Cannot sync iCal...

Every time I try to sync my iPhone it hangs on the calendar sync. I can only fully sync my phone if I un-select the contacts sync feature.
I deleted all my multiple calendars in iCal and started my calendar from scratch and still it will not sync...
Any ideas?

A colleague of mine had a similar issue - whenever she tried to sync to iCal, she got a message saying that the iPhone had disconnected. We tried resetting the iPhone, changing the USB cable, modifying recurring events in iCal, and nothing worked. Finally she reloaded iCal from scratch, restored her events, and the fresh copy seemed to do the trick - she hasn't had any problems with syncing since then.

I bought an iMac few days ago. I would like to sync ical on my iMac with my professional calendar I use in my company (from outlook web access).
I was easy to manage it on my iPhone (I just add a new "exchange" mail account and ask for a calendar sync only) and it worked very quickly.
But I cannot do it with the iMac, and I don't undersatnd why?
the domain is is used for my iPhone is the following :
owa.companyname.com
I tried all the solutions I found in this forum but it doesn't work.

Cannot Sync iCal from .Mac

Whenever I try to sync iCal, a error message appears saying that iCal cannot sync due to inconsistent data, to reset data in iCal and then sync.
I have tried resetting the data on iCal, but it doesn't reset. I erased all the info, but I still cannot make iCal to sync date from .Mac.
Any idea?

Cannot sync ical from iphone to my mac pro

Hi All
I have tried all sorts and although I ticked the relevant boxes on itunes, I cannot transfer (sync) ical info from iphone to my mac.
I have no info on my mac i cal, everything else like contacts seem to sync no problem!
I have tried using isync instead of itunes as some folk recommended but without any success.
Any ideas??

Before syncing calendar events with an empty supported calendar app on your computer, you need to enter one calendar event in the supported calendar app on your computer - in this case in iCal on your Mac. Make this calendar event up if needed, which can be deleted later.
If there are any calendar events available on your iPhone, this should provide a merge prompt with this first sync for this data, which you want to select.
I have tried using isync instead of itunes as some folk recommended but without any success.
iSync can't be used to sync anything with an iPhone. iSync can be used to reset the sync history on your Mac, which is done via iSync preferences.

I cannot sync ical correctly among my devices

When I write something in calendar icloud doesn´t sync correctly, the error message is: (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation)
It is happening just a week ago, and nothing special I did. My computer is:
MacBook Pro
Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
Any help will be appreciated, I use to use the ical sync with icloud every day.

Please help! The phone is far less useful to me without the ability to sync iCal. There must be someone out there who has an answer!

Still not resolved: cannot sync iCal with either my iPhone or Nokia E71

I have tried everything that has been suggested in these posts, but neither the iPhone NOR the Nokia E71 want to sync with my iCal calendars (I have 4 set up in one iCal application). Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? It used to work fine, but not is suggesting that the iCal calendar is not "writable".

I have just discovered something else on this issue (which still persists)..when I set up an appointment in the Nokia, it does find calendars to sync with but in Entourage instead of in my iCal? Does this help solve the problem that I have been having syncing iCal with Nokia/iPhone?? Anyone???

Since uploading iCloud I have not been able to sync iCal either over air or by cable - can anyone suggest a sequence that I can try?

Hi people, I think I have a solution:
Quit Calendar, and try removing the cache files from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. To find that Library folder, use Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Delete any files with CACHE in their name in the Calendars folder.
When you open iCal again, it says "Updating calendars", and the sync now seems to work.
Of course, do a backup of all calendars before doing any of this.

I cannot sync iCal between MacBook Air and iPhone!

My appointments just does not sync. When I make an appointment on iPhone it does not get into iCal on my Macbook. And appointments made on Macbook does not get into iCal on the iPhone when syncing. I use to work. I checked the sync calender tab in iTunes. Any ideas?

i sync with itunes- but i cannot get it to sync the calendars. it just keeps 'syncing'. i love this phone a lot, but really...

Ok, mine works now. I went in to my home folder then to library and trashed the iCal folder inside the Application Support folder (this will delete your calendar so you might want to export it-I think you can do this). Then I went to Disk First Aid and restored the system preferences. Then I logged out, logged back in and then imported my old calendar to iCal and then synced. It worked! I think there was something wrong with the old calendar file. Good luck!

Cannot sync iCal and Address Book to iPod

I have an iBook and a 30g video iPod. I have plenty of contacts in my Apple address book and plenty of info in iCal, but when I try to load them onto my iPod, it says I must ADD contacts and calendars. It doesn't seem to recognize my contacts and my calendars. Help!!

I was told by iPod support to go to iTunes/preferences/iPod and I would see an option for contacts and calendar. I did not so they had me restore my iPod which removed all my contacts and calendar items that I had previously be able to sync. Now they say they are not authorized to help with this problem, so I'm left with no contacts or calendar items on my iPod. Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to sync these from my iMac G5 OS X 10.3.9 to my 2G iPod Nano?

Cannot Sync iCal with iPhone (2.0.1) and iTunes (7.7.1)

I tried to sync with iTunes this morning and I noticed that none of my calendar items were being synced. I did an search of the forums and found some old solutions. I tried them but none of them worked for me. Here's what I've tried:
1. Logging in to a different iTunes account
2. Resetting the history on iSync
3. in iTunes, going to Info>Advanced and replacing all the info on the iPhone
4. Full restore of the iPhone
5. Verifying that all the items are checked in the Info panel (calendar, address book, etc.)
I get this message when I try to sync: "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone [my phone's name] because a sync session could not be started."
Again, I've tried all the possible solutions. I cannot remember the last time I synced. It may have been before iTunes updated.
I do not use MobileMe. Any ideas?

Move the SyncServices folder located at ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices to the desktop
Trash all the caches in ~/Library/Caches

Cannot sync iCal and iPhone in Leopard

iCal will not sync to my iPhone since upgrading to Leopard. I've restarted both iPhone and Mac repeatedly, but that hasn't helped. I've tried changing iPhone iCal sync settings but nothing works. All other information is synced, just not iCal.

Unfortunately, the problem persists. Syncing of iCal has been completely unstable ever since purchasing my iPhone both before Leopard and after. I just updated to 10.5.1 and the issue remains.
I have just deleted unwanted calendars - no improvement. I have reset the iPhone - no change. I have reset my iSync history - no effect.
This is a true case of Apple simply "just not working" instead of "just working". I've been a user since 1991 and an avid fan. Apple simply isn't the same company it used to be. I have a hard time advocating when something this basic to the PDA functionality consistently fails.

Cannot sync iCal on iMac (10.5.8) with iCloud.

Basically, when I put in iCal events, it doesn't sync up to my iPhone 5. I don't use Gmail, so I thought the easiest way to sync the devices would be through iCloud. I've checked all of my sync options on the iPhone and they're all on.
Keep getting "Account information not found": Request to the server http://www.icloud.com/principals/users/'user_name'/ failed (code 30). I go into iCal > Preferences > Accounts > + > put in my iCloud user name and password and enter "www.icloud.com" under "Server Options"/"Account URL:". I also hit the "Use Kerberos v5 for authentication" button. I've tried a bunch of different combinations and none of them seem to work. Please help!

Yes, 10.5.8. Is there another way to add in an account to sync my calendars then? I use a Yahoo account.
