Cannot start or stop my database anymore after CMAN installation

Dear Experts,
I added CMAN on my server (9iR2 on W2K) this morning. Unfortunately I can't start the listener anymore. I've got 3 instances on this server and I can't start/stop any of this instance and services anymore. I did use oradim, Services control panel...
It looks like my server is suddenly is in a "bad health". It was working fine prior to CMAN installation, is there any other step I should go through after this installation ?
Any clue is greatly appreciated.

I have sent the email to the SAP Support as well.
I have checked that <sid>adm has permitted to create files in /tmp, however I have again set the permission.
Logged in as a root .
chmod 777 /var/tmp/**
chmod 770 /tmp/**
After performing these commands I am still getting the same error.
Now what next I will do?

Cannot start or stop the runtime platform

I have found that I cannot start or stop the runtime platform using the provided
start_service.sql or stop_service.sql scripts. I can run the scripts without
error, however the runtime platform does not start.
The only way I can start/stop the platform is with the run_service_local.bat
file that starts the rtp from the desktop via a java program.
My question(s) are:
1) Can anyone explain why I can't use the start and stop scripts?
2) How can I configure the rtp to stay up once it has started?
Any help is greatly appreciated....

The fix was in there were several ora init parms that were set incorrectly:
aq_tm_processes value is 0 Should be >= 1
job_queue_processes value is 0 Should be >= 10
enqueue_resources value is 2392 Should be = 3000
java_pool_size value should be >= 20MB

Cannot start application deployed using Weblogic console after stop

Hello all,
I have deployed an ear file using Weblogic console. If the app. is running, I can press stop and get the 404 error...after that I press start, and get a 503 error. Right after the app is deployed, and started, it always comes up fine. But when the application is running, I must click stop, start, stop, start to get the app to start.
To start the app. I select, start and then "servicing all requests". To stop the app, I select stop and then "Force stop now". I have implemented a subclass of ServletContextListener to handle the start and stop. These methods do get called.
The 503 did not cause any errors to be found in the weblogic.log, stdout.log or access.log.
Does anyone have an idea how to start the app after it is stopped the first time?

there is some miss match in library reference.
Please check with your weblogic-application.xml file.

Cannot boot in Windows 8.1 anymore (after making some changes in both systems)

Problem: I cannot boot in the Windows 8.1 partition created with Bootcamp anymore. When I try to do that, the system displays the grey screen then goes into a command line mode similar with MS-DOS and asks for inserting a disk (it reports no bootable drive).
Possible causes:
- I disabled the Bootcamp process in the Notification area in the Windows 8.1 systray
- I created a new partition in OS X on which I installed an older OS X version I still need to use (Mt Lion)

VM Server stuck in "Error" state - cannot start or stop any VMs

I have Oracle VM Server 3.0.2, VM Manager 3.0.2, and have a VM server stuck in an "Error" state. I've gone into all the Event tabs for the server + guests and acknowledged all the errors, but it's still in this state.
When I try to start a VM for example, I get this error on screen (I've obfuscated the server names):

Based on your description, I recommend to check the things below:
1. Run the PowerShell command below to check the status of the Secure Store Service:
Get-SPServiceInstance |Where {$_.typename -like "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service"}
If it is not showing online, please stop the service first and then start it to see if the issue still occurs (the
<ServiceGUID> can be obtained obtained from the command above).
Stop the service:
Stop-SPServiceInstance -Identity <ServiceGUID>
Start the service:
Start-SPServiceInstance -Identity <ServiceGUID>
2. Check the ULS log for detailed error message.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS.

Hello i have a nokie E72, i just have it a month and suddenly the phone cannot startup. it vibrates but aftyer that i dont see anything apearing. Does anyone know what the issue is? before this happened the battery got very hot, very unusual hot. Please help solving this problem.

Leave the battery out for a while (at least 10 minutes?) to see if that helps. If not, try factory-resetting the phone. (Yes, this will delete any data you haven't previously backed-up.) Hold down the caps lock, space, and backspace keys while again powering-on the phone. Keep the keys held down until you notice something happening.
If those don't fix the problem, then you likely have a dud phone. (It happens. ) Get it replaced right away.

10.6.8 Server: Spotlight stops working for clients after fresh installation and updates

Problem:
On 2013-02-22, I reinstalled my Xserve with fresh 10.6.3 and upgraded it to 10.6.8 OS X Server. Spotlight used to be working perfectly for clients to search over the network but now it is not working. Administrators doing local spotlight search on Xserve server side is searchable. Clients with less privileges searching files across the network to the server will receive null result. Administrators searching files across the network is still working.
I believe it has something to do with the update packages and some security improvement bugs introduced in late 2012 or early 2013.
All my clients Macs are in either 10.7.5 and 10.8.2.
Can anyone confirm this? All my staff members in the company cannot do the spotlight search to the server now!

the problem can be solved if you allow the permssion of parental folder of your share points to have at least Read Only permission for User and Group:
permission: 644
User: Read&Write
Group: Read Only
Others: Read Only (or No Access)
In my case, it is strange that PCs can still do the search to the Snow Leopard Server by SMB protocol while Mac using AFP cannot even when the parental folder had permission 600. This could be a secure issue in Snow Leopard's SMB1.0 protocol. Note that SMB in Snow Leopard is SMB1.0, which is less secure and hence deprecated after Snow Leopard. From Lion onwards, all OS X uses SMB2.0 and/or SMB X.
Oh, yes, there is one more thing:
you may find your scanner using SMB protocol stopped functioning properly if you use (Mountain) Lion client and (Mountain) Lion server. It boils down to Apple's silent change of SMB protocol from SMB1.0 to SMB2.0. Solution? Use FTP protocol for now. Don't blame Apple too much because Apple had to follow the rules of GPLv3. The SMB issue will go on as Microsoft introduces its own SMB 3.0 protocol in Windows 8 while Apple introduces its SMB verison dubbed SMB X.

Preview app doesn't open anymore after Maverick installation

Since Maverick installation, I can't open my pictures in Preview. The Preview application doesn't open anymore. Neither does the App Store, nor the 'software update'
Any idea what to do?

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library", then go to Containers folder and com.apple.Preview and delete container plist. Now relaunch Preview and test.
EDIT: Oops, 10.7... it may be in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Preview.plist. I'm not running 10.7 right now.

Starting obiee weblogic services in linux after simple installation

I have installed OBIEE 11g on linux machine with "simple installation" option, i have following questions:
with simple installation, will weblogic server will get installed?
because i am not able to open the weblogic EM page, now do i have to manually start the weblogic services in linux, if so. Can anyone illustrate the steps.

Cannot Start SI4 After New License

I have a test drive version of NW 4 running on Suse 9.2 Linux and db2. It ran fine for 3 months. Yesterday I installed a new license because the old one expired. I installed it as root while the db was running.
This morning, I cannot start sap, because the database won't start.

Yes, startsap is the base script, which calls other scripts, R3trans and db2start.
I didn't have any luck. I did find an indication on an IBM website that the error message related to the fact that the db2 license had expired. There is a command called "db2licm" which you can run to update the db2 license, but I couldn't find a license file.
I wonder if IBM imposes it's own license expiration separate from SAP's, and that IBM require a re-install. So, I gave up and just re-installed it. Oh well, re-installing is good practice.
