Cannot sync pics from iPhone

Hello,
I have a Macbook pro and an iPhone.
I take pics on my iPhone that I want to see on my Mac.
This has been a nightmare! I do not necessarily have an internet connection to sync using iCloud or Photostream. I don't care for photostream.
I cannot find the iPhone icon on my Mac. All I want to do is open the iPhone icon on my mac and transfer the pics.
This is basic functionality I could have done with a $10 phone with an SD card.
What is this!!?
I hope Apple is reading these boards and take note!!

Can you access the images on the phone with Image Capture (in the Applications Folder) ?

  • Cannot sync ical from iphone to my mac pro

    Hi All
I have tried all sorts and although I ticked the relevant boxes on itunes, I cannot transfer (sync) ical info from iphone to my mac.
I have no info on my mac i cal, everything else like contacts seem to sync no problem!
I have tried using isync instead of itunes as some folk recommended but without any success.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks for your help

Before syncing calendar events with an empty supported calendar app on your computer, you need to enter one calendar event in the supported calendar app on your computer - in this case in iCal on your Mac. Make this calendar event up if needed, which can be deleted later.
If there are any calendar events available on your iPhone, this should provide a merge prompt with this first sync for this data, which you want to select.

iSync can't be used to sync anything with an iPhone. iSync can be used to reset the sync history on your Mac, which is done via iSync preferences.

  • I cannot sync photos from Iphone to Vista

I have a 3g Iphone and have over 500 pics on there. I sync every week with itunes libary but in the 12 months I have had this it's never synced pictures I have take on the phone, I can sync pics the opposite way from laptop to Iphone but not the way around that I want too. Any suggestions?

The pics taken with iphone are not part of the sync process at all, as the manual explains.
You should be importing these pics regularly as you would with any digital camera.

  • I cannot sync music from iphone 4s to iCloud nor iPhone 5s either

I have a lot of music in my iPhone 4s.  iTunes only shows the buyed ones.  How can I sync music from 4s to 5s?

You don't sync from one iphone to another.
You sync both to your computer.
All of your music should be on your computer.  If it is not, then put it there.
You can then sync to any of your idevices you like.

I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.
    Thanks for the effort

  • I cannot sync contacts from Iphone to Imac

I am syncing my Iphone 4s to my new Imac and my contacts arent showing up anywhere? What am I doing wrong?

Have you chosen to sync Contacts in iTunes?  If your contacts are not showing up in the Address Book on whatever Mac you're using, the obvious thing to check is the sync in iTunes.  Be careful to make sure that you sync from the phone to the computer and not vice versa.
Just to be safe you might backup the phone to iCloud first so that your contacts will be in the iCloud.  Use this for instructions:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4859

  • HT1751 Cannot sync music from iPhone to iTunes

Loaded iTunes on a brand new laptop and used existing iPhone 5 to transfer all music, apps., etc. to new iTunes program.  Much (not all) of my iPhone music is mysteriously missing from iTunes and does not seem to want to transfer over no matter what I do.  Help.

  • Cannot upload pics from iPhone 4S to iPhoto!

When I connect iPhone 4S to MBP it fails to open iPhoto and device does not show up anywhere so that I can import pictures from the iPhone.

Is iPhoto set to open when a device is attached?

  • Cannot sync photos FROM iPhone...

It's ridiculous. It seems there is no way I can get photos taken on the iPhone onto my computer. Bluetooth functionality is limited to headsets only, syncing via iTunes means you can only UPLOAD your iPhoto library and not RETRIEVE photos taken on the iPhone, and it appears not to support MMS... and I don't want an email account just yet. Surely such a basic procedure is possible. If not - then what the **** were Apple thinking?

Photos taken on the iPhone get synched to iPhoto, not iTunes. After connecting the iPhone and launching iPhoto your iPhone should be displayed as a digital camera device.

  • I cannot get "Notes" from IPhone 5.0 to upload or sync with the ICloud

I cannot get "Notes" from IPhone 5.0 to upload or sync with the ICloud?

    Hi there PGMiller,
You may find the information in the article below helpful.

iCloud Notes uses your @icloud.com email account to store your notes. If you don’t have an @icloud.com email address, you can create one by turning on Notes in iCloud preferences on your Mac or in iCloud settings on your iOS device.

Hi I want to back up my photos from my iPhone 5. How can I do this? I have an iPad mini but cannot sync to an iPhone as iPad does not have USB port. Can you help please

You have to back them up to a computer. You would import them either to iPhoto or to the Photos app in your PC:
