Cannot sync certain music to my iPhone. HELP PLEASE
Recently I have been unable to sync music that I did not purchase from iTunes onto my iPhone, for example, mixtapes. The music is in my library, but when I play the song it is instantly skipped until the shuffle reaches a song that I have purchased in iTunes. When I sync my phone I keep getting stuck on that "Waiting for changes to be applied" screen too. I was hoping with the new iTunes update the other day that this problem would be fixed and it still is not. As a user of iTunes for god knows how long now, this is ridiculous, and after two weeks now I still can't believe that in this new update the problem was not fixed. Anyone else having this problem? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
So I have found a common denominator to this phenomenon. After having the same problem, I started to recopy my playlist of 500+ songs in groups of 10-20, 30+, 75+, and then over a 100+. Any music I have purchased from iTunes won't copy, but everything else did. Unsure if I made a playlist called "Purchased" at some point or this is an iTunes default, I also noticed it had some of the songs contained in my other playlist and was showing on my iPhone. Regardless of what I did such as dragging music from that playlist to the other and clearing songs from that playlist, I removed it altogether from the iPhone itself vs. doing through iTunes. After that, music copied fine to my playlist.
So, my theory is that iTunes is getting tripped up on purchased tracks already showing on the phone and all songs are showing grayed out/dotted circle because iTunes can't resolve the conflict with purchased tracks.

If those photos were part of the camera roll, they were part of the backup as well and you can restore from the latest backup you made on the old computer. After that transfer the photos to the new PC, follow this article: iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Then sync again to the new one, which will erase the phone again.
You can also try to copy the backup folder from the old computer to the new one and see if the old backups get recognized, check this article to find the location on your PC:

If the photos were not taken with the phone, your data is gone, photos you sync from iTunes to the phone are not included in the backup. -
Itunes cannot sync certain music formats
My Itunes cannot sync my music to my iphone - it says there has been an error when transferring to the phone. How could I change the format of the song before creating a playlist and syncing to my phone please?
The iPhone supports these formats, which are supported with iTunes.
.Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV.
iTunes includes an option to create an AAC version for an existing song or music file. With the song or music file selected in iTunes, at the iTunes menu bar go to Advanced and select Create AAC version. This will duplicate the existing song or music file in an AAC version. The original will not be replaced or deleted. -

My son received an ipod touch 3rd gen, from his aunt. We have not been able to sync his songs onto this device because it is not recognized on our computer. There has to be a way to sync this new ipod to our library, right?? Please help!!

CANNOT get movies into itunes or iphone Help please
okay, my mom has an old imac g4. round base, chrome stand and pivot swival screen. anyway, it was pretty out of date as far as software is concerned. i've since got it updated with tiger and the latest version of itunes. however, when i try to drag and drop movies into the itunes movies section, it doesn't allow it. on my intel imac, it lets me drag them in and drop. on this old imac, it won't let me. what do i need to do to get this working? i would greatly appreciate any help. i can't get the photos to sync either because her iphoto is out of date. the movies i have tried are mp4 and m4v movies that are successfully in itunes on my intel imac. thanks for any help!
I'm assuming this has to do with one of these things:
1) the old Mac. If you don't have USB 2.0, it may hesitate to even try to copy a gig or two of movie files (will take FOREVER).
2) Try Disc Utility and run Repair Permissions on the iMac G4. Restart. Try again.
3) Your movies may be Protected and cannot be copied to another computer if you purchased them via iTunes. -

I have upgraded to an iPhone 5 and I just cannot sync my music onto the phone. It synced with my iPad no problem (which I got after the iPhone 5) but it WILL not sync with the iPhone? I bought iTunes Match to see if that was why and that is just even more of a nightmare without constant wifi...Please help!?!?
Thanks for your suggestions Amy_lou, I have tried everything. Eventually it synced, I got in my car, plugged it in and it would not play. I switched the phone off and back on and low and behold, there was no longer any music on the phone (by which time I was cursing apple and ready to throw it out the window). A friend (a i guru) has had a go, looked up some stuff but no luck. I think it will have to be taken in to an istore. Really not happy with the iPhone 5.

I have a iPhone 5 but cannot sync my music to it from my iTunes on my lap top.it shows as doing it and the amount of memory it has used but when I check my phone no music is shown. The same with previous purchased music . It shows it as downloading but when it is finished no sign on the music ....any ideas .. I have a ipad and mini and it synced to this ok
