Cannot  sync notes 'From My pc' on my iPad

I am having difficulty syncing notes with my iPad.  I have an iPhone and this is okay as it has the option to sync 'From My PC' but my iPad doesnt offer this option.  How do I get notes from my PC to my iPad?
Many thanks
Philip

There is no direct work around for these Notes sync problems -- its just not working properly at this time for Mac users -- which is the first time I have EVER seen something work better between iPhone and PC than with iPhone and Mac...
Try doing an iSync>preferences>Reset sync History from iSync in your applications folder and see if that works.
You will get a lot of responses to this of people finding one way or another to work around this -- try them all, because there isn't a single consistent "fix" for notes sync. It just plain old doesn't work right.

I cannot sync music from my iMac to my iPad.
I have tried rebooting my computer, rebooting and iPad, and nothing works.
I'm using an iMac that runs OS X 10.9.1, iTunes 11.1.4 and my iPad Air runs iOS 7.0.4.  Please help!

I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.
    Thanks for the effort

  • Cannot sync Notes FROM my Mac TO my iPhone

I am an experienced Mac user but a new iPhone 3GS owner. I am not able to sync notes TO my phone from my Macbook Pro (w. Leopard 10.5.7). I am able to sync notes FROM my phone TO my Macbook Pro, however. Is there a simple solution to this problem? I have tried changing the synching settings in iTunes to "replace" info on the iPhone with info on my Mac, to no avail..
Thanks in advance for any help.

How can i sync notes created on my mac to my ipad?

By making sure that you have the same settings on both your mac and your ipad for icloud- with the same apple ID for both. Then they should sync automatically.

  • I cannot sync calendars from the iphone to the ipad but works the other way aroung.  Also music not syncing. Everything else seems to sync fine

I am unable to sync my calendars from the iphone 4S to the ipad but the calendars do sync from the ipad to the phone.  Music also does not sync either way.  Everything else seems to be OK.  Anyone have this problem?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
With regard to your music, what exactly are you expecting to happen.

  • Cannot sync notes from MacBook Pro w/Mavericks

I've had no problems sharing Notes info between my MacBook Pro and iCloud until just recently.  Now the Notes app on my MacBook Pro will not connect with iCloud.  My other devices, iMac, iPhone, and iPad, all communicate with iCloud, but not the MacBook.  When I open Notes in the MacBook it says "updating" which goes on seemingly forever without capturing the notes that I know are in iCloud, as verified by going to icloud.com.  Also, in Mail, when running the Mail Connection Doctor everything connects ok except for iCloud IMAP, which is what Notes uses.  The details posted for the failed connection are
    INITIATING CONNECTION Mar 09 20:32:55.268 [kCFStreamSocketSecurityLevelNone] -- host:p02-imap.mail.me.com -- port:993 -- socket:0x6000002c83b0 -- thread:0x60000146a000
    CONNECTED Mar 09 20:32:55.410 [kCFStreamSocketSecurityLevelNone] -- host:p02-imap.mail.me.com -- port:993 -- socket:0x6000002c83b0 -- thread:0x60000146a000
which seems to indicate that a connection to iCloud via imap is, in fact, made, but yet I get the failed connection red dot, and don't get any download of the Notes data stored in iCloud.  Driving me nuts.  I've tried shutting down Notes, unchecking Notes, restarting the computer in hopes of forcing a connection, all with no luck so far.  Driving me nuts.

OK, thanks for that.  It may indeed may be the problem, but let's check a couple of things first.
    1. On the printer: Setup > Network > Print Network Test.  Is the printer connected to the network?  If it is not:
         a. In the Network menu, Restore Defaults
         b. In the same Network menu, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your network.
    2. On your Mac, download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
         Restart your Mac.
    3. Reset the printing system:
    - Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
    - Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
    - Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • I cannot get "Notes" from IPhone 5.0 to upload or sync with the ICloud

I cannot get "Notes" from IPhone 5.0 to upload or sync with the ICloud?

    Hi there PGMiller,
You may find the information in the article below helpful.
    iCloud: Notes overview

iCloud Notes uses your @icloud.com email account to store your notes. If you don’t have an @icloud.com email address, you can create one by turning on Notes in iCloud preferences on your Mac or in iCloud settings on your iOS device.

  • How to sync Notes from Mac to iPhone?

    Hi.
First up .. is Notes supported in Mavericks as I see no specific forum here?
My question is How to sync Notes from Mac to iPhone?
I have lots of Notes written in the Notes application on my iMac.
All these Notes also appear in my iCloud Notes page via Safari. So far, so good.
BUT if I want to sync Notes to my iPhone (iOS 7) my iPhone settings tells me iPhone Notes is default and that if I turn on Notes on iPhone all my iCloud Notes will be deleted.
HOWEVER, I cannot see a way on my iPhone to set the default Notes to iCloud.
I am unsure if this is a OSX question or an iOS question .. but it is a NOTES question.
If you can help, it would be appreciated. Else I will ignore Notes on iPhone (as it seems from other Forums I cannot delete it).
C'mon Apple .. you are losing the ease-of-use mojo.
    Michael

These are fun, call apple care and ask for a senior advisor, Both Mac and ios can help. But I can't help you on here it's just too detailed. Expect to spend about 30 minutes with a senior advisor.

  • Cannot sync, not enough free space. 'other'is taking up too much space.

cannot sync, not enough free space. 'other'is taking up too much space.  i have no 'other' things on my phone and have never had this problem before. I believe this may have come from upgrading to ios5.

Connect to iTunes, then click the Restore button. When asked, choose to set up as a new phone. After it finishes, right click on the name of the iPhone in the list on the left side of the iTunes window and choose Restore from Backup. Do this BEFORE you sync and after restoring.

  • How do i sync Notes from 4 to 4S or to itunes

how do i sync Notes from 4 to 4S or to Itunes?

You don't sync Notes to Itunes.  But you can sync between 4 and 4s through iCloud.  Make sure your iCloud is activated.  SETTINGS / iCould / Notes turn it ON on both devices.

  • Is there any way to sync notes from iPhone 4 to MacBook Pro?

Is there any way to sync notes from iPhone 4 to MacBook Pro?

If the phone doesn't power on and isn't seen by the computer then you wouldn't be able to pull data off it with the USB connection to your computer.
You could pursue data recovery if the notes are very valuable, but the cost can be similar to having data recovered from a failed computer drive(possibly prohibitively expensive).

  • HT4910 Why can't I sync notes from my iPhone 4S to my ipad mini?

Why can't I sync notes from my iPhone 4S to my ipad mini?

    Hi Drumsing,
As long as you have your iCloud account set up and signed in on both devices, and the Notes checke in iCloud on both devices, there is no reason they should not sync.
Try resetting both devices - Hold down the Hole and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold until the Silver Apple appears. Do that for both, then try Notes again.
P.S., after you write a note, you need to close the App on the device you wrote the note on before you open the app on the other device to see it.....
    Hope this helps,

What must I do to sync my Notes from my iPhone to my iPad and iMac?

Have you set up iCloud on all 3 devices and turned on Notes syncing? On the Mac: Apple Menu > System Preferences > iCloud and put a check mark beside Notes. On the other two, Settings > iCloud and turn Notes on. More info on iCloud setup: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
