A while back I ran into a Premiere Elements 12 Sign In issue where the message was that there was no Internet connect and/or the computer clock was the problem. Neither was the case.
The fix was updating the Adobe Application Manager - How To described in following blog post.

Cannot create slideshow in Premiere Elements 8

I just installed and am trying to use Premiere Elements 8. I have been racking my brain for the last two hours trying to figure out how to create a slide show. I do not have a create button anywhere. I jumped from Elements 1.0 to 8. I am ready to return 8 and go back to 1 if I cannot figure this out.
Where do I find the slideshow dialog box?
Can someone please help?????

Oh come on, Eric! You're not really going to return the program just because you couldn't figure out how to use it, are you?
I"m just teasing you. The program can be a bit intimidating at first. That's why I spend most of my day showing people how to use it.
Actually, there are at least four ways to build a slideshow in Premiere Elements. I show you how to do them all in my book, "The Muvipix.com Guide to Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 8," if you're interested.It's available on Amazon.com and from the Muvipix store.
I don know specifically what kind of slideshow you're trying to create, so I can't give you specific instructions.
But first, before you bring any photos into Premiere Elements, be sure to resize them to 1000x750 pixels, per the FAQs to the right of this forum.

Then use Get Media/From Files and Folders to get the photos into your Project panel (also under the Organize tab.)
Once you've got all of your photos gathered in your Project media panel, select them all and right-click -- and select Create Slideshow.
As I say, there are a number of other ways to do it, but this is the easiest. There is also an option for creating a slideshow in Themes and there's a slideshow creator built into the Organizer.
But that should get you started.

Cannot activate Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 on Mac

my hard disk crash and I have to reinstall Mac OSX on my system. After new Yosemite OS installed, I restore all user apps and data from Time Machine. After entire, Elements Organizer 13 started to behave abnormally. The app open with a help request dialog window in the middle of the screen, and I cannot close it.
so I proceeded to uninstall Photoshop and Premiere elements 13 and a,so Elements a Organizer using built in Uninstaller
aafter uninstalled, I proceed to reinstall both app using the original app files ai download d when the apps were purchased.
it ask for serial number, I enter the serial correctoh but both app refuse to activate, stated that the serial cannot be validate and ask me to contact support
i do so and have chat with Adobe support for more than 30 minutes, no solution Offered which is so frustrating. I ask the tech support to provide me instruction an new serial key or method to solve this problem by mail. But there is no follow up at all.
what on Earth can I do to reinstall and activate both apps?

I'm having trouble signing in. It says that I have no connection with the internet, but actually I do. Plus, I can't download the effects either.
When I had to activate, I had to do it offline, because it accused that I wasn't connected.

Project cannot be opened in Premiere Elements 11. "SCWeb.sc file is missing"

Adobe Premiere Elements 11 cannot open new or existing project. Error is "SCWeb.sc file is missing". Please help.

When did Premiere Elements 11 last not have this missing SCWeb.sc file missing issue? Did you install any
new program around the time the SCWeb.sc matter set in?
For now...assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit...
Does an antivirus scan detect any security problems? If not, then
determine that the problem exists with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
If it does, then
1. Delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 11.0 Folder in which the Adobe
Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.

and, in the 11.0 Folder, is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the
whole 11.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Make sure to be working with Folder Option
Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives enabled so that you can see the complete path cited.
2. Uninstall, do free ccleaner run through (regular and registry cleaner parts), and then install with
antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

Cannot sign into Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 - no access to online services or tutorials.

Anyone else have problems signing into Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 tonight? I keep getting error message 400 or the program simply freezes. My adobe ID and password are valid. Help Line told me to post this question here. Any and all help are greatly appreciated. I would like to access the online storage, email capabilities and tutorials.

It works OK and the syncing between devices is nifty. At least it is with my daughter's ipad, the Android app does not work with the Android 2.2 software version on my phone.
Why not give it a try. If you had images on photoshop.com they'll have been transferred to Revel (same id / password as you used for photoshop.com). and you can install a trial version of PSE12 and see if you like the mobile albums feature. Installing PSE12 will not mess up anything in your PSE10. And you can see if you like the new PSE12 new User Interface.

Cannot burn DVD from Premiere Elements 4

I have Premiere Elements 4. I am trying to burn a DVD of a slideshow I created in Photoshop Elements 6. I have burned many copies of this DVD in the past month successfully, in PE4. Now today all of a sudden it won't burn them any more. When I click on "Share" and "DVD", a message says the program has encountered a problem and needs to close, and the program locks up. Forget about Premiere Elements 6 and use Premiere Elements 4, we still do on a new 64 bit Quad Core i7 Work Station Windows Professional and it runs better than ever. We have been doing HD 1920 x 1080 slide shows for 3 years, no problems burn to Blu -Ray or Export to Pro Tape.
I did have a problem with a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz and hyperthreading , but, discovered I had 1,440 temp files slowing the system down. Try %temp% in Search and delete files if you have any ?

I HAVE ADOBE PREMIERE ELEMENTS 10. I used to have many options on the "Disc Menu" to set up my DVD.. and now it is very limited..almost no templates. I try to sign in to my account through Premiere and it will never sign on. Anyone have any thoughts??

With versions earlier than 11, there is no more Sign In. If you get any message to that effect, ignore and cancel out of them. You should be able to move forward to your import, editing, and exports using the program nonetheless.
As for the disc menus, those marked photoshop.com plus members only are no longer available to you in versions of Premiere Elements earlier than 11. You may see the thumbnails for those members only items, but they are no longer available to you in Premiere Elements earlier than 10.
Interestingly, many of them are found in Premiere Elements 11, 12, and 13 as part of the program with no need to purchase them or have any special membership in anything. Adobe has promoted Adobe Revel as a replacement for photoshop.com, but that has no impact on this disc menus issue.
This all has to do with Adobe discontinuing photoshop.com and photoshop.com plus et al.

Trouble sigining into Premiere elements 10

Trying to do an INstant Movie. As I select my preferred template, it wants me to sign in. I put in my login credentials and it just hangs. If I try sign in at the beginning of the project, it says photoshop.com is not available - to try later (last whole week). When I go to adobe.com, my login credentials work fine! Just cannot sign in from Premiere ELEments

To update you on "the not being able to use your Adobe ID or Password to sign into an Elements program", none of us can, and there has been no explanation from Adobe why not (that I have seen). It is assumed that this has to do with some Adobe behind the scenes maneveurs to adjust changes in its offerings, photoshop.com, Adobe Revel, or otherwise.
You should still be able to import, edit, and export with the program. However, if you are after photoshop.com plus items, then they are not available in versions earlier than 11. In version 11, many of these photoshop.com plus items now come with the program as part of the program (no membership required - free). And, until very recently, even with photoshop.com plus gone, the earlier versions would let the user use the photoshop.com plus items (that is what I found first hand). As of today, no more with regard to that.
Bottom line: Is your preferred template one of these photoshop.com plus items? Were you ever a photoshop.com plus member?

Premiere Elements 10 - HD Graphics Driver Update - Error Message

I recently got an error message advising me to update my intel HD graphics driver; I updated 5 months ago - all worked well; now I'm getting the message again, however windows says my drivers are up to date and cannot be updated - but Premiere Elements keeps asking for an updated driver; now, the edit sytem performance is horrible and I get a white screen everytime I attempt to playback video from the edit timeline. Any Solutions?

Thanks for the reply. The deletion of the BadDrivers.txt file is your best opportunity for a resolution. So, let us pursue that.
If you have Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 64 bit, the BadDrivers.txt file is there. But....in your attachments, you show
Program Files
Program Files (x86)
and no signs of Program Data where you must start in the path to the BadDrivers.txt file.
a. Could you be using Windows 7 32 bit?
or
b. Are you working with Folder Options Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
In Windows 7 64 bit,
Click on Start
In the Search field that appears above Start, type in Folder Options.
Folder Options text will appear at the top of that left column for you to click on.
Clicking on Folder Options will bring up its dialog.
Click on the View Tab of the Folder Options dialog.
Then scroll down the list of options under View until you reach Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives,
and make sure that it is selected.
Program Data should appear in the lineup which includes Program Files and Program Files (x86).
Please let us know the outcome.

It is very cumbersome to "re browse" for audio files/pics/movie clips to add to menu screens. Certainly there is a way to view the media and menu screen at the same time so I can drag and drop?

I think I know exactly what you are seeking and believe it cannot be done in Premiere Elements 11, 12, and 13 as it can be done in versions earlier than 11 where the Disc Layout and Project Media are viewed side by side.
Premiere Elements 13 uses a Movie Menu customization workspace which is not allowing viewing of Project Assets in the Expert workspace at the same time.

Premiere Elements 12 Windows project to Mac

I started my project on Windows 7 with Premiere Elements 12. Now I want to work with the project on Mac with Premiere Elements 12 (the same version). Unfortunately I got the error "The project is not compatible with current version of Premiere Elements". I used Project Archiver which created a new folder with all files on an external disc. Mac opened it and Premiere started to load it but then threw the error.
Would it be possible to open a project done on Windows with Mac? I really need this because I've done quite a lot work with the project but my Windows license is over and converted to Mac.

The project file (project.prel) created in Premiere Elements Windows cannot be opened in Premiere Elements Mac. The reverse is also true.
One possibility might be to export your Premiere Elements Windows Timeline to the appropriate .mov or .mp4 and then import that file
into Premiere Elements Mac new project. But, from what you wrote about your present circumstances, this does not seem to be possible.
This is the situation with Premiere Elements (any version).
Be aware that there are several Windows Only features in Premiere Elements.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 & Premiere Elements 12 for windows. I want to transfer the programs to my new HP 15 Touch Screen computer. Then I wan to remove the program from my old HP computer. How can I do this?

Just install them on the new computer. You can sign out of Premiere Elements/Photo Elements on your old computer -- but signing in on your new computer activates the programs.
You can be activated on two computers on a single license for these programs.
