Cannot sync existing MobileMe galleries with Entourage instead of iPhoto

Hi.
I just purchased Aperture 3 and I am in the middle of totally replacing iPhoto with Aperture, or at least trying to.
I have a bunch of MobileMe gallery albums currently synced with iPhoto and would like to sync them with Aperture. I do not want to re-create them and have to send a new URL for each album to my friends.
I remember seeing a button in the MobileMe album settings to change that (when I did not even have Aperture installed).
And an Apple support article clearly describes it (at the end of http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1675)
But the "syncs with" button is now nowhere to be found on my MobileMe albums, which is very inconvenient.
Anyone else seeing (or not) this setting ? Or having found it in a new place?
Thanks in advance,
Jerome.

I am try to do exactly the same thing with the same problem.
The instructions are clear enough in the KB/TS1675:-
"Additional Information
As a new feature in MobileMe Gallery, you can change the application with which an album is synced.
For example, if you add an album to your Gallery using iPhoto and you want to see it in the Aperture Gallery list:
Select and enter the album
Click the Album Settings icon in MobileMe Gallery toolbar (looks like a light switch)
Change the application next to "Syncs with" from iPhoto to Aperture
Click Change"
But there is no "syncs with" option....

• Add old/existing mobileme galleries to Aperture?

I have created mobileme galleries with iPhone and iPhoto on another computer, and would now like to be able to manage them on Aperture 3. Is this possible?
I have imported the old iPhoto library, but none of the mobileme galleries imported.
I have already created a new mobileme gallery from Aperture, so I'm signed in ok.

You might try this.
View your mobileme gallery via your web browser.
Single click on your gallery.
Then click on the "Adjust settings" button (Looks like two sliders)
Look towards the bottom of the pane and you'll find "Syncs with"
You might be able to change that from iPhoto to Aperture

Can't get my Music off of my iPhone 4...
My computer died & had to get a new one, so now I cannot sync my iPhone 4 with the new computer, without losing all of my Music, because the only Music I have is on the iPhone 4 only, not on the computer. No Backup anywhere : (
If I choose to sync it tells me all of the Content that does not match the iTunes library on the computer will be erased, do you want to proceed & I have to say no.
How do I replace the music library on my Computer with the Music on the iPhone?
I got my pictures off because you can access them when you connect the iPhone using Windows 7 but you cannot see any of the music so you cannot access it when using windows so don't know what to do...
Help...

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

• The podcast channel on iTunes Store cannot sync the new program with my podcast homepage

• I cannot sync my iPhone 5s with my Mac Air.

I cannot sync my iPhone 5s with my Mac Air.
I have been able to do so the past and with the recent upgrades I am unable to do so now.
I went to iTunes as usual to the iPhone option on the right and the iCal sync option is no longer available. They Apple leave this out accidentally with the new upgrades. I hope they add it back really soon. I rely on this sync. I have appointment that I cannot overlap.

The ability to sync your iPhone using iTunes has been removed in Mavericks. You are expected to use iCloud, which will give you the same syncing functionality and will happen automatically without your having to plug it in.

• Hypotheses: iPhone3G cannot sync to 2 computers with audio&photo separately

Sorry, the Subject line was too long.
My hypotheses is that with a iPhone 3G, it is not possible to sync the iPhone 3G with 2 Macs such that the one computer supplies photos, while the 2nd computer supplies audio.
Versions:
iPhone 3G, Firmware 2.0.1 & 2.0.2. No jailbreaking. iTunes 7.7.1. Leopard on both machines. Mac#1: MacBook Pro Rev A, Mac#2: PowerBook G4 15" Rev A
I have 2 Macs. My personal Mac#1 has my photos. Mac#2 has my audio (audiobooks, podcasts, garden variety AAC & MP3 files. No DRM iTunes store music).
My mail, contacts, calendar & bookmarks sync to Mac#1, Mac#2, iPhone 3G via MobileMe without issue. This means mail/contacts/calendar/bookmars are uninvolved with USB syncing.
I can load photos onto the iPhone 3G by connecting to Mac#1. In iTunes, I uncheck "Sync Ringtones", "Sync Music", "Sync Podcasts", "Sync Applications". Nothing selected in the Video tab. My selected set of photos go over to the iPhone just fine.
On Mac#2, I select "Sync All Ringtones", "Sync selected Playlists", "Sync selected podcasts (1 most recent)", no video, "Sync all Applications".
After syncing, things are perfect, the iPhone 3G has all my data as I like it. It works.
But if I want to add more photos, I attach to Mac#1, and the problem starts there.
Before I sync, I check the settings on the iPhone tab in iTunes. Unfortunately, they show that the sync boxes for "Ringtones", "Music", "Photos", "Podcasts", "Applications" are all selected.
If I press the Sync button now, a backup occurs.
Then messages like "Podcasts on the iPhone cannot be synced because all of the podcasts selected for syncing no longer exist"
Then I have end up with an iPhone that has no music on it. Has photos though.
If I unselect the "Sync Music" checkbox, the Sync buttons changes to Apply. Click Apply still creates a iPhone that has no music on it.
If I unselect the "Sync ringtones" checkbox, a message pops up asking "are you sure you do not want to sync ringtones? All existing ringtones on the iPhone will be removed". Same thing happens i I unselect "Sync Applications".
Whatever happens, I end up with a iPhone without music.
Good thing is that, the photos are always preserved on the iPhone. Which means, I can reconnect to Mac#2 to get my music again.
I find that these settings don't matter:
* if iTunes is asked to automatically sync on attachment
* if iTunes on Mac#1 is asked to manually manage the music/video
* if I use smart playlists to sync podcasts, without using the podcasts tab in iTunes
I bring this up because, this is similar to the behaviour of my iPod nano 3rd gen.
However, I am sure that with original jailbroken iPhone with firmware 1.1.4 (jailbroken because I'm in Australia), I could do this seamlessly. I'm guessing, that the jailbreak process adjusted something that allowed the iPhone to do this.
Also, my experiences varies from the ones on http://www.iphoneatlas.com/2008/01/25/manage-iphone-syncing-with-multiple-comput ers/
And finally, my experience varies from other people who seem to have managed to accomplish what I'm trying to do, on various blogs. However, I am unable to replicate their experiences.
If I want to preserve photo syncing on the iPhone, and yet still update the playlists on the iPhone, I'm guessing I could just make it a routine to
1. Sync on Mac#2 first
2. Sync on Mac#1 to update my photos, and erase all music then
3. Sync on Mac#2 again.
Alternatively, I could live without updating my photos on the iPhone, which is a shame because:
1. My photos live on Mac#1, and syncing allows me to grab photos off the iPhone camera onto Mac#1
2. The Photo-viewing experience on the iPhone is stupendous.
I call this a hypotheses, and am throwing it out there in case someone can disprove it.
Thanks.

Dear Chik,
fina analysis. I am experiencing similar problems. I have my music/podcasts on my Work macmini, while I have Photos on my Home laptop. Whenever I connect to my Home laptop it either removes my podcasts (not the music though) or the photos. I haven't yet done a thought experiment on the different settings, but it seems I'm hitting the same wall as you do.
This link might be useful though:

• Cannot sync Outlook 2013 calendar with Windows 8 phone

I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 1320 with Windows 8. I have tried to sync the calendar app with my Outlook 2013 calendar (on a Windows 8.1 PC).
I have created a Hotmail account on Outlook and converted my original Outlook calendar to a list before copying it to the Hotmail calendar account, as instructed on various MS web pages (I cannot
enter hyperlinks here, your genius web site won't let me), but nothing appears on my phone. It was actually MUCH easier to sync with my previous Android phone and an iPad - so much for seamless Windows connections.
After wasting many, many hours I noticed that if I
manually enter an appointment in the Hotmail calendar (in Outlook), then it
appears in the phone (and vice versa). However it does not appear for events that I have mass-copied over to the Hotmail account, including recurring events. This flies in the face of what the instructions say. There are far too many future
events for me to re-type, along with the danger that I might miss some. Why doesn't the mass copy (only of future, recurring and
active events) work?
I have wasted way too much time on this and am beginning to deeply regret buying a Windows phone. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks for replying, Mike. I have set up two accounts on the phone, one is my 'normal' email account (non-Microsoft) and the other is my Hotmail account, which appears in Email + Accounts as 'Microsoft Account'. I am now at work (in Australia) and
don't have the phone with me, so I can't be sure of the exact words.
Anyway with the MS account there is only one check box - Email. In my endless trawling through the web I read somewhere that this 'primary' account automatically syncs the Calendar and Contacts, so the additional check boxes are considered redundant
(which seems pretty dumb - a user might not WANT to sync them).
I also set up an additional Hotmail account, which appeared as 'Hotmail 2', and this did have the sync Calendar and Contacts check boxes, but it will wouldn't do the job. I tried deleting the 'primary' account so I could use the secondary account instead
(and force the syncing through those check boxes), but it would not let me.

• I cannot sync my iPhone 4s with iTunes (MacBook Pro OS X 10.5.8)

Whenever I attempt to connect my iPhone 4s to my MacBook Pro to sync and transfer music I receive the following error message: "The iPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes."
I tried downloading latest version of iTunes but when I went to install, received error message that I needed OS X 10.6 or later. Subsequently, I just purchased OS X Snow Leopard 10.6. Once I upgrade to that OS, will I be able to software upgrade to the appropriate versions of OS X and iTunes so that I can sync my iPhone 4s with my iTunes on MacBook running OS X 10.6.?

Yes.

• Cannot sync Outlook 2007 Calendar with iPhone 4 using iTunes 10 for Windows

I cannot sync my calendars with my iPhone and Outlook. I spent the whole day uninstalling Office and iTunes and reinstalling them, but calendar items still won't sync in either direction. I also deleted and reinstalled the Outlook iTunes addin. I'm not getting any error messages; they just are not syncing.
I am using:
Windows XP Pro
Outlook 2007
iPhone 4
iTunes 10

OK...here's the update. I tried a few more tricks, too numerous to go into and NOTHING worked. I finally downlaoded and installed Companionlink Express and.....presto! I can sync again. 49.95 for the Companionlink software. You would think the BB folks could write (or purchase) a decent piece of software. I purchased the 8330 primarily to help me keep up with my calendar. When that didn't work, I had a $200 dollar cell phone. RIM almost got this one back! By the way, the website is www.companionlink.com.

• Cannot sync I Pod Classic with Contacts

I cannot sync my Contacts in Agenda with my I Pod Classic. Could anybody help me? Thanks

Okay, first off, make sure you have the new iTunes. The only songs that will transfer will be the songs that you bought from iTunes. Then connect the iPod to the new computer, then a message will pop up, asking to earase data from iPod and transfer all purchased music to the new iTunes library, this should transfer the music and sync the music, when the iPod is connected, go to the iPod icon on the left side of iTunes. Then hit sync at the bottom right corner. A message will pop up asking you to make sure you want to switch libraries becasuse the iPod can only be connected to one library, hit accept, and all should be good!
