Cannot sync my iphone from itunes with app got from apple store
Hello everyone, I wonder if someone can help me...
I dwonloaded a free app from the apple store.
My computer is authorized to do thisbut it keep on saying that it's not authorized and in order to transfer the app to the iphone I have to authorize it. Which I do and then I get the window with something like "with this computer you have 2 computers authorized". But when I try and sync the app, it comes again "your computer is not authorized.....".
One minute it's authorized and the next minute it's not...
I also followed the website instructions deauthorizing several times and in the end authorise it.
The computer - even when it says it's authorised - can't seam to sync the application...
Anyone????

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer. -
How do you sync your IPhone's ICalendar with the ICalendar from your mac?
I am having trouble figuring out how to export the calendar on my computer (a mac) with the calendar on my IPhone 4. When I plug in my IPhone to the computer, it does not show up as an option to export on the ICalendar.
You don't need to export.
Connect your iPhone to Mac's iTunes
Select your iPhone in iTunes under DEVICES
Choose the Info tab
Select Sync iCal Calendar. (CHECKED)
Click Sync button bottom right, done. -
I thought I was locked out because I'd not yet updated the phone to version 8.0. But running the update that did not help. Closed iCloud, since I couldn't use it anyway. That did not help, either. My last good sync was 10 days ago. The biggest reason I got this phone was to sync iCal between my computer and phone. I have the current iTunes for this computer, 11.4. I tried purging all my phones iCal calendars to reinstall, but that just left me with one relatively useless calendar (out of my original 7). I am using a cable to connect. Looks like when I install and uninstall apps on my phone, the Mac's iTunes recognizes that. If it helps, the iCal I'm using is 4.0.4.

Every time I sync my iPhone 3GS, iTunes deletes one album from my library.
During sync, I get a warning "Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "XXX," were not copied to the iPhone because they could not be found."
When I check my music library, that one album is missing, and it's not anywhere on my computer anymore. Strangely, it is still on my iPhone.
Fortunately I buy my music from a store that allows limited re-downloads. Once I replace the missing music and sync my phone again, it happens with a different album. If I do not replace the lost album, everything syncs perfectly.
This began as soon as I upgraded to iTunes 10, and it continues even with the 10.0.1 update.Plug your phone up to your computer in itunes... click on devices, then your iphone, at the top of your itunes, beside of summary you will see photos, click on photos... untick or uncheck the albums you don't want on your device then sync... you can do the same for vidoes, music etc...

I am using iphone 3gs with 4.1 software. When I plug in to my computer ( windows7) it shows sincing but it takes forever to sync ..... before I used to sync but maybe after the update?? Please help
Start iTunes on your computer. Use the View menu to view sidebar. Ten connect your phone. It should then appear in the left sidebar of iTunes.

Yes you can just make sure they have diffrent names.

Same problem here with my 3GS
I noticed that my Capacity meter at the bottom of itunes when my iphone is plugged in only gave me 3 items; Audio, Video and Other. No Photos, Apps or Free. Then it was telling me I was over my capacity without even adding anything additional. So I followed the steps mentioned above.
Unable to delete itunes app, just step 6. No step 9 file in OS 10.7
also, using the "Go to Folder" method is a bit out of the way. Just follow the path by double clicking your HD. So much faster. Actually in OS 10.7 the only file you are able to delete is: /System/Library/Extensions - AppleMobileDevice.kext
Downloaded itunes app and installed with no restart and all is well again.

My OS is current and up to date. No problems there.... Intel based iMac, relatively new....
But since i did the upgrade to iTunes 10.5 i cannot sync my iPhone. It's a 3gs. Oddly - my wifes iPhone will load and sync (it is a first gen iPhone, btw).
Neither device is, or evr has been jailbroken. mY iPhone was syncing perfectly until the upgrade to 10.5.Had the same thing happen to me when I tried syncing my iPhone this a.m. - talked to Apple 7 hours ago and evidently there's an "issue" with the iTunes server. The Apple adviser told me to try syncing in an hour. Well, rather than do that, I've continued to check Twitter, searching on "itunes sync" or "itunes server" - seems the problem's still going on.
I'm going to wait it out til tomorrow. Or whenever.
The REASON I was synching is that ever since the iOS 5 "upgrade" photos that were in albums synced from iPhoto had disappeared. Not all the photos, just all the photos in some albums. Weird.
Too many bugs in iOS 5 (syncing, Bluetooth connectivity, etc.). They should have waited til it was right before releasing it. -
I have continuously over the last 6 months struggled with syncing my iphone and ipod with itunes The app continually crashes during the picture import. AND by the way it takes 10-15 minutes before it even attempts to import photos. The screen says importing photoes but doesnt try to optimize or anything for 10 minutes. I have a 3gs with 16Gb so its not a cheap phone. I have 10Gb free. I have 6600 photoes. This is very frustrating and undermines my confidence in your products. My ipod is an ipod 4 with 16Gb also. It does the exact same thing to it. The last time, I had to import photoes a few at the time and with it taking 10-15 minutes each time for 6600 photos it is a long frustrating process. But it will import every photo a few at a time. The error message is just that itunes has stopped working. no hint as to why. AND of course, my phone is out of use for the entire time. You guys must not want to believe ur phones are a necessary tool...or maybe you dont want the consumer to believe it is. I have tried to find solutions on your website as well as through other 3rd party communities. Ultimately they were of no use. I stumbled onto my solution by accident since Im a bit of a computer geek...a semi-geek.

basically whenever I try to sync my ipod touch 4G 64GB it crashes iTunes when it begins the pictures. if im lucky ill get 4-5 on there before it stops responding. its not my system or anything im running win7x64 8GB DDR3 ram (Corsair XMS3) AMD FX Eight core processor.
It is silly that iTunes cannot add pictures to apple devices. it shatters whatever incline I may have to buy apple products. knda like the Airport Extreem router my dad bought the new firmware, caused my router to not function... why release firmware that breaks a product. -_- <-- off topic but still -

...i have Windows XP. I followed the suggestion to turn off and on the iPhone and at least now my iphone appears under Devices in itunes. Now I'm having problems downloading picutres from my laptop to my iphone. this is my first iphone and apple product.

I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

I cannot sync my iPhone with iTunes for Windows. Even if the computer is authorized, it keeps on displaying an error message that tells that this computer is not authorized. I already tried to do the resolutions you have given in case this situation happens.

i cannot sync my iphone music, i had used my i phone on another pc, which died. Ive managed to save the hard drive and transfer stuff across. I ended up smashing my phone and could update all other stuff on restore but cant sync any music. It is all grey at the top of the screen. Ive re installed itunes and cleared all phone data. Now when i bought a song on this computer from the apple store, i have just been sent an email that says Your Apple ID, was just used to purchase (a song ) by a computer that had not been previously associated with that apple id. So do i have to tell apple now somehow i am using itunes on this pc, and if so how? Because i authorised it and it said this pc was one of 5 aujthorised. if anyone can be of assistance then great!
I'm having a similar problem. I had previously (over a year ago) purchased 2 episodes of Law & Order. Then about 2 months ago, I purchased the 3rd season of Sons of Anarchy. When I downloaded these episodes to my iPad, about a dozen full seasons of various shows popped up, too. No money was removed from my iTunes account & theses particular shows aren't in my iTunes library on my desktop. I've tried every which way to delete them from my ipad, but can't. I went to the Apple store & they suggested I contact expresslane.apple.com for help. I submitted my problem, via email Friday, as they asked, but have not received any response. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these "phantoms?".
