Cannot start Outlook 2007, a program error occurred. Tried lots of things....

I'm getting an error message of: "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. A program error occurred. Quite Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again. A program error occurred. Quite Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again." when
I try to start Outlook 2007 running on windows 8.1.  (standalone with pst file, not exchange)
I have tried:
Restarting computer (hard boot)
Running in safe mode: Outlook /safe
Resetting the nav panel: Outlook /resetnavpane
Running scanpst on the pst files.
Outlook /cleanprofile
Creating a new profile
Checking if windows search is running (it was) and restarting it.
All with the same error message.
I'm stumped. Any ideas how to get Outlook to open? Was there some sort of windows update that ran last night and messed up Outlook? It worked at end of day yesterday.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the update, seems the problem has been resolved, right? If this issue comes back or you need further assistance on it, please feel free to contact us.

I am gettign strange errors, to which I can find no explination, solutions or even a mention of. Upon syncing my iPod nano with iTunes 7.0.2 I get an error "The iPod (bla bla bla) cannot be updated. An unknown error occured (-208)"
There is an Apple error code for -208:

It then syncs the music correctly, but not the photos or the contacts. When setting the contacts to be updated, iTunes says "No Contacts available. Open Address Book and create contacts?" Address Book is full of cantact and has been for years.

  • How can you get your music synced from iTunes to your iPod when a window pop ups on the screen saying"The iPod "Edward's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019))?

I had 429 songs already on my iPod Touch. When I was in the process of syncing a song from my iTunes Library on to my iPod, a window popped up on the screen saying, ""The iPod "Edward's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019)). I click "Device" on my iTunes Library to make sure the song was in my iPod. It showed the song that was recently synced now listed under "Device", but when I physically looked for the song on my iPod Touch, it does not appear on there at all. It all started when I decided to put a Playlist I created in the iTunes Library and transferred it on to my iPod. Do you know why it may affected my syncing process and is there any way where I could get the syncing function back to normal so that I can continue adding songs on my iPod? Thank you for listening.    P.S. My iPod iOS version is 4.3.5.

    iTunes: Error 13019 during sync

  • I keep getting an error message that says "the ipod cannot not be synced""an unknown error occured (13019).

I keep getting an error message that says "the ipod cannot not be synced""an unknown error occured (13019). I am trying to put albums on to my ipod by dragging and dropping. I have it set to manually manage music and videos. The albums appear in the music section under Devices, but they don't appear on my actual ipod.
I have never had any problems doing this before, only in the last few days.

I am having the exact same issue as you are with my iPod nano. This started happening the same day after I updated the iPod software, so I wonder if it is a bug within the software that Apple needs to resolve. I dragged 3 playlists of new music from my iTunes over to my iPod and sometime while it was trying to add those songs, the error 13019 popped up. Another note, which may not be related at all, was that iTunes told me at some point during this process (I believe before the error notification, but I'm not sure and that may be helpful to know) that I did not have enough room on the iPod to copy all of the songs, but it would copy as many as it could. What is curious, like in your situation, is now all the songs it supposedly copied appear to be on the iPod under the Device->iPod->Music label in iTunes when it is plugged into my computer, the playlists in question are also showing up there, and it does indeed say my memory is full under the iPod's general tab in iTunes. However, when going through my actual iPod when it is not plugged in, none of those songs or playlists are anywhere to be found.
Anyways, all the established solutions to the 13019 error do not apply to this situation, as my iPod has always been set to manually managed so "unchecking" the Sync Music option under the Music tab of the iPod and rechecking it will not work because it was never checked in the first place.  And voice memos are obviously not applicable since we are not talking about an iPhone failing to sync music.
Unless anyone can provide a new solution here, I may just have to take my computer and iPod up to the genius bar. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Sharepoint 2010, InfoPath 2010 with Custom Workflow. Error Message: InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while form was submitted...

I have created an InfoPath form that submits to a Sharepoint library with custom workflow attached. The workflow is initiated when the user submits the form. An email is sent to the supervisor who clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and approved
the form via the emailed form. Then, based on certain criteria the form is either emailed to the VP or the workflow is complete. The VP is sent an email and clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and sumbits the form via the emailed form. This is
how I would like it to work. The reality is, the form submits and is emailed to the supervisor and the supervisor is able to approve but when the form is sumbitted I get an error. The error is "InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while
this form was being submitted. The form cannot be submitted to the following location: <URL> The file <URL> is checked out for editing by <me> The operation completed successfully." The operation did not complete successfully and it
is not checked out. I have read in previous posts that the file is locked. Since I am in the testing faze of the project there is no one else using the form. I have waited 24 hours and the lock has not been released. Please help!!! My deadline is growing short.

I ran into your post while having a similar issue.  I don't have a 'full' fix for you, but I noticed at least in our case if you made sure you opened the Infopath form through the browser instead of the client Infopath program (use the drop-down menu
and open in browser) the error doesn't occur.  Hope that helps some....

  • The iPad cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (1140).

Since updating my iPad to iOS 6 and updating iPhoto to 9.4, I have been receiving the error The iPad <name of my iPad> cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (1140).
The syncing seems to be centered around photos. I used to have the box checked next to "Sync Photos from iPhoto" and now the only way that I can get the iPad to finish sync without error is to uncheck that box.
Any ideas how to fix this problem or what that code is?
A couple things that I should mention:
    1) Photo Stream is Off on my iPad.
    2) If you click on the Photo app it shows that there are no photos on the iPad. Screen says No Photos or Videos - You can take photos and videos using the camera, or sync photos and videos onto your iPad usining iTunes.
    3) If I go to Settings > General > Usage > Photos & Camera it shows that I have 4.2 GB of data used by photos and camera. Clicking on it, it shows that 3.7 GB is Photo Stream and 551 MB is Photo Library.
    4) If I got to the same usage screen on my iPhone 4 running iOS 6, Photo Stream is listed as 1.5 GB.
I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of the space on the iPad, but I assume this error as something to do with iTunes thinking there is a library on the iPad that isn't there. That's just me assuming though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue.  After updating all iOS devices to iOS 6, then updating all software on my iMac to the latest versions (including iPhoto 9.4), everthing was working as it should.  I was able to sync all of my devices (New iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone4) with the iMac early this morning.
Subsequently, I opened iPhoto for the first time since installing 9.4, a window popped up informing me that my photo library had to be converted to work with the iPhoto 9.4.  I clicked okay, and let the conversion process run its course.
About ten minutes later, I attempted to once again sync my iPad with the iMac.  The sync process would run for a few seconds, then stop with a window popping up saying "The iPad cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (1140)".  I then attempted to sync the iPod and my iPhone, with the same results.
After consulting the discussion forums, it looked like lots of other users are encountering the same problem, and that it was somehow related to the new iPhoto.  Someone suggested turning off syncing photos from iPhoto, which I did.  With photo syncing turned off, the rest of the sync program now runs without a problem.
I've submitted a bug report to Apple.  Hopefully, enough other users have done the same, and Apple will fix whatever it is that's causing the problem.

  • FIX: Ipod cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-48)

    Hey everybody,
I just wanted to share with you a solution that my friend and I have used to eliminate the "iPod cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-48)" error. I have a iPod Photo 60 gig that has not had this error before....until 3 days ago. I tried to drop a few songs onto my iPod and it gave me this error. After talking with my friend, I realized that a few things had happened that I didn't think were variables at first. For one thing, I had just updated my iTunes to version 7.4.1.2. That same day, I also had a new update to Windows XP sp2. When I restarted my computer (to complete my iTunes update), both install were now active.
I tried to add new songs to my iPod and I kept getting this Cannot Sync error. The songs would get onto my iPod and I could play them from the iPod via iTunes. Once I disconnected my iPod and tried to play them, the songs were gone. iTunes was failing to save the songs on the iPod.
Resolution: I connected my iPod to a 3rd party interface (to replace iTunes) and it worked. The interface is called Yamipod and this is where you get it from:
    http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/downloads/
When I connected it to my iPod, it identified some bad file and corrected (or replaced) it with a good file. I added songs via Yamipod and they were correctly synced to my iPod. And the best part is, after I used Yamipod my iTunes was now working correctly. I told my friend at work to try this out and it worked for her too. She mentioned that she used Yamipod and then updated her version of Quicktime before everything started working.
All I have to say is that the latest release of iTunes was probably incompatible with Windos XP and some file was corrupted. Like iTunes, Yamipod probably needed this file to sync correctly...so it just overwrote the file, compared to iTunes, which just compained about being broken.
One more thing, Yamipod is a free tool that you can use to extrasct songs from your iPod to your computer. That is the main reason why I use it, but now I realise it's more stable than iTunes too!
Good luck out there, it ***** to have an iPod that you can't add songs to.

First off, have you tried these five iPod troubleshooting steps?:
    The Five Rs
If you have, then let's move onto a few general possible troubleshooting fixes, since the solution to a -48 error on a PC is somewhat unknown or various.
See if assigning your iPod a different drive letter helps, following the instructions from this article:
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive
Try reformatting your iPod to FAT32, through your computer. Then, we'll restore it in iTunes afterward. To do that, see these steps:
1 - Connect your iPod to your computer.
2 - When iTunes has finished syncing with your iPod, open "My Computer".
3 - Right-click on your iPod, and click on "Format". (If your iPod is not showing in My Computer, make sure that disk use is enabled in iTunes).
4 - Here, verify that your formatting settings are "Default", with the format type set for FAT32. Also, make sure that "Quick Scan" is not selected.
5 - Then, click on "OK" to begin the formatting process.
6 - When this is complete (it might take a while), make sure to restore your iPod in iTunes again, so as to properly reload the firmware back onto it again.
Finally, this could be caused by digital signing issues on your computer. See the "Solution 1" section of this article for help regarding that possible cause:

  • Error 244: The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.

I have LabVIEW 2010 and, during Windows start-up, this error message pops up:
"The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.
(244): Please wait till the National Instruments PSP Service is running and try starting the DataFinder again or reboot your computer."
I have had this error message pop up for the past year so it is a recurring thing. It started showing up a few months after I had installed the LabVIEW program onto my computer, so I am not sure on what caused this message to consistently pop up. I find that it also causes a delay in the starting up of my computer--my other start-up applications will begin to show only when I close the error window. Please help! Thank you.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi xcontradictorx,
It sounds like the National Instruments PSP Server Locator might not be started. Could you go to Control Panel >> Administrator Tools >> Services and locate the National Instruments PSP Server Locator? Double-click on it and make sure that the service is started. If it is, stop it and start it again (just by hitting the stop and start buttons). If it is not, start it, then go to the Recovery Tab and choose Restart the Service as the action for First, Second, and Subsequent failures.
If after change the settings for the PSP service the issue continues I would think that for some reason the PSP service is just being started late for some reason. Could you do a test real quick: disable the DataFinder in msconfig, reboot, then run the DataFinder.exe from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\DataFinderDesktop\bin. This should place the MyDataFinder app in your system tray (it looks like a yellow gear).
If this is successful, then we will need to change the order of startup services such that the DataFinder just starts after the PSP service.
    Try the following:
    1) Locate the DataFinder entry from the registry. Located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    2) Delete the DataFinder entry
    3) Add a shortcut of DataFinder.exe to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
    4) Reboot
This should do all the standard Windows Startup (like starting services, etc.) and then launch the DataFinder.
One question: do you use the DataFinder at all? Either with DIAdem or the Data Finder toolkit? If not, you could try removing it from the Startup items. Just go to Start >> Run... and type "msconfig". Choose the Startup tab, locate DataFinder, and deselect it. Click apply. This will probably get rid of the error message.
