through Explorer, and from an alternative PC.

From your description that sounds like absolutely nothing happens, nothing moves I'd guess Adblock Plus extension might be blocking something, try disabling ADP at its toolbar icon, if you have the extension.
If you are not saving cookies for google.com you could have problems with cookies which would be the next thing to check out.
If you bring up http://www.google.com do things work, and do you really need to sign in to use Google at all -- just want to make sure it is really the sign-in.

• Cannot sign in to Hotmail.

Everything was working fine, but now I cannot access hotmail. I can get it on Internet Explorer, but not Firefox.
I get the Microsoft 2011 "Live" normal page, but cannot
sign in (no provision to do so), and even the "Sign Up" for an account doesn't work. What did I do wrong?

Hey all....I awkened at 12:35 am with a thought about what might be wrong and it's one thing I did not think to check. I went through all the blocked cookies. I went through 3 times and did not see anything Live, msn, hotmail etc that I had blocked but then I thought what the heck, and deleted everything, blocked or allowed.
Went back and tried to sign in and....it worked!
Now, I have no idea which blocked cookie it was because none were obvious to me and the ones that came up for approval to allow or not during sign-in all were live.com cookies.
Anyway, thanks a million for your help...I did learn a few things on this one from you all, so it was a good experience.
Best of all, I don't have to use IE anymore! :)

• Cannot sign in to Nokia account on Nokia Suite 3.2...

I need to update my E63 phone software but apparently I need to sign in to my Nokia account to do that.
Except I cannot do that, I keep getting told Nokia Suite cannot sign in to my Nokia account (at one point it said "cannot connect to server").
My internet connection is working fine, I have no proxies, and my Firewall settings are letting the suite through.
I found an FAQ telling me to get rid of expired certificates, but I did this and it did not help at all.
I can't even send feedback through Nokia Suite.
Please help

Hi Hedgehodge,
So to confirm, you've tried this:
Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates > Trusted Root Certification Authorities. Delete all GTE CyberTrust certificates whose expiration date has passed. You should be left with one GTE certificate that is valid.
Also have you tried to update over the air?

• Big Brother Live Feed will not play or cannot sign in to website.

I cannot sign in to CBS.com to watch the Big Brother Live Feeds. When I hit the "sign in" button, either a "secure connection" error shows up or nothing happens and the sign-in pop-up box stays on the screen idled and will not disappear. CBS.com has two different choices to click to sign in, neither one works. It will work in Internet Explorer.

Try this:
* Go to [http://www.cbs.com/ CBS]
* Click on the earth symbol on the left end of the location bar
* Click more information
* Go to the Permissions tab
* Set all permissions to Allow
WARNING: Setting all permissions to allow may pose a serious security risk. Do so at your own risk.

• Cannot sign in to app store on MY account, but different acc works fine

Hi,
Today I signed into someone else's AppleID on my iPad to purchase an app (with their permission.) But now that I signed out of their account, I am now unable to sign in to MY account! I get "the Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect" the first time - then the second time I try, it just doesn't respond at all. Also, I am signed into my account right now (to post this message), I can access the account online via appleid.apple.com, AND I cannot sign in on my iPhone 3GS either. I have tried resetting the password, to no avail.
I am also doubtful it is a problem with the App Store itself, because I can sign back in to the alternate account with no problems. Suggestions? Anyone else having (or had) this same problem before?
Message was edited by: amaclac

Well, dunno if I did something to fix it unknowingly or if it was some sort of Apple hiccup, but I can now sign in on the iPad. I just tried signing in on iTunes to see if that would work; it did, then I tried signing in once again on iPad and that worked as well. Not sure what was going on, but all fixed now! Phew.

• Cannot sign in max free accounts have been activated on this phone, bought on ebay

cannot sign in max number of free accounts activated on this iphone

the best solution for this is go to Settings> General> Reset> Reset all settings.
This will not delete any data, but only settings & this might resolve the issue.

• I cannot sign into App Store. "unknown error" and then "We cannot complete your request. There has been an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"

I cannot sign in to the App Store.
I changed countries a few months ago and updated all my account info and everything was working fine, until recently, while trying to upgrade my softwear to Mavericks, which I cannot do. My apple Username and password work fine on iTunes and on my iPhone. I can also access all my account info when I sign in through the website. It just will not work for the App Store on my Mac Pro.
When I click "Welcome" under Quick Links it asks me to sign in. I sign in with my Apple Username and Password and then it DOES NOTHING
When I click on "Free Upgrade" and then "Install" on the mavericks software, it asks me to sign in again. This time it says "unknown error" and then it says "We cannot complete your request. There has been an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
I''m completely blocked. I cannot procede without being able to update my software.
Please help me.

You could try this.
Back up all data.Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Reboot and test. If there's no change, restore the item you deleted from a backup, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, you may need to recreate some of your settings in the Network preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

• I I cannot sign out of my comcast email in Firefox but I can do so in IE.

My husband and I each have our own email account on Comcast email. We almost always use Firefox to open it. Suddenly, I cannot sign out of my email account on Firefox. I click on sign-out, then click on sign in, but the email automatically goes to my email account. After signing out, and clicking on email, it sometimes says "oh oh, you're not signed in." But when I click on sign in, instead of giving me the sign in box it goes right to my open email account. Just can't get out of it. When I am on IE, I can still sign in and out of both Comcast accounts without a problem.
I use a laptop with Windows 7 or 7XP I believe, not sure which it is. Thanks for your help.

Try to clear the cookies from that Comcast website.
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
