Cannot sync purchases ringtone

Hi all,
In iTunes, I purchased a ringtone from the "100 Most populate ringtones", then:
1. I saw the ringtone in the Music section of iTunes (not in the Ringtones section)
2. I clicked on the ringtone name in the Music section
3. I selected Store->Create Ringtone
4. The following error message appears:
iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (11556). Make sure your network connection is active and try again.
The Internet connection is there and working fine.
How can I resolved the issue?
My God,, I've working for two hours on this issue. Had I known I'd suffer from that much, I wouldn't have purchased this killing ringtone.

iPhone support are saying: you cannot edit a music in iTunes to create a ringtone and sync it to iPhone unless you are in US. If you want to purchase a ringtone, do it directly from iPhone.. not through iTunes!!
So, why you let me purchase it in first place!!!

Cannot sync my ringtones!

Hello everyone,
I'm having this problem that I cannot sync my ringtones from my mac to the iPhone.
I have a total of 9 tones , 6 of which I've downloaded from the web and three purchased from the iTunes store. iTunes is having a problem syncing those to the iPhone. It shows me a message on the phone that iTunes couldn't sync three tones. I can see them in the ringtones section but they just can't transfer.
How can I transfer them?

Can you play the tones in iTunes? Were they purchased from iTunes or did you make them yourself?
Try unchecking sync ringtones, syncing, and then checking sync ringtones again, like suggested here ->

If you have copies of them on your computer's iTunes then you should be able to - if they show in the Tones part of your iTunes library then you should be able to sync them to your new phone. Or do you not have copies of them on your computer nor on your backup of your library ?

When you go into your iPhone Settings>Sounds>Ringtones...what do you see? On mine...I have a list of "Purchased", "Custom" and "Standard". Do you have that?

Syncing Purchased Ringtones thru work comp

I have two computers my phone regularly gets used on: my home (my main computer) and my work computer.
Since I no longer have internet on my home computer, I have been downloading apps and putting them on my phone at work. They sync without any problem. I downloaded a song and a ringtone today and it mentions my phone is synced to another library and asks if I want to erase it and sync with my work library.
questions:
1. If I just select sync ringtones will it still erase my music?
2. Why can't I sync with my work computer if the phone is the same and my log-in is the same?
3. Will I be able to access my purchased ringtone on another computer ever?
4. How can I get my purchased ringtone on my phone without losing everything?

I have a problem ~ I have an iPhone 3G and I use my Macbook to sync the applications I purchased from iTunes using this computer. My Macbook crashed and I had to replace my HD with a new one. So all my applications in that computer are now gone (cause hahaha, I didn't back it up) Anyway, I also have an iMac in that computer I have my music and videos that I sync my iPod video to. (I have a Time Machine to back up my data in that computer) Now this is my problem:
1. Can I download the same applications I bought using the same account into my iMac? I hope I don't get charged for them cause I've spent about US$300 buying program for my language lessons there.
2. Will my address book get erased if I sync my iPhone to my iMac?
I am asking this because I've tried syncing my iPhone to my Macbook it only gets the photos in my iPhone to go to iPhoto but it doesn't want to appear in my iTunes. And finally, I just want to do everything in my iMac cause I have a back up there in case something happens again. In other words, I am thinking that if I can download the applications I bought there at no charge and if my address book in my iPhone won't get deleted. I am considering reformatting my entire iPhone since I want to download the application I bought in my iMac anyway. If not, I won't be able to buy new applications from iTunes and just update what I have in my iPhone using wi-fi and I don't want that. I want the option to install/uninstall any application I want depending on my mood. Oh I forgot to mention that I have the same account in my iMac but it only recognizes my iPod video. It also doesn't want to read my iPhone. But I get a warning that I already have registered that user name in 3 computers. One is my iMac and two from my Macbook meaning the one that crashed and the same computer with a new hard drive.
To summarize, I just want to know if I can DL the same applications without being charged and if my address book won't get lost if I sync my iPhone to the iMac (hopefully, my iMac gets to read my iPhone). Thanks in advance. I hope the way I shared my story isn't so confusing.

Cannot sync purchased tones to iPhone 5

The first time I synced my iPhone 5 to my PC, it erased all of my purhased tones on iTunes, leaving only 2. I checked my purchase history hoping I could download them again from the cloud, with no luck. I bought my favorite one again out of desperation; iTunes popped up a warning saying I had already purchased this tone, was I sure I wanted to proceed. I said yes out of frustration. Well, I thought I was going to be able to keep at least it this time, but of course it happened again when I synced the phone again. Well, it at least shows up this time, but I CANNOT sync it to save my life. In the "on this phone" section of iTunes, it shows it in the tones section, but with an exclamation point by it. It will not play that particular tone, but it will my other 2.
Is there anyway to sync it, and, even better, get all of my old purchases back as well? I bought them all on my old 3GS, but lost them the first time I synced my new iPhone 5. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

THis has happened to me. I went to the Genius Bar and they had no ideas - it could be my iMac, iTunes or the iPhone - which doesn't help

I'm having difficulty getting my purchased ringtones to show up in my ringtone file so that I may use. Any suggestions?

Where did you get the ringtones?
The ONLY place to get ready made ringtones is from the ringtones section( not music) of the itunes store on the iphone itself.
If they are not under "Ringtones" under "Library" in itunes, then they are not ringtones.
If you bought them from your computer or the music section of your iphone, then you need to create the ringtones.
Have you created the ringtones?
There are several ways to do this. Google will find them.
I prefer Garageband.

I purchased a few ringtones prior to updating to 4.0 and even though I see it on iTunes and able to select it to "sync" to my iPhone, it won't transfer it to my iphone. Anyone know how to fix this?

Since upgrading to the new OS this morning, I have been unable to load iTunes Store purchased movies to my iPad. In fact, after I loaded the new system, I lost all of the movies on my iPad. It did allow the movies that I've ripped from my collection into iTunes to stay on the iPad. Any suggestions?

Are the movies still in iTunes on the Mac - if they are sync them again. Make sure that they are selected to sync and that the sync movies heading is selected as well.
If the movies are in iTunes and you already tried to sync them with no success - Are you using the same Apple ID on the iPad that you are using in iTunes on the Mac and would that be the ID that you bought the movies with?
If you live in the U.S., many movies can now be downloaded again from iTunes at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID that you used to buy the movies. You can download them again in the purchased tab of the iTunes Store on the iPad - tap on the View Movies Button in the upper left corner and your purchased movies will appear. Tap on the cloud icon to download them again.
You can also download them again in iTunes on the Mac and sync them back to the iPad.

Cannot sync purchased app

My boyfriend bought me a game from the App store but using my iPhone with HIS Apple ID and password. Now when I try to sync this particular app, it says "The purchased item *** on the iPhone *** could not be transferred on your iTunes library because you are not authorised for it on this computer. To authorise this computer for items purchased from the iTunes store, choose Store > Authorise This Computer".
So I clicked OK and did exactly this, only to find out that "This computer is already authorised".
And when I went back to sync this app again, it still did not work, giving me the same pop up as before, saying that it could not be transferred to my iTunes.
Can someone please help? Obviously if I had to get a new phone for whatever reason, I would want to be able to sync all my apps, including this game that my boyfriend bought for me using my handset.

Hey, thanks for your answer. That makes sense, we'll try it tomorrow. Will he still be able to "Gift" me this app even though he has already purchased it, and in essence used it on his own account? Surely the Gifting is meant to be done pre-purchase?

Cannot Sync Purchased Music

Title pretty much says it all.
The things I've purchased show up in "Purchased" under "Store" in iTunes. The computer has been authorized on the account and I can play the music through my Mac as well as on my iPod.
When I tell iPhone to sync the "purchased" playlist, nothing happens. If I make a new playlist from my purhcased music, nothing happens when it syncs either.
C'mon Apple...SEVERAL posts that have this same problem and NO help anywhere. What gives???

OK, my own stupidity here. Make sure you don't have "Only sync checked items" under the "Info" tab selected.
It will only sync songs (I guess) that are checked not the actual items in the tabs.

System Rebuild - Cannot sync purchased songs with IPOD

I recently had to rebuild my laptop, starting with the OS (Yes, it is a Windows machine . Before I did this, I copied all of my songs out of my music folder onto an external drive.
I thought that is what I would need to do. But I sense that there is more to it.
Upon rebuild, I copied all of those songs into the new my music folder. When I opened Itunes...they were all there. All 1233 of them. However, after syncing with my IPOD...it would only sync the songs that came from CD. All that were purchased are not on my IPOD. They remain in my itunes folder.
Does anyone know what I need to do? We are talking approximately 350 songs that I have purchased on Itunes...so it is substantive.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you reauthorise your PC after you restored Windows and reloaded iTunes? Do the songs themselves play in iTunes? For more on authorising have a look at this page:

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?
