Cannot sync photos from Treo 755p to desktop

I seem to be able to get everything but the photos from the phone.    I have tried the HOTSYNC-CUSTOM-MEDIA settings and nothing.   HELP!    The reason I need to get the photos off is I have to do a hard reset in order to take care of a different performance problem.

Hello!
Performance issues and cannot sync media, hmm how much free space you have left on the phone?  If you have a memory card, can always move them to the card and then do that hard reset.

  • Cannot sync photos from iPad to PC after re-install of PC

I had to re-install my PC, now I have problems getting all of my photos from my iPad to PC.  I can only sync the Camera Roll photos.  I have a lot more photos in a lot of other folders that i cannot sync to the PC.

If the photos were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page then your computer should see them and be able to copy them off : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer. If it it's this type of photo that you are trying to copy off, then have you not got a backup copy of them on, for example, an external drive ?

  • Cannot sync photos from Aperture using iTunes

Yesterday I took 16 photos using a Canon 5D Mark III and uploaded them into Aperture and created a new project to hold them. The I wanted to transfer them into my iPhone so I went to iTunes, connected the iPhone via USB cable and in the left hand side bar under Photos I clicked "Sync Photos", selected "Chose photos from Aperture" and "Events from the last 3 months" and in the events list that appears below, the new project appears checked. The I clicked on Sync and left the iPhone and the MBP connected overnight and it stayed in Step 7 of 7 Importing Photos....
Any ideas on why I have not been able to import that project from Aperture into the iPhone using iTunes?

Make sure everything is installed and up to date...
    iTunes

Also, try syncing from a different folder with photos. See if that one works.
Finally, see if this works/applies/gets you anywhere...

  • Cannot sync photos from Photos app

After the recent upgrades and moving my photos library from Aperture to the new Photos app, I can no longer sync photos to my phone using iTunes. I can sync from Aperture, but Photos is not offered as a sync choice.

    Photos is not an option
and if I choose folder, the Photo app and my photo library are greyed out

  • ITunes cannot sync photos from iPhoto because of same filename

I have 2 iPhones that both import into a single iMac using iPhoto with a shared library (i.e., two user accounts accessing the same iPhoto library in the Shared folder). The iPhones are set to sync the last 5 Events from iPhoto, however it fails to do so with certain pictures stating "Some of your photos, including the photo “IMG_0513.JPG”, were not copied to the iPad “My iPad” because they cannot be displayed on your iPad". I think I have determined that the problem is that both iPhones are naming various pictures with the same filenames since the naming is simply sequential.  Therefore, both iPhone have images named IMG_513.JPG, for example, even though they are different images and though iPhoto doesn't have a problem with that the iPhone and iPad do. My current solution is to have iPhoto duplicate the photos that won't sync (I assume this creates another file with a 2 affixed to it) and delete the original.  It's a pain to do that, but I haven't found any other way to change the filenames once they've been imported or change how the iPhone name the photos when they're taken.  Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem.  I have over 5000 photos in my iPhoto Library.  I have used several different cameras over the years, so I have some duplicate file names...IMG_XXXX.  This has never been a problem before.  But, I am trying to sync to my brand new iPad 2.  I have been able to transfer about 1200 photos, but I get  the same warning that you get.
There is no option to skip the problem photo(s) and keep sync going.  It just stops.
Looking for a little help here?

  • I cannot sync photos from Iphone to Vista

I have a 3g Iphone and have over 500 pics on there. I sync every week with itunes libary but in the 12 months I have had this it's never synced pictures I have take on the phone, I can sync pics the opposite way from laptop to Iphone but not the way around that I want too. Any suggestions?

The pics taken with iphone are not part of the sync process at all, as the manual explains.
You should be importing these pics regularly as you would with any digital camera.

  • Cannot sync photos from Adobe Photoshop Album anymore

    Dear Everybody,
I recently upgraded my computer and had to reinstall it altogether. I ended up with the foloowing configuration:
    WinXP pro SP2
    iTunes 7.2.0.35
    Quicktime 7.1.6
    Adobe Photoshop Album 3.2
As you may have guessed, I use Photoshop Album to organize my digital photos and up to now I was able to sync specific collections with my iPod. Unfortunately this is not the case since I upgraded, after iTunes complained that it could not find my photo software.
I tried reinstalling everything and restoring my iPod without success, now I am desperate for help!
Does anyone have a similar experience or even better, a solution??
    Many thanks in advance,
    Yann

Just to point out that this will not work for raw files, since Adobe for some reason decided against using XMP sidecar files for the organizer, the way they do for PE/mac, bridge, etc.

  • Cannot sync photos FROM iPhone...

It's ridiculous. It seems there is no way I can get photos taken on the iPhone onto my computer. Bluetooth functionality is limited to headsets only, syncing via iTunes means you can only UPLOAD your iPhoto library and not RETRIEVE photos taken on the iPhone, and it appears not to support MMS... and I don't want an email account just yet. Surely such a basic procedure is possible. If not - then what the **** were Apple thinking?

Photos taken on the iPhone get synched to iPhoto, not iTunes. After connecting the iPhone and launching iPhoto your iPhone should be displayed as a digital camera device.

  • Cannot sync photos with my iphone

I cannot sync photos from my MacbookPro with my iphone 4s, can anyone explain why and how i solve this problem?
    Thanks,

You connected it with the usb cable? iTunes launched? iPhoto launched?

Don't know who KRCS is but that says alot about not buying Mac products there. Is there an Apple store near you?

  • I cannot drag photos from iPhoto to desktop with iMac and Mavericks OS

It sounds as if you have a permissions issue with your Home folder.  Try this method posted by Linc Davis:

Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR..; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_; chmod -R -N ~ $_; } 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.

  • Unable to sync photos from iPhoto

Got an 8GB iPod Touch yesterday. I can sync everything except my photos from iPhoto. When I go to the Photo tab in iTunes, I place a tick in the check-box that says "Sync photos from:" and then I select iPhoto from the Combo-box. There are 2 radio buttons but only "All photos and albums" is available... "Selected Albums" is greyed out. The box below the radio buttons is also grey and has no entries.
If I try to sync "All photos and albums" I get an error message on my computer that reads: "The iPod [iPod name] cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)."
Software updates have all been applied, I have restored my iPod, have verified and fixed file permissions, etc. I have rebuilt the iPhoto library (Command-Option). Both iTunes and iPhoto have been working fine, with no other problems. I am using iLife '08 so I am using iPhoto '08 (version 7.1 (347)).
Has anyone any experience with the problem? I'm thinking that my next step is to reinstall iPhoto/iTunes but I would much rather not have to do that... any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Bill
P.S. I can sync photos from my desktop, just not from iPhoto '08.
P.P.S. My 5th gen video iPod can sync photos from my iPhoto library!

    Hi Damon,
Thanks for the update and the suggestion of trying a new user account... I don't know why that didn't occur to me. Well, you will not be too surprised to hear that with a new user account the photos synced no problem.
That leaves me with an iPhoto library rebuild on my hands. The Apple provided rebuild didn't resolve my issue when I tried it last week. So I will need to do a manual rebuild... something which I have done once before but vowed never to do again as I lost hundreds of hours of work organising and tagging my photos... something which I have invested considerable time in recovering and don't want to lose them again.
With Leopard around the corner, I will be performing a clean install of the new OS on a fresh HDD within the month, so I am going to recreate my iPhoto library that way... rather than invest time now only to see it wasted later.
Thanks once again for the pointers to those Apple docs... most useful.
    Kind regards,
    William

  • Cannot sync photos "iPhoto library is not yet available"

When syncing iPhone 5s to iMac running Yosemite and get the following error:
"iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone "iPhone" because your iPhoto library is not yet available. Please try again later."
This phone has been syncing with iPhoto for some time now. This is a new one to me.
Tried rebooting the phone and the desktop machine, same result.
Interestingly, in iTunes when selecting the "photos" page all I get is the spinning circle for the iPhone, the other selections, Summary, Apps, etc., all load fine.
The same situation is true for the iPad mini, the photo page never loads. I have not attempted to sync the iPad since this error appeared.
    Anyone familiar with this error?
This mac has had the "iPod" cache folder deleted in past months to clear another sync error, but had been syncing fine since then.
    iTunes version 12.1.050
    Thanks!

    @CookieDuster
We going to run a test and see if if this solution works.  Lets try
    On your super cool imac:
go to system preferences>users & group>create a new account and name it test (make sure you set it as an admin account)
get an external hd and plug it in
next go to finder>pictures>and copy iphoto library that is located there and put in the external hd
now log into the test account
transfer the iphoto library from external to pictures folder.  if you see the same file there, do not worry you are just overwriting it.
once that complete, I would like for you to test your iphone and see if it syncs over.
    Thanks!

  • Cannot delete photos from iPod touch

I cannot delete photos from my ipod touch. There is no delete button.  help

Why did Apple program it to function this way?! I synced photos from my computer to my iPod. I threw away my old computer when I bought a Macbook Pro. I want to delete my previously synced photos from my old computer. How can I unsynced the photos now? Can I ask Apple to allow synced photos to be deleted? Can I also ask Apple to allow me to add more photos on my iPod to the album of synced photos?
