Cannot Sync E-Mail

I have a Palm Centro with Verizon.  I installed Versamail 4.0.  I set up an EAS account to sync with e-mail, calendar, and contacts.  I was able to connect (I have Exchange 2003) and it syncs just fine with contacts and calendar.  However, it does not sync the unread/read e-mail on Outlook 2003.  My inbox on my Centro is empty.  However, on Outlook, I do have messages that have been received.
I check the activity log, and it shows that the sync "finished".  It has numbers for Calendar and Contacts, but a "0" for messages.  So, it is not erroring out in any way.  It seems to think there are NO messages to sync.
However, I can send an e-mail from the Centro, through EAS, and it does work and sends the e-mail to the correct recipient.
Any ideas on what might be causing this trouble?
By the way, I do know that Exchange is set up properly.  I have another co-worker, also using the Centro, and he's able to sync without any issues at all.
Many thanks !!

Thanks for the response.  I tried that, and I get the same result.  The activity log shows the sync was "finished", and when I view the details, it simply has a "0" in messages.  I even increased the message size in the preferences to 20KB just to make sure it is not a message size error (and I don't get big e-mails, anyway).
There is no error code.

  • Cannot sync Yahoo mail

I have 3 e-mail accounts and had no trouble syncing my g-mail and outlook e-mail accounts, but for some reason I cannot sync my yahoo verizon.net to my new Nokia 822.  I have tried multiple times and the only way I can see my yahoo mail is to log on via the web browser and pin this site to the start menu, but there has to be a way to add this account via e-mail settings.  Any help with this would be appreciated!

    Do it manually then
Go to Settings > Emails and Accounts > Advanced Setup > Internet email account
Scroll down and follow the instructions for Manually Advanced Setup
    http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/how-to/wp8/people/set-up-or-delete-an-email-account
For Incoming email server type in pop.mail.yahoo.com
For Outgoing (SMTP) email server *- smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Everything else should be self explanatory
btw after step 3 it will ask for SSL authentication. Check mark for both

  • Cannot sync iCloud mail on my Mac

I cannot get my iCloud mail in Outlook on my Mac. The message reads "sync pending for this folder". It's been like that for 3 days now. I receive the mail on my other devices but not my Mac. I have OSX 10.9.4 and Outlook 2011. Have checked the iCloud incoming and outgoing addresses and they are correct. Any suggestions?

The Microsoft knowledge base article that @randers4 gave you, in there is how to setup Outlook for Mac 2011. Is that what you have tried/done? Replace "icloud" for the "mac" or "me" that is indicated in the KB. If you've done all that and it still doesn't work, I'm afraid that, as @randers4 indicates, use the Mac Mail app. I've tried Outlook 2004 for Mac and Outlook 2011 for Mac and every Outlook version from 2003 - 2013 on Windows, it simply doesn't work as well as the OS X Mail application. I have missing folders and missing mails.
Any particular reason to stick to Outlook? If you have POP, Exchange, or IMAP accounts as well as iCloud, the OS X Mail app works with them as well. I'm on OS X Mavericks (10.9.4) on MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013) and have Office 365, but I've deleted Outlook. I know this doesn't help, but try to use the Mail app for other accounts as well.

  • Cannot sync yahoo mail on htc one M8

I just got my htc one m8 and I'm trying to get everything setup. I've set up my other email accounts on exchange but when I try to sync my yahoo mail it does not work. I enter my user/pass and it says checking account settings... Then after a minute or so I get a message that says Cannot connect to the remote server. Please check the network settings and then try again.
To be clear, I'm on wifi and my network is working fine for everything except this. Any ideas what may be causing it?

looks like a quick google search solved my issue. You have to set it up manually. The server address and port #'s are wrong by default. If anyone else has the issue you can follow these instructions.

  • CANNOT SYNC MAIL IN ITUNES?

FIRSTLY PLEASE EXUSE THE CAPS.IM PARTIALLY SIGHTED
CAN ANYONE HELP ME ,I CANNOT SYNC MY MAIL IN ITUNES,I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE BUT THE ACCOUNT IS CORRECT WITH DETAILS ETC & IVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE,SO IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME OUT ,I WULL BE VERY GREATFUL,THANKYOU
AS I SAID,PLEASE EXUSE ME WRITING IN CAPS,I FIND IT VERY HARD TO READ & WRITE IN LOWERCASE.I AM NOT SHOUTING OUT OK

ITUNES WILL SYNC YOUR EMAIL SETTINGS DURING THE SET UP PROCESS BUT DOESN'T SYNC THE MAILBOXES.
IF YOU HAVE A MOBILEME/GOOGLEMIL/YAHOO MAIL .IMAP TYPE MAIL ACCOUNT, OR SOME OF THE MS EXCHANGED BASED MAIL SERVERS, YOU CAN HAVE THESE PUSH YOUR EMAIL TO THE IPHONE SO THEY +ARE IN SYNC+ ACROSS APPLIANCES.
A TYPICAL POP3 ACCOUNT AS STILL OFFERED BY MANY INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS IN THE UK SUCH AS ORANGE/BT/SKY ETC.......... EXPECTS TO HAVE JUST ONE EMAIL CLIENT SIGNED IN AT ANY ONE TIME SO ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO ACTUALLY SYNC OVER AIR.
AN ADDED DIFFICULTY SINCE YOUR ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCESS THE IPHONE FILE SYSTEM YOU CAN'T DRAG THE MAILBOX OR MS OUTLOOK .PPT FILES ONTO THE PHONE EITHER.

That's not quite what I meant. What I meant was that any authoritative forward looking information is not allowed on these forums (see the ToS). Anyone who has access to such information is restricted from releasing it. In essence, that reduces to "rumor" any forward looking information you might see here. Since these forums are not a user-to/from-RIM conduit, the information will come only from other users...who, by our very nature, simply don't have access to such forward looking information. I hope that RIM is looking into this situation (and hundreds others, btw), but we have no way to know if they are.

  • I can sync with my outlook calendar, but cannot sync with contacts or e-mail.

I can sync with my outlook calendar, but cannot sync with contacts or e-mail.  When I click on Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars it doesn't open and reverts to the home page.  When I try to open Mail I get an error message saying "Cannot get mail.  The user name or password for Gmail is incorrect".  If I press "settings" it reverts to home page.  I was revised to restore settings which I have now done, but the problem has not been resolved. Can anyone help?
i do have a gmail account and may have used this when I first set up itunes/ipad (I'm new to Apple).  However, I want to synchronize with my Microsoft Exchange account.

It may be a bit late for your needs, but there's a sync product for Outlook (an add-in) that will sync public and private folders/calendars.  Once you have your items in a mailbox folder, the regular ios sync will bring it to your device.  It's called Add2Outlook, it's made by DidItBetter.com Software.
It syncs private and public, mailboxes and folders in any direction.  One-way, two-way, read-only or writable.  It also works with Office 365 and hosted exchange providers, if that's your situation.  It works for calendars, contacts, tasks, email, whatever.  It can even sync to PST or between two different Exchange servers.
It installs on your workstation, not on the Exchange server.
Check it out here: Outlook Contact and Calendar Sync for Office 365

  • TS1627 Mail on iPad is stuck. Cannot sync or evenrevert to resolve problem.

    1. Mail on iPad2 is stuck, really stuck, for days. Cannot sync or even 'revert' to resolve problem. Error message on iMac insists mail is in use.
How can I get it out of use?
    2. Mail on iMac OSX 10.5.8 is missing from applications file, although it remains in the dock and I can launch and use it normally.
Finder is unable to locate it.
Tried Apple support, but nothing available to restore mail app. Possibly, this is reason mail cannot sync with iPad2?
    3. In separate issue, I downloaded update for wife's newer iMac OS X 10.6 machine. Immediately, download created a problem for Mail 4.5 on her machine.
Error message complained that Mail 4.5 was (no longer) compatible with this computer. Seemed impossible.
Tried Apple support, but nothing available to restore mail app.
Blogger indicated file to download and that appeared to install (or activate) Mail 4.6.
Mail service was restored, but it has a number of problems problems. For one, it does not open certain emails, but gives the last message viewed.
Has anyone had this experience? If so, can it be resolved?
We have happily used Apple Mail for years and are surprised to encounter so many diverse difficulties at one time.
As usual, I assume that the fault lies with my ignorance and mismanagement.
I have recently purchased and installed a new (Netgear) modem. Mail has worked on all devices prior to this breakdown.
    Thanks for helping the handicapped.

    Good stuff...
For any other applications you may have trouble with... running in Vista Compatibility mode is done by locating the programs installation directory and then locating the .exe file in your system...then right click on that .exe and a window will appear...goto the compatibility tab and then choose either XP or Vista as the compatibility mode...

  • Cannot sync photos or mail accts since new app's installed

    Hi,
I have recently installed a new app' and also updated some old ones. Since then every time I try and sync my iPhone it comes up with the message "Cannot Sync "AKs" iPhone. The required file cannot be found."
I have tried to restore it to no avail. I am loathed to try and upgrade to OS4.0 as I am somewhere where I do not have a lot of bandwidth or data allowance at the moment and so cannot do that easily. It only seems to be the photos and my mail account that I cannot do anything with at the moment.
Can anyone help me find this apparently missing 'required file'?!
    Cheers

  • My macbook air cannot sync with my office microsoft exchange 2010 mail server

My macbook air cannot sync with my office microsoft exchange 2010 mail server.
It used to work perfectly, and then I lost connection and was never able to establish one. I re-istalled my e-mail account several times, no success.

I am sure all of you got your email issues sorted out by now but i was having trouble settings up exchange email on my Iphone 5S, and the problem i found was to go to settings, icloud, then log into icloud with your apple id first (before setting up the exchange email).  Once i logged into my icloud account on my Phone 5S, the exchange server email starting working and synching right away.
to confirm this worked, i even deleted my email account and deleted my Icloud accounts both from my iphone was able to simulated the same exact problem (exchange server would not sync with my Iphone 5S) until i logged back into my Icloud account on my 5S.
Again once i logged into Icloud, the exchange server issues went completely away.
Just wanted to post this so anyone else having the issue could see.

  • Google account issue, cannot sync mails from one G...

Hi. Yesterday i found out that my nokia n9 cannot sync mails from my Gmail account and it is still asking me for password. I was resetting settings, cleaning phone to the factory, even i flashed my software again, and it still doesnt work. When i add an account it syncs with Gtalk succesfully, but cannot connect to Gmail. I was trying the 2 step authentication by Google, than closed any captcha problems with Google help. And nothing works for me. Tried to enter commands
    "gconftool --recursive-unset /system/http_proxy
    gconftool --recursive-unset /system/proxy
    gconftool --recursive-unset /system/osso"
Tried to delete all accounts, reboot and add them again, or delere all accounts, than reset to factory, and add them again. Nothing helps to me.
Tried to make an backup, open it with computer and delete files inside some folders (forgot which), than backed it up. Still the same
Than i created one more account on Gmail, wrote to this adress, and added it to my phone. Than it worked, synced the mail which i've written. But it still doesnt work with my main account.
Is there any setting file which isnt cleared until reset/flash? Or where can i find it?

I'm pretty certain that I had the same problem as you but was able to find a fix.  Basically, just delete the "/home/user/.qmf" folder and reboot.  Below is a link to another forum with a more technically detailed explanation.  Good luck!

  • I changed the email address for my apple id and now I cannot sync the contacts and calendar with my iphone

It is crazy but in the apple store they set up the icloud for me and then I started sync the iphone against the icloud and i had some photos in streaming because they recommended to do like that. After that, the space got not enough and they asked for more more to increase the space, so I decided to come back to the previous method and sync my iphone with itunes via usb. Well, the email address that i had for my apple id became unavailable so i had to create a new account this time with gmail and since then, i cannot sync my iphone. I have done it today and i have lost my contacts and the calendar is no ,onger sync. I am using outlook to manage my mail and when I look for the i cloud it asks me for the old email address which no longer exists and does not match with the current one.
    Can anyone help me?

    Nevermind, I figured it out!

  • I cannot sync my phone because my device is locked and the screen is broken. how can i get around this?

My screen on my iPhone 5s 16g has broken and i just received a new one in the mail. i want to sync my old phone to iTunes so i can restore my new one, but cannot sync do to the fact that my screen is broken and i am unable to unlock the phone… how can i get around this?

You don't. If you use a 3rd party to "fix it" or attempt to do it yourself, Apple will reject the return and charge you the full price of the phone as if you had not returned it at all.
It's too late. You should have been backing up before it failed.

  • IPhone cannot sync address book, "too many flushes" in console

Hello, ran into this recently and its driving me nuts. I've restored the phone twice, without restoring a backup, setting it up as a new phone each time.
It'll sync everything else fine but not this. I have reset the sync history in isync, deleted my address book completely (I have a backup of it) yet iTunes still shows the old groups under the info tab. I've double checked that I am the owner on the permissions page of the mail/ical/itunes/etc.... folders in %users/Library. Repaired permissions. I'm running out of things to check.
Whenever I try to sync this is the information that can be found in the Console. I've deleted preferences, i'm almost ready to completely blow itunes away and re-import/re-rate my itunes library from scratch!

I also cannot sync anything from the Info tab, contacts, calendars, can't replace the data either. If I enable iCal syncing it just hangs on the sync and doesn't error out. it'll stay syncing contacts for over 12 hours so far with no change.

After running sudo chown -R rr152510 SyncServices/ from terminal I received the same errors. So either its not following through the sub-directories and changing the owner, or its something else. Gonna try it from the root user, though sudo should have given me permissions to do anything I wanted.
