Cannot sync Outlook 2007 Calendar with iPhone 4 using iTunes 10 for Windows

I cannot sync my calendars with my iPhone and Outlook. I spent the whole day uninstalling Office and iTunes and reinstalling them, but calendar items still won't sync in either direction. I also deleted and reinstalled the Outlook iTunes addin. I'm not getting any error messages; they just are not syncing.
I am using:
Windows XP Pro
Outlook 2007
iPhone 4
iTunes 10

OK...here's the update. I tried a few more tricks, too numerous to go into and NOTHING worked. I finally downlaoded and installed Companionlink Express and.....presto! I can sync again. 49.95 for the Companionlink software. You would think the BB folks could write (or purchase) a decent piece of software. I purchased the 8330 primarily to help me keep up with my calendar. When that didn't work, I had a $200 dollar cell phone. RIM almost got this one back! By the way, the website is www.companionlink.com.

• How to sync outlook 2007 calendar with Iphone 4?

How do I sync my outlook 2007 calendar with my iphone 4? It used to happen, now it won't work. Thank you.

Howdy there Connie,
If your Outlook 2007 is still not syncing to your phone I would like to recommend the following article to help you troubleshoot the Sync Services between your the two devices, named:
Troubleshooting Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010
First backup your data, THEN proceed with the articles troubleshooting step by step until it is resolved:
Back up your data
Refer to this Microsoft article for steps to back up the data in your PST file used by Microsoft Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2007. This Microsoft article explains where the Microsoft Outlook 2010 data files are located.
For information about backing up the data in your OST file, contact your Exchange Administrator. Your OST file should be on the server and backed up when the server is backed up.
Before troubleshooting, it is recommended that you make a copy of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch backup in a safe place. For more information about where to find the backup and what information it contains, refer to About backups.

• Cannot sync Outlook 2007 Calendar with Alltel BB 8330

OK.....Seems like a lot of folks are having this problem. Here is what I've got
Vista Home Basic SP1
Outlook 2007 (As a component of Office Enterprise 2007)
BB8330 running OS 4.5.0.127
Configured with two email accounts-Default calendar/account is the same as the Outlook account. (I have Groupwise at work...this is not the default account/calendar)
Blackberry DM 4.5
Here's what I've tried....
Uninstalled and re-installed DM countless times
Installing latest version of DM (4.7)
Installing latest version of device OS (4.5?)
Deleting Intellisync folder
Sync only calendar
Running DM as administrator
Deleted all BB calendar entries associated with the Groupwise Email account
Have run scanpst on Outlook and repaired file (it said there were some problems)
First synchronization worked great, the only thing I did between the first and second syncs were change some recurring calendar events and add two events to my calendar associated with the Groupwise account. I have since deleted those Groupwise events and that calendar shows no entries when i look under calendar-options.
Now i get the much discussed "Desktop Manager has stopped working" error when DM begins to process my Outlook calendar. It syncs contacts fine, reads and processes device calendar, then reads 631 Outlook calendar records, begins to process Outlook calendar records and stops immediately. I have to reboot to get DM to attempt to sync again. Here's the log from the Intellisync folder...

This is baffling. I have used a Palm TX for years and was excited about jumping into the BB world. I love the phone but I purchased it primarily for keeping track of my schedule. I am not impressed and have 26 days left on the trial. I hate to take it back to Alltel but its worthless unless I can easily and reliably sync the calendar. Anybody got any answers?

• Can't sync Outlook 2007 Calendar on iPhone 3G, iOS 4, iTunes 9.2, WindowsXP

I did upgrade my iPhone 3G to iOS 4.0 and iTunes to 9.2. Now I can’t sync Outlook 2007 calendar. Contacts and notes are ok.
I did try to sync on Windows XP SP3 and Vista SP2. I was unable to sync calendar on both computers.
I had this problem before with iTunes 9x. I was able to fix it creating a new PST file and copying all folders to this new file.
Now with iOS 4.x and iTunes 9.2 it doesn’t work. I did uninstall iTunes, clear the Windows registry, and delete all Apple folders. I also downloaded again iTunes and install it from zero. It didn’t work at all.
I also uncheck, check, recheck the Advanced options in iTunes to delete, doesn’t synchronize calendars, and contacts on iPhone… nothing works.
What else can I do to fix this pain? Any suggestion?
Daniel

Same problem here. Just bought an iPhone 3GS, downloaded iTunes 9.2 and it crashes my Outlook 2007. Outlook simply stops responding, and I have to kill it. Won't even start in Safe Mode. I have to restart the computer to revive it. Next time I start iTunes -- CRASH!
I bought the iPhone because I wanted to sych my emails, calendars and notes. Do I have to return the iPhone now?

• Best way to sync Outlook 2007 calendar with Exchange on SBS 2003

I currently have Vista and Outlook 2007.
My email, contacts and calendar are all in a OST file, which syncs to our Windows SBS 2003 server and the Exchange installed on it.
How should I configure my iPhone and iTunes, in order to have my calendar in iPhone?
After trying for several times to sync through iTunes without any success (could never have any items imported to the iPhone) I did create an Exchange account on my iPhone with the IP address of our SBS server, and my account details, and now all my items seem to appear (however they all have Accept/Maybe/Refuse buttons).
Is this the correct way? Will I get alarms for my appointments, even if I don't accept them on the iPhone?
Thank you!

OK, I think I figured it out, with Apple's iCloud instructions and a little help from campus tech support. This only applies to people using Outlook with Microsoft Exchange.
Enable iCloud on your computer (running Lion) and your iPhone. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html
Then go to your iPhone's Mail icon, click on Add Account > Microsoft Exchange and enter your login info.
Doing this transferred my work email and calendar to my phone wirelessly.

• Cannot sync Outlook 2007 calendars to iPod Nano

I understand from reading the forums that this is a very common problem. I just downloaded iTunes 9, thinking that iTunes 9 would be able to sync my Outlook calendar to my iPod. It still is not syncing. I get the error message, iTunes cannot sync calendars to the iPod, try logging out of Windows and logging back in.
Is there ANY solution to get everything to sync properly?

In Outlook 2007, if I click on "Tools--Options--Other--Advanced Options--COM Add-Ins", it has "iTunes Out" as an add in with a box next to it to click on. I've clicked on the box to checkmark it. However, when I've gone back to the "COM Add-Ins" box, the "iTunes Out" is ALWAYS unchecked. The COM Add-ins box says that the iTunes option should be loaded at startup. For whatever reason, it's not loading.

• Outlook 2007 calendar with iphone 5 gets one hour difference

Good morning,
I've iPhone 5, windows 7 and Outlook 2007. When I sync the calendar with iTunes everything works fine but then tried to sync whith Icloud the calendar entries on my iPhones everything is one hour later than the ones on my Outlook 2007.
When I create a metting on outlook with the hour correctly on the Icloud and on the Iphone have one hour later.
When I create a meeting in the iphone, the icloud gets the hour correctly but outlook shows it one hour earlier.
I've already checked the GMT setting on both Outlook and Windows, also the iPhone sync with my computer time and GMT when I connect it to the docking station so they are always the same.
Anyone has an idea about what is going wrong?
Thanks for your time.
Kind regards,

• Cannot sync Outlook 2013 calendar with Windows 8 phone

I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 1320 with Windows 8. I have tried to sync the calendar app with my Outlook 2013 calendar (on a Windows 8.1 PC).
I have created a Hotmail account on Outlook and converted my original Outlook calendar to a list before copying it to the Hotmail calendar account, as instructed on various MS web pages (I cannot
enter hyperlinks here, your genius web site won't let me), but nothing appears on my phone. It was actually MUCH easier to sync with my previous Android phone and an iPad - so much for seamless Windows connections.
After wasting many, many hours I noticed that if I
manually enter an appointment in the Hotmail calendar (in Outlook), then it
appears in the phone (and vice versa). However it does not appear for events that I have mass-copied over to the Hotmail account, including recurring events. This flies in the face of what the instructions say. There are far too many future
events for me to re-type, along with the danger that I might miss some. Why doesn't the mass copy (only of future, recurring and
active events) work?
I have wasted way too much time on this and am beginning to deeply regret buying a Windows phone. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks for replying, Mike. I have set up two accounts on the phone, one is my 'normal' email account (non-Microsoft) and the other is my Hotmail account, which appears in Email + Accounts as 'Microsoft Account'. I am now at work (in Australia) and
don't have the phone with me, so I can't be sure of the exact words.
Anyway with the MS account there is only one check box - Email. In my endless trawling through the web I read somewhere that this 'primary' account automatically syncs the Calendar and Contacts, so the additional check boxes are considered redundant
(which seems pretty dumb - a user might not WANT to sync them).
I also set up an additional Hotmail account, which appeared as 'Hotmail 2', and this did have the sync Calendar and Contacts check boxes, but it will wouldn't do the job. I tried deleting the 'primary' account so I could use the secondary account instead
(and force the syncing through those check boxes), but it would not let me.

• Sony PC Companion Crashes Syncing Outlook 2007 Calendar with Google Calender

I'm just setting up my new Xperia S phone and trying to synchronise my Outllok 2007 Calander (Personal Folder) with my new phone. It seems the mechanism is:
1) Run the Sony PC Companion Sync' facility to syncy my Outlook with My Google Calendar.
2) Set up my Xperia to sync its Calendar with the my Google Calendar.
Step 2 is working fine. Calendar entries are moving fine between Google and the Xperia. But step 1 has a problem. The PC Companion tools crashes when it tries to sync Outlook to Google Calendar. The problem appears to be the Google side of the process. The following a screen dump immediately before the crash. The tool seems to successfully read the Outlook Calendar but crashes immediately after this point. I assume it crashes trying to access Google Calendar.
The following wondow is displayed:
Then:
Some questions.
1) Am I going about the Outlook - Xperia synchronisation the best way?
2) What going on the PC Companion? Does it have a serious problem. (I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit with all the latest patches.) It just crashes and burns. No error messages. Nothing. The Xperia does seem to have any problem with Google Calendar.
Thanksto anyone who can get this interface working.

Have you tried to reinstall PC Companion? Please try this if you have not.
Also check so you do not have any fire wall, anti-virus program or similar blocking PC Companion.
If you still have a problem after all this I would suggest you export the calendar data manually and then import it to your Google account (not using PC Companion at all in other words).

• Syncing Outlook 2010 Calendar with iPhone 4

I'm trying to sync my calendar in outlook with the phone.
When I go into Itunes > the "Info" tab for my phone and checkmark Sync Calendar with Outlook and hit apply I get a pop up that says
" Are you sure you want to remove 53 apps, inlcuding....from the iPhone? This will delete these apps and their data from the iPhone"y
Obviously I don't want to delete the apps or have to re-install them. Is there something I'm missing? Anything I can do to prevent deleting apps just to sync a calendar?
Thanks!

Have you transferred your purchases from the iPhone to the computer? If the apps are on the computer, while they will be deleted from the iPhone, they will be added right back. This is what happens if you have never synced with the computer before and change settings.

• Sync Outlook 2007 calendar with iOS calendar via iCloud

I've succesfuly configured iCloud and I see the icon and option to sync online my Outlook calendar... but to sync, the only available choice is to MOVE the appointments from Outlook calendar to iCloud calendar... is there any way to COPY them instead? Moving means that these dissapear from Outlook, therefore the timeslot shows available now, to anyone who tries to book a new appointment though Outlook...
Many thanks!

• Sync Outlook 2007 Calendar

In the Outlook contacts, when you put the birthday on "John" contact it automatically creates a entry on calendar with the name "John's Birhday".
Now when you sync your outlook 2007 calendar with iphone, those "john's Birthday" entries does not appear on IPhone.
Does anyone knows why ?

I am so angry with Apple I could scream!
I bought the first iPhone the day it came out and spent a month, and more hours than I care to remember, working with the Apple technicians before they finally got the phone to synch with Outlook, as it was advertised to do.
Apple does not adequately test their products, especially software, before shipping it. We got the phones the same day at their technical support people.
And now with the new 2.0 software release, the SAME PROBLEM is back!!! The same frustrated users trying to get the product to work as advertised with the same software bugs!!
I currently on hold waiting to ask the technical support people to let me download the old software until they fix the bugs and get this working.
I love this phone, but I will never buy another Apple product or download another Apple software program without waiting for months for the early adopters to spend all of their free time debugging Apple products for them.
BTW, the problem for most of us caused by the inability for the iTunes add in to load in Outlook. In Outlook 2007 go to : Tools : Trust Center : Addins . There should be an iTunes add in that allows the programs to sync.

• Microsolft 2003 calendar not syncing with iphone (using itunes)

Basics: I have Win XP Pro, I use Microsoft 2003, I have an iphone 3G, and I sync my contacts, calendar, and notes using itunes 9.0.3. I don't use Outlook mail and don't sync using MS Exchange -- I just connect my iphone to the computer using a usb and sync with itunes.
Up until a week or two ago, I had no problems syncing. Now, while contacts and notes syncs fine, calendar does not sync at all (in either direction), even though itunes says it's "syncing calendar". I know this is not new (I see many posts about this), and I have scoured the discussion pages for advice already and tried everything I could. I looked at the following apple troubleshooting page and tried everything there: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1692. Specifically, this is what I have already done and nothing has worked:
* I uninstalled the newest version of itunes (as well as quick time, bonjour, and the other software components that apple recommended I uninstall) and reinstalled 9.0.3
* I uninstalled my Outlook 2003 and reinstalled
* From itunes preferences, under devices, I "reset sync history" (and I have continued to do this before syncing after I try something new)
* From itunes help, I ran "diagnostics" for "iphone sync tests" and no problems were noted. I have done this several times.
* From within Outlook help, I ran "detect and repair" and no problems were noted
* From within Outlook tools and advanced options, I clicked the "COM add-ins" button and removed 3rd party software
HOWEVER...the apple troubleshooting page referenced above suggested syncing content in a new user window, and that DID work! Moreover, when I copied my original Outlook.pst file to the new user account, the trouble starts again and no calendar syncing. And to continue the test, when I remove the original Outlook.pst and put back the new Outlook.pst file in the new user window, it works again. And for the final test, when I copy the new user Outlook.pst file to my main/real user account, the sync works perfectly. All this indicates the original Outlook.pst file is corrupted.
HOWEVER, Apple offers NO advice as to what to do next. The following is quoted from their troubleshooting page:
"Once you are logged into the new user account, create a few test contacts and/or calendar events in your compatible application of choice and attempt to sync that data to your iPhone or iPod touch. Does this newly created data sync properly? If so, you likely have an issue with your content in the original user which you will need to isolate."
Sooooo...what to do now? How do I "isolate" the problem any further?
Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

After fiddling a little more, the following fixed my corrupted outlook.pst file:
1) I made a backup
2) In outlook under file, I exported the calendar to excel
3) In outlook under file, I imported the calendar back to outlook
And voila, it worked.

I have an Ipod Nano and am having an issue with syncing my Outlook 2007 calendar. I am running under Windows Vista. I do get the following error but cannot seem to find a way around it.
"Itunes cannot sync calendar to the Ipod administrator. Try logging out of Windows and then back in"
