Cannot split track, right side of track disappears to a pill form

Hi there,
When I drag and drop a file in for editing I have no issues. When I split the track to edit the second half of the track after the split is just a little bubble. It will still play, but I can't see wave forms, I can't edit, and I can't do any more splits. I cannot drag it out with the arrow on the cursor, and adjusting the bar on the left side of the screen to expand the view doesn't work either.

Are you saying after you do the split that the second half of the region is reduced in size?

Selected list in the right side of the shuttle gets clear after form submit

Hi all,
In my application, I have a list of email in the shuttle. User can choose the email from that list of email from the shuttle and/or they can also add additional email address separately. So, in my page, I have a shuttle which has pre-populated email list, and I have a text box and a multi-select list (where they can select multiple email address they entered and hit delete to delete them). The problem that I am seeing is, after selecting the email list from the shuttle, and if they entered additional email address and hit "Add" button (which is a submit button to add email address to the multi-select list), only one email address in the selected side of the shuttle remained. rest of them moved back to the left side. I am not sure how to accomplish not to behave that way. Can someone please guide me how to resolve this issue? Much appreciated. Thanks.

Just found out that there is some error in the page branch, which makes the shuttle to clear off. Now the problem solved. Thanks.

"Quick" tab items disappeared on right side - blank?

The "Quick" tab items (drop down menu) on right side of screen disappeared. Just blank now. Cannot retrieve.
It all began when I hit "Texture" at bottom right of screen. Hit button a second time and texture panel went away but the quick items did not return in the same place.

Have you tried Help -> Reset Panels?

Bridge Panel View Lost in CS6-Right Side

Somehow I have lost the ability to size the right side of my Bridge panel. It is too large and I cannot bring the right side border into view to see my Metadata and Preview Panels.
Also the numbering of the thumbnails is lost "off the screen".

The close button and right side scroll bar are gone, if I minimize the screen I can see them.

Looking at my screen, the firefox home page & all other websites I bring up, my right side of the screen (where the close X button is and scroll bar is lost behind that side of the screen.
Looking at my screen, I cannot see the right side of my screen where the X(close button), search button, scroll bar should be.
When I minimize the screen to a smaller version, I can see the whole page screen, X button, scroll, everything on the right side?

SMART Form, Right Side not getting Printed, "Print Preivew Fine"

We are facing an issue while Printing a Smart Form,
Printer Device Type : HPLJ8000
Document Type : Customized Smart Form
Print Prieview : Fine
Print Format : DINA4
Initially the Printout was fine, however the Left side of the Form is not having enough margin, as a reason the ABAPer have moved 3 mm to the right , now we have problem on the Right side, however the ABAPer says its not form issue as the print preview is fine, I am looking out to know the Possible changes I can do from Basis End,
We have tried changing the SAP scipt and additoinal Print parameters for this print changed " Horiziontal and Vertical Shift " and we restarted the printer ever we change , and this dont make the Form Better,

Right side of track pad not working, only left side is working

the right side of the track pad on my MacBook Pro is not working, only the left side.

If this computer has a removable battery, take it out and see if the battery is swelling. If that is the case, try running the computer without the battery on just the charger, to check if the swelling is the cause.
If the computer does not have a removable battey, the best you can do is examine the underside for signs of a swelling battery.

Split track error

I had a weird one the other day. I had imported an mp3 into GB of a radio program I had been a guest of, which was about 45 minutes long. When I started editing it, I used split track at the first edit mark, but as soon as I did that, the portion of the track after the playhead disappeared. Normally I can select which side of the track I want to delete, but this was automatically deleting everything after the playhead.
Any ideas?

Hi Paul,
First, you should save every five minutes or so. Good habit to be in. The reason is when things like this happen and undo doesn't fix the problem, you can close the song and it will ask if you want to save the changes. You need to select no. Then when you re-open the song, the file will be intact (unless the song file is corrupt).
For your issue, Iw ould do a search for ".plist," find the one realted to Garageband and trash it. Do another search for ".cs," find the one related to garageband, and trash it. (Garageband will create new versions on it's next start up.) Restart your computer and try GB again.

Split track movies

Howdy,
already posted this over at LogicPro Help, apologies if I'm boring anyone.
I work in tv composing, and frequently get sent split track movies (temp music on one side, everything else on the other).
My current monitors (old Genelec 1029s) have a handy power stitch on the front, so I can switch off the temp side, and listen to my cue (in mono) in situ. But my new monitors (KH120s) have the power switch at the back.
So I was wondering, how do people deal with their split track qts? I know I can extract audio, but that seems too time consuming, as I start a new project for every cue, and its a nightmare lining up the audio every time. And I don't want the movie audio coming through the main outs.
Am I missing something really easy?
I guess I could pull a cable out of the duet each time, but that doesn't seem very elegant...

To mute the speaker in OSX, use the Audio Midi Setup app. There you can mute the left or right channel separately.
However, I wonder why you are not extracting the audio from the video. This is basic scoring workflow.
You do it only once when you start a show and each new cue is just a "save as" copy of the previous cue (project) so the video/audio track is already in place.
Once in Logic, You click-hold on the output icon (the double circle) and you can just select the left or right channel. I usually create two audio tracks with same copy of the split track audio file and have one selected to play only the left channel (dialog) and the other one to play the right channel (temp). Now they are technically two independent mono track (that you can pan left to right)
This gives you complete mixing controls (if you have an external controller) for this tracks: solo, mute, eq, etc. Sometimes the production track has problems that you can fix (with automation) so it doesn't bother you when scoring with the dialog.
Screener. Don't you have to make screeners, little quicktime files of you cues to send to the director/producer for approval? Having the dialog on a track in your project, you can quickly make a decent mix, even for your own show reel.
Routing. Usually I have the dialog and temp tracks routed directly to a different channel on my audio interface, so it doesn't go through my master bus. This way they don't show up on the bounce and don't mess up my meters that I monitor constantly. Just for the export video procedure, I route them to the master bus.

Split track audio glitch

Hello all,
Just switched from FCP7 to PP 2014. A lot of my video work deals with split track delivery and post. In FCP 7 I would bring in a Pro Res file and have the left track on audio track 1 and right track on audio track 2.
In Premiere 2014, I learned how to replicate this. The problem is that when I pan track 1 all the way to the left I get major distortion on my second track. When I pan the second track (right Channel) to the right the distortion continues. We have two edit suites and I was able to replicate this on both systems.
I thought it was a Pro Res issue, but turns out that I was able to replicate this using PP's own color bar generator. I also experimented with other sequence settings like 29.97 vs. 59.94.
Here's how to do it:
1. In PP go File>New>Bars and Tone. Hit Ok to create this file.
2. In the Project bin, right click on the Bars and Tone and select Modify>Audio Channels...
3. Set number of audio tracks to "2" and Channel format to "Mono".
4. drop into a timeline and pan track one to the left. You should hear distortion on the right or 2nd audio track. Pan the 2nd track to the right and its the same.
The odd thing is that if I pan everything to 99% either way, all is good on both tracks.
I called Adobe and was told that they would look into this as they could not replicate this. I was told I would get a call back in 15 min. 3 hours later I am here sending this out to the community.
This is something that needs to be fixed if I am to use PP at all. Anyone else able to replicate? I am open to any ideas as I have gone through all the settings that I know of. Also, I tried turning off OpenCL with the same results.
Additional issue I found is audio level jumping up when another track comes in. I have a stereo track of music play on track 1. A little into the song I place another audio mono track on audio track 2. I pan the Stereo track to the left and Mono track to the right. When I hit play, the music is at say -12db. Once the playhead hits the mono track, the stereo track jumps up in level even though the mono track is panned to that side.

i'm experiencing the same issue since today.
very loud (nearly ear damaging) glitches on crossfades on audio channel. doesn't matter if mp3, aif, or wav.
plus one channel of stereo sometimes randomly gets louder on transitions for a short time.
is still there in export. no matter if directly from premiere or via media encoder. (export as prores 422 with uncompressed audio). disabled native ppro import in AME, didn't help
cleared all media caches and preview files, didn't help.
not using preview files for export.
read alot about this bug being in older version here on the forums, but it is still there in CC 2014 v8.0.1
i am on osx 10.8.5.
please help Adobe.

Playing split track as mono

I am a choir director and I use my ipod daily for classroom use. I have a lot of performance CD's that are split track (voices on one side, instruments on the other). Is there any way to change the settings on my ipod to play just one side of the split track? I am only using a single speaker, so unplugging one speaker, will not solve my problem. I have looked under the EQ settings and could not find a balance anywhere.

Split Tracks While Recording w/MediaSource Play

I'm converting some cassettes using MediaSource Player. Can I split tracks while recording, i.e. record the whole cassette and then split that into individual tracks? I've done that with Microsoft Plus!, but can't seem to find that functionality with MediaSource. Also--if I want the absolute best quality recording of the cassettes, am I right in thinking I'd select WAV stereo, w/96.00 kHZ and 24 bits? The cassettes are li've recordings that I'd like to?have professionally mixed in a studio and then released as CD's, so I need the optimal "starting point" as far as the digital files are concerned. Thanks for any advice.

Yes, recording at 24/96 wave is the best that you can go with.
If you have one of the Creative sound cards, check whether you have the Creative Smart Recorder application. It has a split track function.

Co-author cannot access track change and add/delete scenes

My co-author cannot access track change or add/delete scenes. Is it a bug or is there a setting that I did not set correctly. I shared the document as co-author several times with the same results. Any help would be appreciated Thank you Brice

Unfortunately, currently only owner of the document has the right to turn on/off track changes or accept/reject changes. Co-author can still view the document as Original or Final from Review menu or even navigate through the changes using Next Change/Previous Change. Extending the track changes rights to co-author as well is being considered on our backlog of items to do.
Meanwhile, the co-author should still be able to go ahead and edit existing text, add new text, delete existing text and it should be getting tracked.

Tracks Disappearing

I know, I know, I should check past topics for an answer but its midnight and I have a bad headache - I'm not in the mood
Anyway, I doubt its just my iTouch, but whenever I've bought songs on it in the past year, they just...disappear from it after a few days. I know, you ought to transfer tracks over to your laptop... thats fair. But, why should it be a necessity? I have a mains adapter for my iTouch, therefore it doesn't connect to my laptop that often at all.
I think it's poor, that tracks disappear if they're not transferred. It's incredibly unfair, and a waste of my money. This has happened with almost every track I've purchased on my iTouch. I don't think it's right that they just disappear off the iTouch altogether, if not transferred. I never read anything that said I ought to transfer it onto my computer before x amount of time had gone by.
OR, is this just my iTouch? I got a £15 gift voucher from my parents for iTunes, and I'd like to be able to buy tracks over it easily rather than booting my laptop in order to do so.
It'd be great, if you could re-download any purchase you've made, if for instance, you accidentally delete the track. Or if you switch computers and the guy down the repair store has sold the parts of your old one and you can't grab the files :P
So, is there any reason for this, and is there anything I can do to stop it?
