Cannot start NM client and register on N97

I have N97 with up-to-date firmware. I installed NM, as per instructions on email.nokia.com through the phone browser - no problems there. When I start Email application (from Menu/Applications/Menu) it goes though email setup process which ends with successful creation of an email account in Messaging folder. Once set up is completed and Email client application is run again, it goes again to email setup and does not start nokia email client.
Within the whole process, there was no option to register to Nokia Messaging account.
I can receive and send emails, but through basic SMS-type client. How can I get NM client running?

What version of firmware is device running? Also, which country and which operator are you using? Are you able to log into your account at email.nokia.com?

    Since you are covered by warranty, I would take it to your nearest Apple store immediately. There might be a problem with the RAM. And, you have 14 days to return the machine, so if it is not an easy fix, you might want to consider returning it for another machine.

  • Zen 8G This device cannot start code 10 and firmware update problem

    I have read the threads in the forums on the same problem that I am having. It seems that there are few solutions for this and the ones that have been posted I have tried. Basically the problem is this, I made the silly mistake of trying to update the firmware on my Zen 8G since it was listed as a critical update. I downloaded the firmware but it failed and took me to the recovery screen. Instead of working with this, again silly me, I tried to use the Creative recovery tool. This downloaded the firmwary and started rebooting the player. At this point it just hung. I left it on for about 3 hours and nothing happened and it wouldn't turn off so I hit the reset button on the player. Now when I connect it to the computer it recognizes it as a creative zen but if I try to download the firmware the software says the player is not connected when it is. When I check the device driver, even though it shows it as a creative zen it says "This device cannot start code 0"? I have the latest Microsoft device driver loaded and it still doesn't work.
    I have tried this on two different computers, one using XP and the other using Vista. I get the same problem with each. It appears to me that the problem is not really with the device driver but somehow with the firmware. However, I am not an expert at this stuff.
    If anyone could please help I would appreciate it. This was a gift for my wife for the Christmas of 2007 so it is just out of warranty and the service people won't help.

    Welcome to Creative forums!
    Try booting the player in the recovery mode.
    . While the ZEN is off, press and hold down the play/pause button.
    2. While holding down the play/push button, push the reset button slowly using a paper clip/pin. You should feel the "click" sound when press it.
    3. Slide the On/Off switch towards the power button and hold it down until the recovery boot screen appears.
    Choose Clean Up then Reboot. If problem still persists, you may need to format the ZEN but take note that formatting will delete the contents of the device. To format the ZEN, boot the ZEN in the recovery mode again and choose Format this time.

    I recently installed Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Management, Fusion Edition.
    Ive created a new application and repository using the management console succesfully, however when I try to run the Web Client, I get:

    It sounds like you are trying to access the file as if your JNLP application were running on the server. The JNLP app is running on the client machine, so you will need to use a URL to open the file. Take a look at the JavaDocs for the following:
         java.net.URL
         java.net.URI
         java.net.File
    You also need to be sure your server is configured to serve the file. For example, you ought to be able to access the file through your browser using something like http://www.myco.com/myapp/myfile.txt. (How you configure your server is a topic for a different forum.)
    You probably also want to look into JavaWS security, and even Java security in general to determine if you need to sign your app or not. Here are some links to get you started:

    3. Rename or remove the following files :
    $OWB92_CLIENT_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/ext/US_export_policy.jar
    $OWB92_CLIENT_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/ext/jce1_2_1.jar
    $OWB92_CLIENT_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/ext/local_policy.jar
    $OWB92_CLIENT_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/ext/sunjce_provider.jar
    4. Copy the following files from the JCE 1.2.2 package to the directory OWB92_CLIENT_HOME/jdk/jre/lib/ext/ :
    jce1.2.2/lib/US_export_policy.jar
    jce1.2.2/lib/jce1_2_2.jar
    jce1.2.2/lib/local_policy.jar
    jce1.2.2/lib/sunjce_provider.jar

  • Cannot start Oracle, Listener and EnterpriseManager

    I am using Oracle 11g an I can't start them after I have installed updates for Windows Server 2003 64bit. Whenever I had rebooted my machiene the database had worked every time after startup. But this time it doesn't start.
    When trying to start services OracleService[SID], OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener, OracleDBConsole[SID] and Oracle [SID] VSS Writer Service I get the error code 1053. I don't understand what happened.
    I have done some research. I trace the startup of the services with Process Monitor. Starting the service
    1. OracleService[SID] oracle.exe wants to access a file called oraclient11.dll within d:\oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\bin. But there is no such file within the Oracle Base Directory.
    2. OracleOraDb11g_home1TNSListener tnslsnr.exe wants to acces a file called oran11.dll within d:\oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\bin. But there is no such file within the Oracle Base Directory.
    3. OracleDBConsole[SID] nmesrvc.exe wants to access a file called orauts.dll within d:\oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\bin. But this file is the directories db_1\bin\ctxhx, db_1\oui\bin and db_1\oui\lib\win64.
    4. Oracle [SID] VSS Writer Service oravssw.exe wants to acces a file called oci.dll within d:\oracle\product\11.1.0\db_1\bin. But there is no such file within the Oracle Base Directory.
    What went wrong? What can I do witohut re-installing the database in order to get working it?

    Hi Hub!
    There is no oraclient11.dll file in the d:\oracle directory and its subdirectories and also not in the system32 directoy. So I cannot rename it. The same is right for the other files mentioned in my first post.
    I can't acces metalink. metalink.oracle.com forwards me to https://metalink.oracle.com/csp/ui/index.html which is not available (404) at this time.
    For the ADR log files I'm not sure if I found the right files. I have extract the part of the files which are written after the reboot.

  • Cannot start Domain Controller and node

    I installed Oracle db v9.2.0.1, oracle 9ias j2ee and web cache Release 2 (v9.0.3) and CMSDK v9.0.3 for windows on single machine.
    Installation was fine.
    However, when I try to start ifs domain controller, I got following error in ifsctl.log file.

    "Error from external process: 6" means there is no such user account on your windows machine. Make sure the user name and password you specified are valid. And you need to grant the "log on as a batch job" user right to the user account, otherwise you'll see error 7 (authentication error).
    Please consult with CMSDK Admin Guide for details.

  • I cannot start my ipadmini and it seems not charging?

    I bought ipadmini two months ago and suddenly it shuts down and after pressing the button it doesn't start up, and it seems it is not charging. I don't know what to do, I think i still holds my warranty?

    If it's not charging,
    1) it could be the cable (try using a different one),
    2) it could be the adapter plug (if you are using it to charge from the wall), try a different adapter,
    3) it could be the USB source (if charging from a computer's USB plug), in which case the computer may not be putting out enought power (PCs tend to do this, macs do not).
    Since it's not charging, it could be that the device is out of power, hence you can't turn it on.
    But try this.  press and hold the power and home buttons and wait (keep pressing) until the Apple icon appears.  This can take a while.

  • Cannot start dispacher, tcp_smtp_server, and job_controller

    IInstallation and configuration of JSMS 6.1 was done as a component of JES. First start right after the installation using �start-msg� was quite successful. But after the change of "service.http.port" to 2080 with "configutil" command any attempt to start-msg are failed with the "dispatcher" timeout and "job_controller" failed.
    The log files (dispatcher.log, tcp_smtp_server.log, and job_controller.log) are of "0" length in spite of increasing verbosity with "DEBUG=-1 and/or DEBUG=5" in �dispatcher.cnf� and �job_controller.cnf�. The tracing shows the last error as ENOTTY (25), but the output has few preceding errors in system calls where I would never expect it. I also activated "local.autorestart=yes" which produced two "defunct" processes forked by the �watcher� from "msstart -r " program and which I need manually remove.
    And I don't have the patch 116568-60.
    Now, I think you know almost everything (quite messy). Please, help me. I need it ASAP.

    I think the host name is no problem because the Integration Builder page can be started with URL "http://iwdfvm2160:51000/rep/start/index.jsp" and also prompt me the logon window.  But after input the user/password, normally is PISUPER, the logon window is running for a long time, nothing happen.
    We also using user PISUPER and it's fine with another laptop.

  • Zen stone, vista and "device cannot start (Code 10) message&qu

    Today i got a Zen Stone gb mp3 for use with a local library's program, Overdri've Media which allows users to download e-books to their computer and then transfer the files to?a MP3-the Zen. The first time I used it it worked fine, no problem. Then I tried another download transfer later . When I attempted to load the Zen by plugging it into my USB port (I tried 3 different ports), the computer would not find?the device. This happened even though a screen appeared showing that a portable dri've had connected and the files could be played on WMP or other players.
    In Device Mgr., the Zen dri've has a yellow triangular sign showing an ! in it. Further exploration in Device Mgr. gives this message:

    ? Could not load Driver software.
    ? Windows was able to sucessfully install device driver software,however the dirver software encountered a problem when it tried? to run. Problem code 0.
    ?The drivers are up to date as is the firmware. I have run through the troubleshooting pages and the forum. I am using Vista 32-bit with 2 g memory. The Windows Media Player is v , which is required by the book/ library software, Overdri've Media.
    Incidentally, the Zen works fine on my wife's XP laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Try booting the player in the recovery mode.
    . While the ZEN is off, press and hold down the play/pause button.
    2. While holding down the play/push button, push the reset button slowly using a paper clip/pin. You should feel the "click" sound when press it.
    3. Slide the On/Off switch towards the power button and hold it down until the recovery boot screen appears.
    Choose Clean Up then Reboot. If problem still persists, you may need to format the ZEN but take note that formatting will delete the contents of the device. To format the ZEN, boot the ZEN in the recovery mode again and choose Format this time.

    Using Acrobat, you can create forms that are called AcroForms. The forms created in LC Designer are called XFA (XML Forms Architecture) and are more data centric. While both will open in Acrobat, they are completely different animals.
    The issue with users not being able to save the data with Reader is that the form is not Reader Enabled. You can Reader Enable a form using one of two methods:
    Reader Enable the form using Acrobat Professional (V8 or below) or Acrobat Standard (V9 or above). Note there are licensing restrictions.
    Reader Enable the form using the full server product Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES2.5. This involves additional licensing fees.
    Have a look here: http://assure.ly/etkFNU, at the features that are available depending on whether the user has Acrobat or Reader; if the form is Reader Enabled; and how the form was Reader Enabled.
    The issue of Reader Enabling would also apply to AcroForms.
    I don't think that you need to dive into LC Designer just yet, as forms created in LC Designer face the same issues about Reader Enabling as forms developed in Acrobat.
    If your usage complies with the EULA, then you could Reader Enable your form in Acrobat.

  • Cannot start an add-on

    SBOers,
    My registration used to work fine earlier. However, after a few install/uninstall of the add-on, now I cannot get my installer to start anymore.
    Here are more details:
    I have two VB.NET programs:
    MyAddOn.exe
    Installer.exe
    1. Uninstalled the existing addon and deleted all the files under SAP Manage\...\AddOns directory.
    2. Generated a new registration file.
    3. Ran SBO client and registered the program. Selected "Force Install" from the addon administration UI. Registration goes fine.
    4. Quick SBO client and ran it once again.
    I get an error message "Cannot start the addon."
    I have been playing around with various settings but no success yet. SBO client never runs my Installer.exe.
    I have also tried to start the addon from the addon manager. No success there either.
    I would appreciate it if someone can enlighten me on what could be going wrong.

    Another reason could be that the SAP client is not registered properly. I do not know why this happens, but we had it happen with four clients.
    Addons in 2004 would install on other clients allright, but not on these four.
    Here is how I got them to work (there is a SAP note out on this issue):
    stop sap client
    Open a Dos-Box
    Change to folder Program Files/SAP Manage/SAP Business One
    Execute: sapbouicom /regserver
    restart sap client again
