Cannot sync anymore - computer crashed

computer crashed - cannot sync anymore. itunes asks to re-authorize and then tells me my computer is already authorized. and then asks to re-authorize. De-authorizing causes the deletion of all iphone programs
can anyone help me?

Well, I was able to get it to sync by opening iTunes first, and THEN connecting the iPhone. And it does sync but still will not sync with iPhoto. I also unchecked and rechecked the option to "Open iTunes automatically when this iPhone is connected" and now iTunes opens and syncs automatically. But tried the same thing with iPhoto to no avail.
Any ideas for iPhoto syncing?

( I search for iChat questions when I have finished in the iChat Forum)
So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

Since I updated to latest software on ipad cannot sync. with computer. Makes it to step 7 however says 'waiting for changes to be applied' and never completes sync.

Sorry you are having trouble syncing content with your iPhone 5. I found an article that might help with this syncing issue:

Also, you can delete the songs from the iPhone without syncing by just swiping from left to right over the song to get a delete button.

When you plug your iPhone into your PC and hear the sound does your iTunes show up on your computer? I would suggest a couple of things...........first, re-download iTunes...then try connecting your iPhone USB connector to your PC. If iTunes opens but it does lot list your phone As being connected.....................un-plug your iPhone ....and then re-plug it in (I have to do that often). If none of that works, try a hard reset of your iPhone (by holding the "sleep" and "Home" buttons until you see the white Apple logo) and then try connecting again. Let me know if this helps.

Once I connect my iPhone to the computer to sync., the computer crashes. I unistalled and installed iTunes, still I get the same results. If I disconnect the iPhone from the computer, iTune will work, I therefore uninstalled the iTune from my computer.

Once I connect my iPhone to the compjuter to sync., the computer crashes, and continues to reboot as long as the charge cable is connect between the iPhone and the computer, once I disconnect it, then the computer and iTunes will function normally.
I had uninstalled and reinstalled the iTunes 3 different times, still I am getting the same results, I therefore had to uninstall the iTune from my computer to be able to do my work, and charge the iPhone at the same time. Please note that few weeks ago, everything was working fine.
What can I do to resolve this issue.

If you have photos in the Camera Roll on your iPhone and have preferences set to open an image azure application on your pc when a camera is connected, your pc will do just that. That's how one transfers photos taken with the phone to a PC.
You can do two things to avoid this.
1. Just quit the image capture application and open iTunes. You do have iTunes 10.7 or higher installed on your pc, right?
2. You can change the preferences on your pc to do nothing when a camera is connected. And you can set the preference in iTunes to open iTunes when your iPhone is connected.

can anyone please help me, i was using a laptop with all my music and photos on with itunes on my iphone, my laptop then crashed and i lost everything, however i still had everything on iphone so that was ok
so i bought a new computer and have just authorized this computer for the iphone, the question is how to i put all my music and photos and programs downloaded on the iphone onto the computer, i cannot sync as it will delete everything off the iphone and ill have nothing,
how do i one get all my music etc from my iphone into the new itunes

If you are successful in transfering your photos and iTunes music to the new computer, immediately back up those files to another source. Buy an external hard drive, get a MobileMe account and use an iDisk... it's very important to keep your personal data backed up on a timely basis.

I cannot sync new entries from my Calendar in Outlook 2003 to my Iphone3g. It syncs my calendar up to a certain date. All new entries since a week aren't sync. The bizarre thing all changes made to my contacts & notes do sync properly. I have reinstalled ITUNES, restored my computer to January 27, Restored my IPhoneG3. Checked and rechecked the info on ITUNE. Checked Outlook03, followed the steps Apple gives to sync.
Anyone got an idea?

Hot Sync and Computer Crash

Since I have spent hours with Palm technical support and the problem is not yet resolved, I thought I would turn to the broader Palm community.
I recently upgraded from the Palm V / Palm OS 3.0 to the Treo 680. In that process, I had to upgrade the Palm OS from 3.0 to 4.1.4 to 6.2.2. When I did it on Saturday, everything worked and sync'd. Yesterday, when I tried to sync, the computer went the to dreaded "blue screen" crash. After talking with technical support, I uninstalled / reinstalled the system and it still happened.
My third technical support visit said I need to do the clean uninstall. I did as it instructed / reinstalled and still got the blue screen. One note here, I think I got all of the pieces removed during the REGEDIT session but when I re-installed, it still came up with an existing user and datafiles.
What now?

Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!!

Cannot sync anymore without Photoshop opening first; stuck in a loop

I can no longer sync my iphone without Adobe Photoshop opening first and then some message from Adobe Downloader. I seem to be stuck in a loop that consistently keeps synching over and over and I cannot reach itunes anymore without getting an error message that it lost connections with the iphone. How do I stop this looping? How do I stop PHotoshop from opening first? I'm about to throw out this iphone. I just upgraded to 2.2.1 but I was lucky I was able to do that. Somehow Photoshop shut it's ugly self off.

This happens to me everytime too. I have downloaded Photoshop again to fix the corrupt files, but it didn't help. So now when I connect my phone, and Photoshop opens, I just click on the iTunes icon on my desktop. To upload any pics I have, I choose another option to upload them. Then go to Photoshop, get pics, and look for files on my computer. Adobe will stay open and will not allow me to cancel or close. Then I have to do ctl, alt, del. Apparently this is an issue with Adobe. Hope this helps.....

Cannot sync after system crash

I had a major system crash related to bad RAM that necessitated reinstalling all system software. Now the computer is running fine but when I connect my iPod I get a message that says my iPod belongs to another computer and cannot be synced. Is there a way to keep all of my purchased music (there is a lot) and sync my ipod? 5th generation 30 gig video.

From your description, they are several issues. You already have an account but you can not sync other devices.
If your computer is already synced and you are looking to add new devices, follow the instructions from this article: [[How do I sync Firefox between my desktop and mobile?]]
Try it on [[Safe Mode]] to make sure that there's no add-on messing up with the process.
If this doesn't work let me know exactly where is it failing.

Removed cable while doing sync, now cannot sync anymore

I was syncing my iphone and I received a call, i answered the call and without noticing I unplugged my iphone, when I tried to reconnect it and sync it again, he said it couldn't work because of an unknown error. Then I tried to set the iphone back to factory settings (restore) and after 15 minutes watching the message box 'preparing iphone for recovery' it says cannot recover because of unknown error.
What should I do now ? Is there another way to factory reset it ?

likely your atv don't have a network connection at all
if you use wifi then you should enter the atv's settings and chose your wifi ssid and put in the correct password and you would be online if you don't use wifi then you need to connect an ethernet cable to yoru router
