Cannot start using my CC programs

I paid for CC student membership on November, 29. Now, if I log in on the web and go to my profile page, it shows that I have annual account and next payment will be on December, 28. So everything seems to correct. However, when I download any program, run it and use my account to log in, it only offers me to start trial or to buy a CC membership. What can I do with it?
Really disappointed, paid for membership and cannot start using programs.

Does that mean I have lost all my data?
Since you can't boot from the install disk to check the hard drive, that's impossible to say. If you have some hardware problem and the hard drive is unaffected, your data is fine, just inaccessible at the moment. Of course, if the hard drive is damaged and you have no backups, you may have lost some or all of your data.
Unfortunately, however, there is an authorized apple store (not a retial store) in my area that I have given them my MacBook before for repairs (and I was charged for it), but no Genius Bar has been listed in my nearby area. Is there any technical support avaiable by phone?
Tech support is available by phone, but I don't use it, so I'm unclear on the restrictions. IIRC, you are allowed one incident for free, but after that you have to pay for the support. The Genius Bar is always free, though, which is why I recommend it. Perhaps you should ask the folks at that repair shop if they could take a look at it and see if they can get it to boot. They'll have resources you don't, like external hard drives to boot from.

    Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
    It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
    I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:
    Aug 8 18:30:24 localhost kernel: From path: "/pci/@d/pci-ata@1/ata-4@0/disk@0:10,\mach_kernel", Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOPathMatch</key><string ID="1">IODeviceTree:/pci/@d/pci-ata@1/ata-4@0/@0:10</string></dict>

    Aug 8 18:30:41 localhost init: kernel security level changed from 0 to 1
    Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. The Ye's have it as far as I'm concerned...as long as I leave OS 9 alone, my video is fine on this computer!

  • "System extension cannot be used" when installing programs.

    Hello,
    I just transferred my files via Firewire from my Old Macbook Pro 2.5 running Leopard to my new Macbook Pro 2.8 running Snow Leopard. When I was updating system software on the new computer I started to get this system extension error. It says teh extension was improperly installed and cannot be used and must be updated or reinstalled. All of them are in /System/Library/Extensions/ Here's the extensions:
    MacPortX.kext
    MacPortXVersionChecker.kext
    PACESupport2.kext
    SMARTBoardCable.kext
    The PACE and Smartboard ones are for programs I can probably update, but how do I reinstall/update the first two? And what are they for?
    Any help would be appreciated

    I assume MacPortX is another third-party program since it isn't part of OS X. For all three of these utilities you need to uninstall them completely then reinstall them. This includes deleting the kexts
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
    Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
    Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
    Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
    Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
    Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
    If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead. Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
    Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
    There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
    Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

  • K1 Cannot find newly downloaded widget in widget list and cannot start using it.

    I have downloaded true weather from the googleplay website, but when I look in the widget list it's not there. If I go to applications, manage applications, downloaded, it is there but I cannot find it anywhere else to be able to move it on the home page and start using it. Where can I find it?
    Rebooting the tablet didn't do any good neither.

    If it's the same True Waether you are asking about, there is no widget. It's a "live wallpaper", meaning it's an animated backdround to your home screens that changes itself according to the weather in your location.
    To set TrueWeather wallpaper:
    1. Press the "+" at the top right of any home screen
    2. Tap on Wallpaper
    3. Tap on Live wallpapers
    3. Choose TrueWeather (it may take a few seconds)
    5. Set wallpaper

  • Cannot start using C key

    Hi,
    I'm trying to boot from a CD, and every time I try to do this using the CD key, I get the black screen of death.
    Any ideas on how to fix this?
    thanks,
    Dave

    ok, so here's the info I got from Alsoft, which would also explain why my original Leopard DVD doesn't work:
    The problem is the upgraded 8800 Graphics Card in the computer.
    You have a "revision 40" DiskWarrior CD (which contains Mac OS X 10.4.x
    Tiger) but the 8800 Graphics Card requires at least a "DVD revision
    810" (which contains Mac OS X 10.5.x Leopard) to start up from a
    DiskWarrior disc.
    When Apple releases new hardware, a newer version of the operating
    system is required to support all of the hardware features that have
    been added.
    In most cases, older DiskWarrior 4 discs cannot start up newer machines
    because they do not have the necessary System files.
    The downloadable updater modifies the DiskWarrior application - it does
    not update the operating system on the disc. As your original
    DiskWarrior disc does not start up this computer, neither will the disc
    that you have created using the downloadable updater.
    The DiskWarrior 4.2 (DVD revision 909 - newer than the revision 810
    disc), which contains an operating system capable of starting up this
    Mac Pro with the 8800 Graphics Card is now available.

  • Cannot start Outlook 2007, a program error occurred. Tried lots of things....

    I'm getting an error message of: "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. A program error occurred. Quite Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again. A program error occurred. Quite Outlook and Microsoft Windows and then start again." when
    I try to start Outlook 2007 running on windows 8.1.  (standalone with pst file, not exchange)
    I have tried:
    Restarting computer (hard boot)
    Running in safe mode: Outlook /safe
    Resetting the nav panel: Outlook /resetnavpane
    Running scanpst on the pst files.
    Outlook /cleanprofile
    Creating a new profile
    Checking if windows search is running (it was) and restarting it.
    All with the same error message.
    I'm stumped. Any ideas how to get Outlook to open? Was there some sort of windows update that ran last night and messed up Outlook? It worked at end of day yesterday.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for the update, seems the problem has been resolved, right? If this issue comes back or you need further assistance on it, please feel free to contact us.

    Could anyone help me to figure this out? Thanks.
    Edit:
    I have also tried running `swc-launch -- velox`, and get the following error:
    Running on /dev/tty2
    velox: error while loading shared libraries: libinput.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    Server exited with status 127
    Restoring VT to original state
    So, perhaps I am having some libinput trouble. Does this seem correct?

    Seems that the problem lies in libinput. Maybe you can report that upstream. I suggest you recompile libinput with debug info and do not strip the binaries to obtain better backtraces.
    Well, that's a different problem. libinput has several soname bumps because of API and ABI incompatibility. You have to rebuild swc against the newest libinput. (Although I'm not sure if swc developer updated the code to new API)
    Edit 2:
    Just to tack this on here for `gnome-session --session=gnome-wayland --debug`
    I'm not expert on this, it may be related to libinput problem. If you don't include GDK_BACKEND=wayland environment variable when launching gnome-wayland.

  • How do I start using the example programs?

    Hi, I am trying to write a program/driver that will write and read from a couple analog output/input ports. I have a PCI-6220 and I'm running Slackware Linux.
    I've been trying to compile the examples (aiex2 is a good choice), but I can't figure out how to make it compile successfully.
    I do not consider myself a programmer (I'm a masters student of mechanical engineering), but I have modified drivers written in C for DOS before.
    Ultimately, I want to use my program/driver to control a physical system by using the analog output/input ports, and I want to do it as fast as possible. I want my program/driver to run as a real-time process.
    If there's a good reference for me to start reading, please send me a link. I can't find a good whitepaper or manual for writing drivers with the DDK.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Here's a link to some MHDDK Knowledge bases:
    http://search.ni.com/nisearch/nisearchservlet?nistype=default&ddown=2&filter=%2Btaxonomy:knowledgebase+%2Blanguage:en&q=MH_DDK
    I don't know if they'll address your partiucular problem.  If not, could you post the compilation errors you are getting.

  • Cannot start JVM within C++ program

    Hello,
    I get segmentation violation error when I try to start JVM within a C++ program using JNI on NT. I am using J2SDK1.4.2 (same story with J2SDK1.4.2_01 too). This works fine with JDK1.3.
    Did anybody see this or know how to resolve this?
    int main(int argc, char *argv[])
      JavaVMOption *options = new JavaVMOption[10];
      memset(options, 0, sizeof(JavaVMOption) * 10);
      int numOptions =0;
      JavaVMInitArgs jvm_args;
      memset(&jvm_args, 0, sizeof(jvm_args));
      jvm_args.nOptions = numOptions;
      jvm_args.version = JNI_VERSION_1_4;
      jvm_args.options = options;
      jvm_args.ignoreUnrecognized = JNI_FALSE;
      // Start the JVM
      JavaVM *jvm = NULL;
      JNIEnv *env = NULL;
      status = JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm, (void **)&env, &jvm_args);
      if (status)
        fprintf(stderr, "JVM create failed, shutting down\n");
        exit(status);
      printf("JVM initialized\n\n");
      // Destroy the JVM
      status = jvm->DestroyJavaVM();
      fprintf(stdout, "JVM destroyed\n");
      return 0;
    } Thanks in advance,
    Ramana

    Hi,
    as I see no problem with your code.
    Try to Debug ! Where does the error occur ?
    The following code should work:
    // get the JVM init args
    JavaVMInitArgs vm_args;
    jint res = 0;
    JavaVMOption options[1];
    vm_args.version     = JNI_VERSION_1_4;
    // call JNI_GetDefaultVMInitArgs (jni.h)
    res = JNI_GetDefaultVMInitArgs( &vm_args );
    // fill the args
    const char* cpOption = "-java.class.path=C:/java/path_to_class";
    vm_args.nOptions = 1;
    options[0].optionString =  cpOption ;
    vm_args.options = options;
    vm_args.ignoreUnrecognized = JNI_FALSE;
    // call JNI_CreateJavaVM
    JavaVM *jvm;
    JNIEnv *env;
    JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm, (void **)&env, &vm_args);
    // the destroy method does not work properly, see bug 4093633kind regards

  • I cannot start iTunes because the program can't find 'My music' folder

    I had a fairly hefty PC crash yesterday, and I cannot now start my iTunes software. The error message is: "The folder 'iTunes' cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder."
    I had been keeping my library in an external disk drive, that had - until the crash - been my 'G' drive. Post crash it now calls itself the 'K' drive.
    All I can presume is that the software is pointed towards the old 'G' drive.
    My music is still intact, but I just cannot connect to it.
    Can anybody help, please?
    Many thanks.
    iPod 5th Gen 80 gig   Windows XP

    I had been keeping my library in an external disk drive, that had - until the crash - been my 'G' drive. Post crash it now calls itself the 'K' drive.
    your registry will probably still be looking for the My Music folder on your K drive. (the "My Music" folder has special registry properties.)
    so let's try shifting the drive letter on that drive back to "K". for instructions on shifting drive letters, see the following document. (although it's about changing the drive letter of an iPod, the same basic principle apply to changing the drive letters of other drives.)
    Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

    Since this is a DAQ question more than a Measurement Studio for VC++ question, I'd recommend you repost it to the DAQ forum.

  • I am trying to install the newest version of Itunes and it fails with the message "Program cannot start MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling program to fix this program.I have tried reinstalling several times but get same results

    I am trying to install the newest version of Itunes and each time I repeatedly get the message "Program cannot start MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer Try reinstalling to fix this problem". I have tried reinstalling several times and I get the same message . Any ideas? I am most appreciative. I am using Windows 7.

    Hi 49balf,
    Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    I recommend removing and reinstalling iTunes using these steps:
    Check for .dll files
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
    If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
    Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
    Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
    Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
    You can find the article with these steps and more information here:

  • Can't install:  "this disk cannot be used to start up your computer"

    After making sure that my current startup disk for 10.5 was imaged to another hard drive, I inserted the Snow Leopard install disk and double-clicked the Install icon. Everything worked fine till I got to "Select the disk where you want to install Mac OS X." All of the disk partitions had warning triangles, including the one for my original startup disk, which has worked perfectly for the 10.5 pre-installed on my new iMac (identifier 9,1). When I click on the icon for this drive, the warning message below states "Mac OS X cannot be installed on 'iMac HD', because this disk cannot be used to start up your computer." Obviously that's not true, since that's where the OS is installed. No other programs were running except Finder.
    I used Disk Utility to check the disk and repair permissions: no change in the installation program's message. I quit the installation program and reinserted the DVD. It certainly does a lot of churning of the DVD before you ask it to do anything. With all external hard disks disconnected, it still gives the same error message.
    Where do I go from here? I thought Snow Leopard was "The world's most advanced operating system. Finely tuned." It can't even install itself and recognize a bootable internal hard drive on an iMac.

    How did you partition this drive, if you did that? Does it contain start up or utility partitions for any other OS (for instance Linux)? There have been reports that the "cannot be used to start up your computer" message will appear if a third party utility was used to create a 'triple boot' system or such, apparently because SL is picky about the format GUID partition scheme table info & how partitions are allocated space on the drive by other formatting/partition methods.
    For some users with these partitions, the fix has been as simple as "tickling" (slightly changing) the partition size of some partition with Disk Utility, which apparently updates the GUID partition scheme table info so that the SL installer accepts it as safe to use with SL.( In this sense, the message may be trying to say the installer thinks the disk can't be used to reliably start up your computer with SL, not in general.)
    See the discussions topic Cannot install Snow Leopard over 10.5.8 for more about this.
