Cannot sync video purchase to my iphone

I recently purchased a TV show on iTunes but, after numerous attempts, it will not sync to my iphone. I have tried restarting both my phone and my mac and I reinstalled iTunes to no avail! It works with music videos I have purchased but it will not work with the TV show. I tried transferring just one episode, as opposed to the whole series, and that also did not work. Can anybody help? I would appreciate any advice.

I take it you mean a Music Video? Is it a compatible file? The videos will appear under the iPod app, Videos (which is under the More tab)

Cannot sync videos from iTunes to iPhone 5S

I recently got an iPhone 5S 32 GB. I restored it through iTunes from a backup of my old iPhone 4S 16 GB. Since the restore, & after an upgrade to iOS 8.0.2, I can no longer sync videos from iTunes 11.4.0.18 to the iPhone. Previously I had been syncing a number of these videos to the 4S for years.
Here's what I've always done: I simply connect the iPhone to my PC via a lightning cable. Next I click on the "Movies" button at the top of the window. Then I check the box to sync the movies that I wish to transfer. Finally I hit "Apply." The sync starts, but the movies never make it to the phone for some reason.
When I click on "Movies" under the iPhone on the left side of the screen, I see a listing of the movies that should have synced. They are listed there, but they are kind of greyed out, & they have a dotted circle beside them. This is very puzzling because I have over 17 GB of free space on the phone. I can also confirm that the files are on my hard drive in the location shown when I right-click & hit "Get Info." I can also successfully sync the very same videos with my iPad mini.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

UPDATE: I backed up my phone, wiped it (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings), & then restored it through iTunes. For whatever reason, that seems to have fixed the problem. Movies now sync to my phone like they used to.
That process seems to have corrected 1 or 2 other minor issues, including one where iTunes was 'syncing artwork' for a long time on every sync.

Cannot sync Outlook 2007 Calendar with iPhone 4 using iTunes 10 for Windows

I cannot sync my calendars with my iPhone and Outlook. I spent the whole day uninstalling Office and iTunes and reinstalling them, but calendar items still won't sync in either direction. I also deleted and reinstalled the Outlook iTunes addin. I'm not getting any error messages; they just are not syncing.
I am using:
Windows XP Pro
Outlook 2007
iPhone 4
iTunes 10

OK...here's the update. I tried a few more tricks, too numerous to go into and NOTHING worked. I finally downlaoded and installed Companionlink Express and.....presto! I can sync again. 49.95 for the Companionlink software. You would think the BB folks could write (or purchase) a decent piece of software. I purchased the 8330 primarily to help me keep up with my calendar. When that didn't work, I had a $200 dollar cell phone. RIM almost got this one back! 8.1 won't sync Music purchases from my iPhone back to my iTunes Library

I have run into three issues since installing iTunes 8.1.
The first was the problem syncing Calendar data which many other folks have reported and which I resolved by setting iTunes to overwrite the Calendar on my iPhone at the next sync.
The second is that I have purchased songs from the iTunes Music Store app on my iPhone and iTunes 8.1 doesn't seem to discover these songs during the sync process and they don't get copied into the iTunes library on my Mac. I never had a problem with this before in iTunes 8.0. The only thing that's changed is installing v8.1. So I currently have no way of backing up any tracks purchased on my iPhone.
The third issue is that syncing with my iPhone is generally more sluggish then it was in iTunes 8.0 - it takes longer to sync and the progress information in iTunes on my Mac is out of step (the spinning progress wheel next to my iPhone in the Devices pane disappears about 30 seconds before the progress at the top says that the sync has finished - in iTunes 8.0 these things happened at the same time which was reassuring).
Not being able to sync items purchased on my iPhone is a serious issue for me.
Does anyone know if I can revert to iTunes 8.0 safely (i.e. were any changes made to the iTunes library xml files or any supporting files in 8.1) - I have a Time Machine backup of my User Account from before the upgrade to 8.1 and I have only purchased a few tracks on my iPhone (not on my Mac) since.

I'm having the exact same problem with iTunes 8.1.1. I purchased one song from the iTunes Music Store app on my iPhone, now it won't sync (transfer) to iTunes on my iMac. Guess I need to downgrade too.

I have this question too. I made my own video on my iPhone 4S. I want to put it on my iPad. I synced it to my iPhoto, and trying now to move it to iPad. The computer WILL NOT do this. Why not? I occasionally get messages it's not in a correct format, but for God's sake, I filmed it on the phone, in whatever format Apple uses. ***?

If you are sure that you are authorizing the correct account/ID then:

More info would be useful - where did the video come from (iTunes or somewhere else) ? Do you get any error messages, and if so what are they ?

ITunes stopped syncing videos to iPad and iPhone

I have a bunch of TV shows purchased from iTunes store on my laptop (MacBook Air, OS X 10.8.2) which I routinely sync to my iPad and iPhone. After ungrading my iPhone to iOS 6, the sync stopped working to both iPhone and iPad (which I did not upgrade yet) with iTunes saying that I can not sync these videos because I do not have permission to play them on this computer. This is incorrect as this computer is authorized to play them, and I can actually play them on this computer. I've done all the tricks I've found suggested - reset iPhone (which I didn't think would work since the iPad is affected too), deactivate and activate my iTunes account, and am stuck. Thoughts?

Cannot sync non-purchased itunes songs from itunes to ipod

I have been having this problem for some time now and have searched for answers for some time now to no avail. I have older songs from CDs on my laptop (Dell Inspiron E1405 & Windows XP) that at one time I was able to sync to my iPod, iPhone, etc. However, about a year ago that all changed, as now I can only sync purchased songs to my iPod or iPhone. When I place non-purchased songs on a play list and then try to sync my iPod or iPhone, the syncing process stops and I get an error (-50) which essentially states there is an unknown error and cannot sync this particular song and gives the title. I have narrowed this down to only songs that I imported from CDs many years ago. They are not listed as "protected" or "purchased" ACC audio files if that helps. I have searched for an answer for some time or waited for an iTunes update to fix the problem, but no such luck. Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated, there has to be an answer out there somewhere. Thanks!

i have a huge problem... i cannot seem to sync my apps to my iphone... the calendars and music and photos all sync properly except the apps... i also cannot check or click the sync apps in my itunes... this problem started when i transferred all my files to a new laptop...

Is your computer authorized? Store>Authorize this Computer. Also check iTunes>Preferences(Under the edit menu if using Windows)>Parental...any restrictions for Apps?

Cannot sync ATV1 Purchased Movies with iTunes

I have recently purchased 5 movies via my ATV1. I cannot sync or get my purchased
movies into itunes. They are not in my itunes folder and I have no available downloads.
They used to always automatically appear in my iTunes folder, but not anymore. The TV
shows I've purchased are syncing, just not movie purchases.
I have the most recent ATV1 update and most recent iTunes update. Any help?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Navigate to Settings > Computers > Your Library on the Apple TV, you may be told you will lose all synced content, but you can sync it back afterwards, you won't lose any purchased content that has yet to be transferred. Then select Settings > Computers > Connect To iTunes, note the passcode that appears on screen, click on the device in iTunes and enter the passcode when prompted.

Hi I have recently upgraded my iphone 4 to the new iTunes 10 & 3.1 firmware for iphone & Im going crazy coz i cant sync any photos to my iphone 4 yet on the bar it shows that i have 3 .6gig on my iphone of photos BUTI havnt,Ive got 36 photos in the cameraroll on iphone .

What photos?
Photos synced to iphone from your computer are synced one way only. computer to iphone.
Photos taken with iphone are not part of the sync process. They should be imported regularly as you would with any digital camera

Does wifi-sync sync videos taken on my iphone?

I know that photostream won't sync videos, but what about when my phone automatically syncs over wifi? If so, is there someplace where I have to go to enable it?

I take video with my iPhone 4S of hockey games. One file for each period of some 25 to 30 minutes. The file sizes are around 4 GB for each period.
Have you tried to copy 12 GB of video files wirelessly? Good luck with that.
My video files are so large that sharing by any other means than "Sneaker Net" ie hard drive to hard drive, is impractical.
So the short answer to your question might be: "Not going to happen"
