Cannot sync music on iPad 2

Since iOS 7 and Maverick I cannot sync the music that I buy on iTune to my iPad2

I was running into the same problem. If I looked in iTunes under My iPad->TV Shows, it shows were listed, but on the iPad itself it would not show up.  What fixed it for me was to use Get Info (⌘I) on all the episodes and set Info:Album and Video:Show to match (my Info:Album field was previously blank.)
I hope that helps.

  • Cannot sync music to iPad or transfer bought films from iPad.

    Hello,
I am having trouble with my iPad 2. I am trying to go through all the options but I cannot get anywhere with it.
I cannot sync any music from my iTunes to the iPad, and I have films purchased on the iPad (Purchased, not rented) that I cannot transfer to iTunes.
On the iPad "about" shows no songs, 1 film. When i go to the iPad tab in iTunes there is the music I want synced (in grey) and no films.
Whenever I go through a sync process it says completing steps 1 through 7, but after step 7 "cancelling sync".
I would restore the iPad but I don't want to lose the film I bought and I'd prefer to transfer it to the Laptop (MacBook) before I Restore the iPad.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same issue, already for about a month or so, (a bit after the release of iOS 7) on my iPhone 4S.
Always stuck on Waiting for Changes to be Applied.
    I already tried:
    - built a completely new iTunes Library (my previous one was completely manually managed, this one is automatic, a change I had planned to do since a while, but now thought would be good to implement because it may fix my issue... no it didn't).
    - Removed all voice memos from my iPhone.
    - Restored from a iCloud backup. Then syncing again.
    - Updated to Mavericks with iTunes 11.1.2 and iOS 7.0.3.
    - Changed the name of the MediaLibrary.sqlitedb file on the iPhone (trough Phoneview) to have iTunes make a new Library. Still it's stuck on the bigger playlists.
The only thing I didn't do yet, was setting it up as a completely new phone. I am not gonna loose 4 years of text messages because of a bug in the software.
It syncs some playlists, but most of my larger ones it doesn't. I paid 850 euros to have an 64GB iPhone 4S, and now I have to leave it with 3/4 empty space because of Apple. Very frustrating.

  • I cannot sync music from my iMac to my iPad.

I cannot sync music from my iMac to my iPad.
I have tried rebooting my computer, rebooting and iPad, and nothing works.
I'm using an iMac that runs OS X 10.9.1, iTunes 11.1.4 and my iPad Air runs iOS 7.0.4.  Please help!

I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.
    Thanks for the effort

  • HT1296 I cannot sync music from computer to iPad 2 but podcasts and books have synched

I cannot sync music in iTunes from my laptop to my ipad2, the audio books and podcasts have synced. Please can anyone help?

Step 1: Turn off iTunes Match on your computer
(iTunes: store >  Turn off iTunes Match).
Step 2: Turn off iTunes Match on all your devices
(iPad: settings > music > iTunes Match [off]).
(iPhone: settings > music > iTunes Match [off])
Step 3: Sign off of your iTunes account
    (iTunes: store > sign out)
Step 4: Disconnect your iPhone and/or iPad if they are connected to your computer. Then reconnect.

  • Cannot sync music to Phone 4.

Cannot sync music to Phone 4. This is second hand phone given to me recently, but all settings were erased and set up from scratch. I am new to iTunes; I have had no problems syncing to iPad or iPod but cannot copy music to iPhone, presume this should be possible? All music is imported from CD's at present.
I can see iPhone within iTunes on my PC, and when I select music to sync the status bar at bottom of summary page goes partly blue.  I am trying to sync using cable, have turned off Home Sharing and Wifi sync as advised on other posts.  When I click sync, various stages are run through very quickly at top of screen, but nothing actually copies over. When I did same thing on iPad, I could see each track being copied.
Getting very frustrated with iTunes, surely it should not be so difficult just to copy over some music?
    Would appreciate any help.

He wants to keep his friends apps, videos and music while adding his own.
iPhones sync to 1 computer under 1 iTunes account.
All apps, video and music are tied to an account.
To use your iTunes stuff or purchase stuff in the future, you will have to restore wipe your friends stuff off the phone, associate it with your iTunes id.

  • Cannot load music to iPad. there are no devices listed

cannot load music to iPad. there are no devices listed

Thank you. Thank you. Now my IPod shows up in devices and has synced. Thank you!!!!!!!!
Problem still exists in that I just imported a lot of my cd's into my ITunes library in ACC format but the IPod will not sync the new stuff. I've checked that the IPod has the latest software and recently updated to the newest version of ITunes. After getting the IPod to sync I get a warning that a lot of files could not be found. They all show up in ITunes and play fine.
Is there a way to identify the location to the IPod where these songs are. They are in the same location as everything else on my external hard drive. I've spent hours trying to resolve this and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks again.

  • HT1766 I cannot sync my new iPad

I cannot sync my New iPad ... Always stuck at step 2 .. Please help

I'll give your suggestion a try. It's strange I only have a small portion of my iTunes libary on my iPad. I understand that the free music may not appear, I would just like all of iTunes music there.
    Merry Christmas. ASCwes

  • Resolved - iTunes cannot sync apps to iPad "ipadName" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined.

    Current setup
    - Dell Destop running Windows XP SP3
    - iTunes 10.5 as of 11/02/2011
    - iPad 2 iOS 5.0 as of 11/02/2011
I recently got the error message iTunes cannot sync apps to iPad "ipadName" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined.  I had already upgrade the iPad to iOS 5.0 several weeks ago and had no issues.  I had also sync'f many many times in the past with no issues.
I was able to sync on Sunday and then "All of a sudden", I could not sync on Monday.  Tried closing out all my apps on the iPad, that didn't help.  Tried restarted my desktop and the iPad and then sync, that didn't help.  Tried logging into my AppleID account via iTunes and iPad to see if that would clear up anything in the background, that didn't help.  I also couldn't really find anything on the web that helped.
Come Monday, I decided to just delete the apps from iPad manually and go about it that way.  When I tried to delete the app, it did not give me the (x) option to delete. Weird?  Did a quick search online and someone suggested that the Restriction to delete apps was OFF.  DING, DING, that was it.  Checked my settings and sure nough, I had made that change late on Sunday.  Enabled the ability to delte my apps and was able to delete my apps.  Then I thought, would this also fix my sync issue?
Crossed my fingers and attempted to sync my iPad in iTunes and like Emeril Says "Bam"!  I was able to sync my iPad once again without having to reset my iPad, etc.
I hope this helps many of you save several hours.  I also think that Apple should add additional verbage to that message such as check that you are not restricting the deletion of apps or something like that.

Based on an online post, I tried the following and it worked for me:
    1. Windows 7: Control panel > Device Manager
    2. Right click my PC's name > "scan for hardware changes"
    3. Restart iTunes
    4. Restart IPad
    5. Connect IPad
    6. Still I got the same error
    7. Restart iTunes
    8. Restart IPad
    9. Connect IPad
    10. It worked and I was able to sync the apps!!
Prior to this I had removed few apps, not sure that was a trigger.
    System: IPad 1, IOS 5.x

You can only sync with one computer. I would backup to one computer and then restore from backup.

  • Cannot sync music to iPhone 5 and iPad Mini in iTunes 11

As you can see above, I'm having this annoying problem.
At first this issue was just with my iPad Mini, but now it's happening with my iPhone 5.
For some reason, it cannot sync all of my music.  All it's doing is just getting stuck at the last step (either "waiting for changes to be applied" or "waiting for items to copy")
Could someone help me out here?

I have tried repeatedly with no success.  I select sync music then selected playlist, albums, artists, and so forth. Nothing happens.  Why?

  • Ipad cannot sync music from itunes

My Ipad 3rd generation can't sync music from itunes after i downloaded IOS 7. Can anyone tell me why?

With your iPad connected to your computer, select the music tab.  Is "Sync Music" checked?  If not, select the box, then choose either all content, or selected etc..  Keep in mind that you can only sync your iPad with one iTunes library at a time.  Trying it from multiple notebooks lead me to assume that you don't have the Sync music option checked.
    hope this helps.

Did you try and choose Restart instead?  You may need to uninstall and re-install it using the instructions in this Apple support document.
