  • Cannot sign in to use ExportPDF from Adobe Reader

I've seen this error reported a number of times. I get a network error when trying to sign in to convert a pdf file into Word in Adobe Reader. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader XI (11.0.08).
Can someone please look into this? I do not want to go through the Adobe web site to do this. I used to be able to do it right from the file on my computer.
    Thank you.

    Hi Brigitte,
Please try logging out and logging back in from Reader. It's odd that simply upgrading/renewing your subscription would affect your ability to sign in. But, you certainly have the right version of Reader (there was another update just today, so you may want to install that first).
Please let me know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Having trouble using ExportPDF through Adobe Reader.

I cant export my PDF to word through the Adobe Reader.
Only can export it through the website online.
    Thank you!

    Hi Jane,
Unfortunately our forums don't accept attachments.  That said, it sounds like you're getting an error even before you initiate the conversion process.  From within Adobe Reader, could you try opening Adobe Reader XI and choosing Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Reader > Preferences (Mac), then select 'Adobe Online Services' from the left-hand side.  Click 'Sign Out...', then sign back in with your Adobe ID and password.
Please let us know how it goes!
    Thanks,
    David

As has been mentioned Adobe Reader cannot export PDF page content. Nor can it create PDF or manipulate PDF page content.
What you can do is use one of Adobe's online subscription services. Two provide for PDF  to Word export.
    There's ExportPDF and PDF Pack.
    Be well...

I just signed up for a subscription to adobe reader paying EUR 24.40.
The program does not work, and I can not even go to my personal page .... help ...?

Adobe Reader is free; it does not require a subscription.
Did you subscribe to an online service like ExportPDF, PDF Pack, ...?
What exactly does "not work" mean?

  • How can I find the location of the signature used in the Adobe Reader signature feature?

How can I find the location of the signature used in the Adobe Reader signature feature? I've been using the signature feature for a while now and it works great and I'd like to use it on another computer. However, I forgot where I stored the signature. Adobe finds it with no problems (the signature pops up when I click "Place Signature"), but I have no idea where it is.

    Hello,
    It's here - C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Security\

: I have recently purchased a iBook G4 Mac OS X VERSION 10.5.6 and I  cannot install any apps such as firefox, adobe reader, it reads you cannot install this file on this disk

Are you saying the iBook G4 you have is running OS X 10.5.6?
The next file to get for it would be the Combo update 10.5.8 for Leopard.
And any old archived Flash player for 10.5.8 from Adobe flash site.
A browser such as TenFourFox, iCab, SeaMonkey-PPC, these are OK
but you won't be able to go past Leopard 10.5(.8) in a PowerPC Mac.
All these are free bits, however anything past 10.5.8 Mac OS X
would require a newer Mac with Intel-based architecture. Macs
made in 2006+ can see later OS X versions.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Why can't I use the free Adobe reader?

I just submitted a question and all this pops up.  I couldn't afford the full subscription.  But when the trial period ended, it won't let me open pdf documents. So I downloaded the free adobe reader.  It still doesn't let me open pdf files.  I have become less and less impressed with Adobe.  It has be a real pain to work with.  I'm glad I CAN'T afford it because I think it would be very aggravating to work with just from my experience with the trial subscription.  Is there a way for me to use the free adobe reader?

What is your operating system?  What is your Reader version?  What exactly means "doesn't let me"?
You had a trial of what - Acrobat?  Did you uninstall it after the trial ended?

  • Cannot sign in facetime using iPad2

    hello,
I've just got 2 iPad2 few days ago for myself and sister (32GB+3G for me, 32GB+wifi for her). The problem is, my sister's iPad2 can work well with facetime, but mine can't even sign in.
    it always show "connection error......."
I don't really know the problem, she sits right next to me and work well with facetime but I still cant even sign in.
note that we are under same wifi network and use different apple ID
PS. and I also can sign in facetime using my apple ID with my sister's iPad2 too. And i still not apply sim card to my iPad.
hope to see your reply soon.
    cheers,

    My time setting is fine.
I have also tried verifying a different email address against my apple ID, but have the same result (network error) when connecting to FaceTime using that email. I have also tried creating a new apple ID within FaceTime. The account gets created but you still cannot sign in.
I can't explain how this can be the case. The only thing left is some kind of network error when attempting to sign-in. However, I cannot see any problem with my router. There are no weird routing tables and I am using Goggle DNS. All my other web based services are operating normally (Skype, chat etc)

  • Cannot print .pdf attachments in Outlook 2010 on local usb printer using the lastest Adobe Reader

We can't print pdf attachments from Outlook 2010 on a users local printer via usb with the latest Adobe Reader but it can print to a network copier. We can print from the local printer emails, webpages, regular pdf's on the hard drive.
    Please advise and thanks.

What is the behavior that you are seeing? Are you getting some error or is it simply failing to print with Reader 10.1.2.

When doing a quick print with a right click on the pdf attachment, it will print.
Also, please let me know that if a simple Right Click > Print operation is working, then what exactly is the operation that is failing.

  • How to print pdf file not using the the adobe reader ?

    hello,
i used the adobe sdk to open a pdf file in read and modify it serveral times and each time save it to another directory, and now i need to write a program to print the pdf file in this directory.when print the file,i want to continue my work also,so who i tell me how to solve this problem?
    thanks.

The SDK is only a collection of documentation and headers that show you how to interact with and automate Adobe Acrobat and to some extent Adobe Reader. You need a copy of Acrobat or Reader installed on the system in order to use any of the SDK functions. You cannot "print not using the Adobe Reader", unless you have Adobe Acrobat installed on the system instead of Reader.

  • Using Echosign or Adobe Reader to get signatures

Hello. I would like some feedback on which way to get a document signed in multiple places by multiple parties. I have a secure document that is approximetly 16 pages long that requires signatures by three or more parties. I created an account with EchoSign, because I've read that it's a secure way to transport the document back and forth between the parties who need to sign. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience using either one of these methods and if you have any advice on which method I should go with. I should add that I've created the document in Adobe Acrobat Pro and I plan to add the electronic document to our web site for the purposes of employee onboarding.
    Thank you in advance.
    Amanda

The first question is not where the form should be hosted, but what you mean by "digitally signed".
A self-signed ID created in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader is meaningless in terms of proving identity, as anyone can make up any ID - it doesn't even have to have a valid email address. There's no traceability so the signature is not legally admissible, so it's no better than getting them to tick a box or click an 'OK' button.
Verifiable and legally-approved digital IDs are available from commercial vendors, but they cost a fair amount of money and require the application to submit identity documents. Very few people will have one, and nobody will buy one for the fun of it.
EchoSign has no real way to tell who is signing the form, other than the fact the link went to a known email address - the digital certificate on the returned file is actually Adobe's own ID, and it simply proves that someone followed a particular link and drew in their signature on a stated date and time. Because the identity of that person is only traced through their email address, EchoSign will never give you a generic URL to link to the form - in fact you never get to see the encrypted URL sent to your recipients either. You have to enter the email address of each recipient by hand on the EchoSign website, the form can't be hosted on your own server.

  • Having problems using forms in Adobe Reader on Surface RT

I'm trying to use fillable forms on Adobe Acrobat on a PC that can be accessed via a Surface RT at work. But when I access the forms with the Adobe Reader app and attempt to fill out and email the forms, the parts that are filled out come out blank. Is this an issue with Adobe Reader? The email button I set up on the PC end via Acrobat works, so I can email it through Reader, but all the forms are blank. That doesn't make sense. There also is no way to use the sign function. Why is that?

Good luck with that. It's 2014 I can't open a fillable form that I need to submit for an annual report. I'm assuming I'll have to wait until I an use my laptop in a few days. Pretty shameful really.
