Cannot synch Blackberry with Outlook - stops at #42 on calendar

This is the error message in the Desktop software error log - help!!!
DesktopMgr caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module ILXOLK.FIL at 001b:11460c03 CurrentThread:00000E10.

Hi masala,
Can you provide a little more information on this issue? When you're syncing the calendar can you tell if it's scanning the device or the Outlook calendar when the sync stops? If its the device calendar I would clear it and resync it with Outlook.
If its the Outlook calendar, try enabling advanced logging using this article. http://bbry.lv/9eSlM8 and syncing only the calendar. If you want help reading the tif.log and PTTrace.log files you can PM me.
Thanks,
-FS

  • Synching contacts with Outlook does not work

I have a Mac (with the contacts application), an iPhone and an iPad as well as an iCloud account. Synching contacts between all 4 of them works perfectly. However, synching contacts with Outlook 2011 does not work anymore. It used to, then I had some trouble with the synching with the iCloud (due to the fact that I had to change the Apple ID from the one I use for iTunes to the one I use for the Cloud), and since then contacts do not replicate with Outlook anymore. I can deactivate and reactivate the synching in Outlook as much as I want, no change.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

So it sounds like you have contacts from multiple mail accounts syncing to/from your iPhone.  They will all appear there as long as their respective accounts are checked under contacts/groups(upper left of contact screen).
As far as contacts created on the iPhone, if you select Outlook as your default account for contacts, all contacts created on the iPhone will sync with Outlook.  I'm assuming your Outlook syncs with an Exchange Server.
You could connect the iPhone to iTunes and sync all of your contacts to say, a desktop version of Outlook.  You could then import that set of contacts into the Exchange version of Outlook.

  • I have downloaded the latest version of icloud control panel to a PC with Windows 7. My "master" data is always on my PC. With other synch software I always select "One Way Outlook to Device". I synched icloud with Outlook and it has trashed my Outlook

I have downloaded the latest version of icloud control panel to a PC with Windows 7. My "master" data is always on my PC. With other synch software I always select "One Way Outlook to Device". I synched icloud with Outlook and it has trashed my Outlook with duplicate contacts. Is there a solution. Is there selective synchronisation available?

Make sure you don't have any notes that have no content or subject or this can prevent syncing with Outlook.  If you do, delete them.
If you don't, try unchecking "Mail,Contacts,Calendars & Tasks with Outlook" on the iCloud control panel for Windows, choose Delete at the prompt (the data will still be in iCloud), restart your PC, then go back and check this setting again.  (Your iCloud data will reappear in Outlook after a brief delay as it redownloads.)
Then create a new note on one of your iOS devices and see if it appears in the Notes folder in Outlook mail after a few minutes.

  • Synching Blackberry with Microsoft Outlook

A while back last year, after much time spent by Blackberry support staff on my behalf, I accepted the fact that I could no longer synch my Blackberry 9300 Curve address book or calendar with their counterparts on my laptop's Microsoft Outlook 2007 software.  This is an incredibly useful feature for me.  Rather than buy an iPhone, I decided to wait until the Q10 phone and the v.10 software came out, which are around the time corner now. Can anyone authoritatively tell me whether or not buying this new phone and installing the new software will resolve my problem? Thank you.

At this time with the latest update of the Blackberry Link software it is possible to sync Outlook back to the Z10. The sync going to Outlook is supposed to come in another update from what I have been told.
There are work arounds to get the contacts between Outlook and the phone in both directions. This can be done using Hotmail ( http://www.outlook.com   or   http://www.hotmail.com ) with the sync option. A software called Outlook Connector is required to make this work with Outlook and Hotmail sync. This software can be downloaded from Microsoft. The Z10 can be synced with Hotmail. I tried this, and it works well.
Take note in Outlook the Hotmail contacts list will appear in its own sub folder inside of the Contacts Option area.  I have used this feature with Outlook 2010 only. I did not try it with earlier versions, but I think it should work. Outlooks is updated with the Send/Recieve action.
Syncing with Hotmail has its advantages. This allows remote PC access to the Contacts list through Hotmail. Corrections can be made in Hotmail and they should reflect in the phone. Corrections made in the phone should reflect in Hotmail. When setting up Hotmail in the phone, the sync feature must be allowed.

  • IPhonne stopped synching contacts with Outlook

I had somehow synched my outlook contacts with the iPod. After that I deleted all my contacts from Outlook. Then, to take a backup of my iPhone contacts, I added just 1 dummy entry into my Outlook contacts. I am using the latest iTunes and also have updated the SW on the iPhone. I make all the right selections in iTunes to sync iPhone contacts with outlook. When I sync contacts are not synced. Neither the Outlook contacts nor the iPhone contacts are changed.
All I want is to create a backup copy of my iPhone contacts. Is this an impossible task?
    Thanks,

It is now 2008 and I assume Apple decided to support the most popular versions of Outlook and I guess if Microslop didn't have significant changes between Outlook 2002 and 2003 - with 2003 released the very next year which is unusual and speaks volumes, Outlook 2002 would also be supported but I venture to say there is a reason.
Nothing special or additional purchase is required with a Mac and rightfully so and I don't blame Apple one bit for not wasting resources to support every Outlook version or Windows version. The minimum system requirements and other requirements is published and easily available before making this purchase.
I think Apple designers need to go for a training session @ Motorola. I had no backup issues with my Motorola Razr using the Motorola Phone Tools SW.
And Motorola designers need to go for a training session or two @ Apple since the Motorola Phone Tools SW is Windows compatible only which I believe requires an additional purchase.
Which Windows version are you running since there might be another option depending on your answer.

  • Synching 8330 with Outlook

This is pretty frustrating.  I cannot get my 8330 to synch with Outlook on my desktop computer.  I run OS Windows XP 2002, Outlook 2007, and BDM 4.3.  When I attempt to configure the sync settings, Outlook is not even an option as available desktop applications, only Yahoo! and ASCII Importer/Exporter.  I have a Dell laptop with all of the same other than the OS is XP professional versus home version, and I have been able to successfully sync it to Outlook, but not on the desktop.  Any ideas what is going on?  I'm ready to toss this BB!

  • Can synch contacts with Outlook, but not calendar/todo list

My Nano syncs fine with music, photos, and with Outlook's contacts The contacts page in itunes even lists my calendars, but when I synch they don't come across, and neither do my todo lists. Any suggestions?

Hi - I was able to sync contacts and calendar, but not to-do lists, although there is an option on the nano itself for to-do lists - when I select it it tells me to "enable syncing from Itunes under the Calendar section of the contacts tab." There doesn't seem to be any option to enable this in the calendar section - I suspect maybe this was eliminated for the 3G?
Anyway, one problem you may have in syncing from outlook is that there is too much data in your calendar and contact files. Try archiving your files in outlook first before syncing.(File/Archive) I got the "Itunes cannot sync" error message and this solved my problem.
    Good luck.

  • Synching Contacts with Outlook 2010

I am running Outlook 2010 on a brand new computer. I am running iTunes version 9.2.0.61 and iPhone version 4.0.1. I have had no problem synching my contacts with my phone until today. There are 3 "contact" folders in Outlook: all called "contact" but 1 is associated with my e-mail address on microsoft's MAPI server; one is associated with my wife's e-mail address on microsoft's MAPI server; and one resides on the desktop in an "outlook" folder. As of yesterday the two MAPI folders were empty and all of the contact information was stored in the outlook folder. But today I entered a new e-mail address in the "to" field of an e-mail. When I synched my iPhone it erased all of the contact information on the iPhone and replaced it with the single e-mail address I had entered. When I checked the computer I saw that the new address had been placed in my e-mail MAPI contact folder. I removed it from the MAPI folder and put it in the "outlook" folder but the iPhone will not synch with the outlook folder. I have tried synching it several times and it just produces an empty contacts file. But it had been synching successfully with the outlook folder for the previous several days until an entry was made in the MAPI folder. What do I do now to get all of my contact information back on the iPhone?

Why isn't Apple addressing the Outlook 2010 64 bit Sync problems?
I had a computer crash & had to replace it. I didn't have copies of some of my software including Office 2007 and just bought all the new version and now nothing is working together...

  • Cannot sync tour with outlook

I have a tour, and had it synced to my outlook when i was running windows xp. I recently updated my computer to windows 7, and ever since, i have not been able to synch my bb with outlook. When I connect my bb and choose my synchronization options, outlook is not even an option for calender, contacts, etc. I have tried updating outlook to 2007 from 2003, all different versions of desktop manager, uninstalling and reinstalling desktop manager, and also wiping out my bb to its original settings, all with no luck. Any advice or ideas are much appreciated!!

Most likely have to re-install Outlook.

  • Error while synching nano with outlook

I use windows xp with outlook 2003.
I always get an unknown error (-50) whenever i try to sync my nano to my outlook. I am a first time ipod user, so i do not know what could be causing such an error.
Can anybody help? It would be reallu helpful if i do not ned to chug my pda along everywhere.

This is the First Apple product I have ever bought. Just bought the new Nano today. I too got the -50 error when trying to sync calendar from outlook 2003. Called 1-800-apl-care (1-800-275-2273) after along time on wait list I finally got to talk to a live person who was trying to help. I was put on hold while they were looking for the answer after several minutes I was disconnected. I called back, after a long wait I was connected to a new rep which was able to retrieve the previous info so I did not have to start from scratch (a plus in my book). They were unable to resolve the issue so they connected the case to a "Product Specialist" Ryan, they said sync was not covered by tech support. The phone rep still tried several things on his own to try to help me, to no avail. (TY for trying) No one at Apple that I talked to was able to tell what the -50 error meant. Cut and Paste from Apple Nano website "Good thing iPod nano lets you take your calendar and contacts with you. With support for Address Book and iCal on the Mac and Outlook or Outlook Express on the PC, plus industry-standard vCalendar and vCard files, iTunes syncs your calendars and contacts so you can access everything with a quick spin of the Click Wheel." So much for my first Apple purchase.

  • Cannot send emails with Outlook 2013

Hello, please can anyone help with the following. I can send & receicve emails via my BT Mail account but can only receive them with Outlook 2013. It used to work ok, I've not made any changes to the settings and I like to use it as a matter of convenience. Is it straight forward to put this right or should I remove the Office installation that it is part of and re-install it.Thank you

@ribblelancs. I got it sorted OK in the end m8ty but I do warn you I tried absolutely everything, nothing would work, even doing a back log 4 day restart of windows 8.1 did not help so in the end I had to do a complete fresh install of my Windows 8.1 pro package software and start all over again, installing office etc.., I know it sounds a pain in the ass and it is because I have now got to reinstall most applications again but I can assure you it fixes the issue with outlook 2010 email problems and now all works so that is what you need to do!.
You may have replied to this topic instead of the original.
However, uninstall / reinstall of Outlook 2010 is the one thing I didn't do, but I did disable and re-enable it, along with many other things.....
It did however prompt an upgrade to the full blown office 365, which is some improvement, at least..... But it doesn't dispute the fact that it wouldn't work without the separate usb wi fi adaptor until today.
    It's all a muddle.
Take a look at the microsoft forums and you'll see that there's no real conclusion to a similar problem with Outlook, other than a suggestion to uninstall  / reinstall, from scratch.

  • Cannot send mail with Outlook 2010

I can't send email with Outlook 2010. I can receive fine. I have a Verizon account, and my settings are those recommended. When I try to send email I eventually get a time out. I have called the Verizon techs any number of times and after working with them fruitlessly I was told to call Microsoft. Microsoft can't find the problem and said that it must be a problem that Verizon refuses to acknowledge.

I'm using MS Outlook 2010 in Win 8, Win 7, and XP.  I''m using the latest settings specified by Verizon.  Everything works perfectly, and has done so since since I made the changes a month or more ago.
Unless you post your specific settings, exactly as they are entered into your Outlook program, there is no way that any of the volunteers here can provide useful suggestions.

Is the hang happening when you're syncing calendars? If so, by any chance, do you have Eset security software (like Nod32) installed on the PC?
