Cannot sync tv series to iPad

Hi,
I bought some TV Series on ITunes and a movie. Unortunately i cannot synchronise them on my ipad. Lion installed, last version of Itunes... All the rest of my library works fine (apps, books, music). Only videos bought on iTunes.
I have spent hours on it, including with Apple Care. Remains a mistery.
Any idea would be welcome.

Hello Say What.
So what are you trying to sync, or what isn't syncing?
Is your iMac giving you any sort of error message when you try to sync?
It sounds like you are possibly signed into two different Apple IDs, and they aren't allowing you to sync your device.

    I'm sorry about your loss.
    Are you trying to recover data from this iPad, or to set it up as new (erase everything on it, and simply use the iPad as if it were brand new as your new iPad)?
    If the latter, you can place the iPad into recovery mode as shown here.  You may have to try this several times:
    iOS: Unable to update or restore

  • I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."

    I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."
    I wiped it out and restored from backup but I am still getting the same message.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and that fixed it. Here are the specific instructions that I was given.
    ~~~
    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
    Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
    it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
    Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
    Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch
    when syncing my ipad I get the message 'iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "..." because the apps installed on the ipad could not be determined'; what does this mean?
    I'm pretty sure it's a bug in either iOS 6 or iTunes 10.7.  I kept getting it until I quit iTunes and re-ran it again.  I then started sync from the iPad itself.
  • Error message: itunes cannot sync apps to the iPad because the apps installed on the ipad could not be detected
    I received this message: "itunes cannot sync apps to the iPad because the apps installed on the ipad could not be detected" when trying to sync my ipad via usb with my windows PC - after the iPad applications failed to update when I selected 'Update All' in IOS6.
    Disconnect and restart the computer and reset the iPad:
    Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
  • ITunes returns Error Message cannot sync apps installed on iPad because the apps installed could not be determined
    Hello,
    I have been trying to fix this problem with no success for awhile. When I try and backup and sync my iPad Air iOS 7.1.1 iTunes keeps returning the error message
    " iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined"  iTunes is current with all updates and is running on a MacBook Pro 8,3 running OS X 10.9.3.
    Hi RayCanada,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!  I'm not sure what steps you have taken so far to troubleshoot this issue, but I have a couple of suggestions for you to try.  The first thing I would suggest is to quit all apps and sign out of the iTunes Store on your iPad, disconnect it from your Macbook Pro, and turn it off.    Then restart your Macbook Pro.
    iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    iOS: Sign in with a different Apple ID in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311?viewlocale=en_US
    Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
    Tap your Apple ID.
    Tap Sign Out.
    Turn your iPad Air on, and sign into your iTunes Store account using the same Apple ID you used to purchase the apps.  Connect it to the MacBook Pro using the Apple USB cable that it came with.  Try to sync again with your iTunes library on your Macbook Pro.
    Alternatively, you can download any iTunes Store purchased content using the same Apple ID directly to your iPad.  Here's how:
    Download past purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
    Not sure which Apple ID you used to make purchases?  You can review your entire purchase history using your computer:
    iTunes Store & Mac App Store: Seeing your purchase history and order numbers
    I hope this information helps ....
    While syncing, I got this message: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad “temp’s iPad” because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined" What does this mean and what should I do?
    Based on an online post, I tried the following and it worked for me:
    1. Windows 7: Control panel > Device Manager
    2. Right click my PC's name > "scan for hardware changes"
    3. Restart iTunes
    4. Restart IPad
    5. Connect IPad
    6. Still I got the same error
    7. Restart iTunes
    8. Restart IPad
    9. Connect IPad
    10. It worked and I was able to sync the apps!!
    Prior to this I had removed few apps, not sure that was a trigger.
  • Cannot sync the music to ipad 2
    why i cannot sync my music from i tunes to ipad 2, it was starting when i upgrade my ipad 2 to 5.0.1 only the movies that i can only synch, even the apps i cannot transfer my apps from ipad 2 to my laptop? hope you can help me.
    thanks
    What is selected under the Music tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes?
    Do you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes?
    If so, after downloading an app direct with your iPad the app should be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPad with iTunes after doing so. If not, at the iTunes menu bar when you go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad, what happens?
  • Cannot Sync to iPhone Cause iPad Software is too Old
    Driving me nuts. I want my ipad and iphone to sync and when I try to restore my brand new ipad to my iphone, I keep getting an error that says, "The backphone "iPhone" cannot be restored to this iPad because the software on the iPad is too old."
    But it's not. I've done this 5 times now. It is definitely up to date. Even updated the firmware on my iphone. No matter what though I keep getting this error.
    Any ideas? Do you guys mirror data on both devices or not? Maybe I don't need to do this in the first place.
    Seems like the right thing to do though.
    Thanks for your help.
    Peter
    Am currently having the same issue! My iPhone 3GS is running 4.0.2 and the iPad, which I bought tonight, is running 3.2.2, and everytime I try to restore from the iPhone backup I get the same error, ie that the iPad software is too old and that it needs to be prepared as a new iPad first, then updated, then restored from the iPhone backup.
    ....but it doesn't work!!!!
    I just got an iPad 2. I am trying to sync my iTunes music library to my iPad. I was able to sync my apps, mail acounts, pocasts, and books but not any music. I have tried repeatedly with no success.  I select sync music then selected playlist, albums, artists, and so forth. Nothing happens.  Why?
    I could not get music and videos from the computer to the iPad and vise versa although the computer apparently was backing up the iPad. After playing around with them a bit I finally got the two devices to share media again. i still get the message that the iPad and the computer cannot sync - now that i got them to start sharing again i'm not sure how them "not syncing" is going to affect me as yet.
