Cannot start Lync Server Control Panel

Hello All,
my lab is as follow:
1 virtual machine W2K8 x86 acting as domani controller
1 virtual machine W2K8 X64 acting as Front End and SQL server (co-located)
Installation runs smoothly I get to the end no red marks no problem.
It's an Enterprise pool with all the relevant A host created for admin sip meet dialin (poolname and hostname of the collocated machine)
_tlsinternal created. The user I tried to gain access to Lync Control Panel with is a member of all CS* security group and RTC*security group.
https://FQDN are in the trusted site of IE and I'm not using proxy in my IE.
I even enabled a couple of accounts via Power Shell and they are able to connect to the lab system (a good sign that everything is up and running)
BUT
I CANNOT ACCESS THE LYNC CONTROL PANEL
Unauthorized: Authorization failed.

Thanks in advance
PS
Same story if I try to access https://admin.FQDN

Hi,
As you stated that you have done with the permissions of CSAdministrator group than I will suggest you that kindly check the event viewer and work on error or even post the event error here because I dont think so that you should not connect with Lync after
successful installation.
For assistance check the steps for installation here please.

    Hi,
    Have you downloaded .NET Framework Verification Tool from the following link?
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx
    Would you like to clarify whether .net framework is installed correctly on your machine or not?

  • Lync Server Control Panel : Insufficient access rights to perform the operation;

    Hi team,
    I have a strange problem in managing Lync users through control panel. But I can enable/disable and Manage users through power shell. Am getting an error " Insufficient Rights to perform the operations" when i try through control panel
    Please can someone help me urgently on tihs. I have all the users in a separate OU from where the RTC and CS groups are available. Is there any issue with the delegation?

    Hi,
    You will receive this error message when you attempt to manage Lync users who are members of protected admin groups in Active Directory (such as Enterprise Administrators etc.).
    Typically I use Lync Management Shell, so don't get this error often as it only occurs in the Control Panel.
    Editing the properties of the user object you are attempting to enable / disable in AD, and enabling inheritance on under the security tabs advanced options will also work around the problem, but you may not wish to do this. The inheritance change will revert
    itself in 15 minutes or so I believe.
    Perhaps someone can advise of an alternate solution through group membership / permissions, but as I don't have the issue often I've not looked into it at any great depth.
    Kind regards
    Ben

  • LYNC 2013 control panel error: this page cannot be displayed

    Dear sir,
    Now i am suffering with the lync 2013 control panel problem, i cannot open it and got the error "This page can't be displayed" as below screenshot shows,
    I've tried some ways, but still same problem
    1. Reflush the dns, checked the A record and SRV record of the FE are normally.
    2. checked the IIS and also cannot find any problem.
    3, reboot the FE server/IIS, and AD.
    4. i can open the console page normally via web :https://localhost/cscp
    5. i can ping the FE server domain name and return the right IP info.

    Hi TECH-Tommy,
    The certificate is under “Personal” store.
    In addition, can you open the page via
    https://admin.domain.com ?
    Also please try to clear IE cache and treat the FQDNs for admin, pool or FE server name as trusted zone.
    Best regards,
    Eric

    I can ensure that all of these connection pool has configured to run on 9093 port already. Then I view the DOMAIN_NAME/pointbase.log, it said:
    Unable to start the server. start server error: java.net.BindException: Address already in use
    I cannot understand what's run on pointbase address ?
    All of these error make me angry, because I've configured with the same way on other system and It's work. I've spent all of week to fix these bug, but I'm having nothing :((
    Please help me.

    Thank Jay SenSharma.
    I've looked for these JAVA_OPTION values you said, but I cant found them. That value is content of JAVA_DEBUG option, not JAVA_OPTION. In my situation, JAVA_DEBUG=" " (it's not set by default).
    Please re-view my error log:

  • Cannot start weblogic server anymore after conf. jena for oracle database

    Hi,
    My weblogic server 10.3.4.0 installed in oracle developer days in oralce linux guest was able to start before using the oracle user account. Following the seman. tech. dev. guide, I set up jena adapter for oracle in my guest linux system. Since the oracle user doesn't have permission to copy folders into the autodeploy directory in weblogic server, so I login as root to copy the joseki.war folder into the autodeploy directory. However, after that, I am not able to start the weblogic server console anymore using the oracle user account. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Cannot run application in JSC - Cannot start app server

    I have 4 separate JSF applications developed in JSC.
    On occasion, I have a problem starting the application server and get a popup saying to check for misassigned port names and contents of domain.xml.
    Whenever this happens, a system reboot seems to clear up the problem until now.
    Now, rebooting does not help.
    I have tried all 4 projects after rebooting and none of them will start.
    I do not know anything about the workings of the server, so I have not changed any of the server files since the time that it was working.
    I have attached the server log below.
    Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem is and how to resolve it?
    Thanks

The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop.  Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components.  |#]

    I'm having the same problem again.
    I tried using pe-start.bat -reset and it worked once, but not any more.
    Here is the result from running pe-start.bat -reset.
    If anyone has any clue as to why I cannot get the app server to start in JSC and how I can fix it, PLEASE let me know.
    I really don't want to do a reinstall.

  • Problem in Loading Lync 2010 Control Panel

    After installing Lync Group Chat Server on Lync 2010, The control Panel is not opening. As i have installed the Lync 2010 and Group Chat server on same server due to hardware limitations. In IIS Manager 7.0 i can only run one site at the moment . When in
    using MGCWebservice i have stopped Lync internal and External Web Sites and started and MGCWebservice. Now tell the solution how i can run both at the same time coz both using https and Port : 443.
    I need to run the control panel and MGCwebservice using IIS Manager 7.0 on same server machine.
    Need a solution on urgent basis.

    Collocating Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat with any server role is not supported.
    You can change the default port for Lync Server internal and external web service.
    You need to change it in Lync Topology Builder and run the step 2 with Lync Server Deployment Wizard, the port will changes automatically
    in IIS. But each time you access Simple you need to specify the port you used for Lync web service. You may also have trouble by joining a Lync meeting with Lync client.
    i recommend you deploy Lync Server Group Chat server on a seperate server. It is supported in a virtualized environment.

  • Server control panel

    i have a server application that i want to attach a Control panel
    to start and stop listening
    the problem is that when i call the beginServer() method
         public void beginServer() throws IOException {
              try {
                   serverSocket = new ServerSocket(serverPort);
              } catch (IOException e) {
                   System.out.println("Couldn't listen on port: " + serverPort + ".");
                   System.exit(-1);
              System.out.println("Server :: " + serverPort + " :: Running...");
              while (listening) {
                   new ServerThread(serverSocket.accept()).start();
              serverSocket.close();
              System.out.println("Server :: " + serverPort + " :: Stoped...");
         }is that it keeps looping on the while() part so the GUI wont
    respond which means i can't set the listening to false
    is there a way to do this

    Hi,
    You will receive this error message when you attempt to manage Lync users who are members of protected admin groups in Active Directory (such as Enterprise Administrators etc.).
    Ben

  • A205-5809 - I cannot bring up the Control Panel or do a System Restore

    Hello. I am the Chairman of our church fundraiser and I have inherited a laptop from the previous Chairman. I am not used to working on a Toshiba and really not used to working with Vista.
    When I first got the computer I downloaded Microsoft Office Home Ed 2007 and a few anti-virus programs. At some point the computer started acting up. I tried to do a System Restore to a few different System Checkpoints and had no luck. The System Restore would not complete.
    My immediate concern is the Control Panel. If I go to the Start Menu and click Control Panel, a small white appears as if the Control Panel is opening and then it immediately disappears. I can access the Control Panel by going through My Computer though.
    I mentioned both issues in this one post because I do not know if one issue is causing the other. Please give me any suggestion as to why I cannot do a System Restore or why the Control Panel will not open up from the Start Menu.
    Thanks in advance!

    In case Christopher's fix doesn't solve all your problems...
    Have you installed Service Pack 1? If not, do so.
       How to obtain the latest Windows Vista service pack
    Does this fit the situation?
    Icons are missing from Control Panel, or you cannot start Control Panel, the Welcome Center, or game...
    Restore Points get corrupted from time to time. The fix is to turn the function off and then on again. Unfortunately, all previous restore points are lost.

    I cannot open file explorer or control panel, and I have difficulty contacting ppl at microsoft because the site insist I give a product ID. My windows is pre-installed in my hard disk. sigh. can anyone help?

    Hi AsusS550C user,
    What is your current situation?
    Have you tried the suggestions provided by the others?
    In addition to the above suggestions, if we could access PC settings, we could take a PC refresh or a system restore.
    How to  refresh, reset, or restore your PC
    Further, if issue still insists, take a try with the following command:
    Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

  • Cannot Start Administration Server

    On the Netscape Console (4.1), after setting the password to expire, I
    am unable to start and stop the administration server through either the
    console or Control Panel (Windows NT). The error message is "Unable to
    read configuration parameters [PSET error: Authentication Failed|exit]."
    Has anyone encountered this error before?
    Regards,
    Craig

    It looks like the Admin password was set to expire and has expire. I suppose that you could try to bind as Directory Manager and then modify the Admin Password. If you can't do this with the Console through Admin Server, try directly using the LDAP command tools.
