Cannot sync email/notes on my iCloud account

Hi guys,
I have searched all over the internet with no success and called apple support but they couldn't help me.
My problem seems unique but I'm sure it's not - however I can't find any answers.
I have an Apple-ID, with an @icloud.com email associated with it (when I first created the account, I registered a @mac.com address).
When I go to iCloud settings on my mac or on my iphone it keeps asking me to create a @icloud.com address. When I enter the address that I use for my Apple-ID it says that it's not available (obviously, cause I already registered it). When I try to enter a new one nothing happens.
This has been the case since I created the mail (around when iCloud was released). Every now and then I try to solve the problem and spend a couple of hours of searching the web, but I always end up syncing notes with gmail instead. My aim is to completely migrate all my docs, notes, calendar etc to iCloud but I can't do it because of this.
The guy at Apple Support was very friendly and helpful, and we even had an e-mail conversation for about a week, but in the end he couldn't fix the problem.
I also don't want to create a completely new Apple ID, but maybe that's the only way for me.

First save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (if not already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. When you're done, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID and password. This will delete the account and your iCloud data from your phone, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your phone when you sign back in.

perfect. ok do the following:
settings > mail, contacts, calendars > go into the exchange account. You should have an email in the account field...[email protected] or [email protected], etc.... I am assuming you don't remember the password to this exchange account so once you know the email, you can go to email providers site and click on forgot password and you will go through the steps to get a new password. Once you do this, you will need to go back into your "exchange account " and the field that has the exchange email > touch the > to open settings. Change the password to your new password you got from above. Once you do this, you can add the exchange account to your ipad and all of your contacts will sync to both devices.
Please confirm.

Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then setup iCloud with your new ID.
You can't change the Apple ID for your iCloud account, you have to delete it.

Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account and request another email.

You can eirther I think go on ITunes or if you can get to settings you would just go to iCloud.

You have to look at the email protocol being used. the Apple email system uses IMAP, does Tinyworld use IMAP or POP?
Does the email system permit delivery receipts to be requested?
Just some of the things one needs to determine from the information provided by the email service provider.

First go here - https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and login under the manage tab. Check your information and be sure it is all correct.
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, so if you see another email address in the store, then someone has logged in with a different AppleID than yours. Did you let someone else use your iPhone?

Messages.app not accepting my iCloud account

I've just upgraded my iMac to Yosemite (iMac (24-inch, Early 2009)) and I cannot log onto Messages using my iCloud account and gives the following error message.
"Your Apple ID "<redacted>@mac.com" can't be used to set up iMessage at this time.
If this is a new Apple ID, you do not need to create another one. To use this Apple ID with iMessage, contact iMessage support with the code below.

I've rung the number it suggests but the automated message says I'm out of support and need to raise a £35 ticket which is OTT
I've tried the iCloud and Me variants of my account and I'm logged into iCloud for Mail, Calendar, notes, iTunes etc. In addition an old AIM account seems to log on but with no-one connected.
I've tried safe-boot mode, zapped the PRAM and I'm trawling the net but no such luck. Messages was syncing so far as I'm aware under Mavericks.

To enable your account must reset password" but so bad again, the email address that he used to create icloud ID also lock for security reason. May Apple Supporter please help reset it ASAP? I can verify that I am the iphone's owner, as it belong to company's phone.

Exchange notes between different iCloud accounts

I have created a collection of notes with the Notes app on my iPad. How can I transfer these notes in a simple way to the Notes app on my wife's iPad?
More general: How can I exchange notes between different iCloud accounts?

You can have multiple iCloud accounts on the same device, but one has to be the "primary". Any secondary account(s) you add will support things like Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes (but not things like Safari syncing nor Find My iPhone for that account).
So if your wife does not mind you having her iCloud account set up as a secondary account on your iPad, you could then copy a note from your account and paste it into a new note in her account.
Alternatively, just email the note to your wife (right from within the Notes app) and she can copy and paste the information into a note on her device.

Cannot send email with any of my accounts on Mail 5.2

I have a Mac Book Pro
Mac Os X 10.7.4
Mail 5.2
I have many diferent email accounts (gmail, hotmail, prodigy.net.mx, etc)
Some are POP, some are IMAP
I have another computer, an iMac with older system and older Mail app. and used same setup for all accounts
I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails on any of the accounts. I have quadruple checked all settings and all seems to be ok.
All smtp connections appear as not connected, yet different servers, or email suppliers, this makes me suspect something else is wrong.
Any ideas? Help would be appreciated.

Just FYI, I've had the same problem for months now. I have been accessing my hotmail via the web, but decided to try the OS X Mail app. I could get emails into the account with no problem but couldn't send. I read all the blog and support entries and have tried everything they recommended, like changing my computer name to one word, without success. Then last night, it just so happened that my broadband provider had to change out my wireless modem. As soon as he plugged in the new one, some emails that had been in my outbasket for a month went through instantly and all of a sudden my Mail, both incoming and outgoing now work. So I think people need to look at their router settings for the a solution to the problem.

You can go to the Apple online store and purcahse a copy of Mountain Lion. This will give you a redemption code, which you can use to download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Unfortuantely, I'm not aware of any other way to legally purchase it. I have never seen Apple release Muontain Lion on DVD.
In terms of Apple Service, they just need the serial number of the machine to check the purcahse date. It is usually correct, to within a few weeks. A quick Google search should give you the correct number to dial.
