Cannot Synchronize New/Additional Products in WSUS

Hello everyone. I inherited our WSUS installation from someone who inherited it from another team in our department, and the individuals who initially set everything up are no longer with the company. I have most of the basics of just keeping things running
down, but I noticed something very strange that our CTO has also noticed because he is not receiving all of his updates as one of the very few individuals we have on Windows 8.1. 
Under the Products tab in Products and Classifications, I cannot get Windows 8.1 or any other product to remain checked to synchronize updates. It will also not keep any products unchecked for me, such as Windows XP. I am stuck with the configuration
someone else put in place. Windows 7 and 8 are checked, so
We are running Windows Server 2012 and while I am a local admin on the server so I can run the Server Cleanup Wizard, I am not a domain admin. Our server sys admins do not have any suggestions
for me and have not been tasked with managing WSUS at all.
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information that will be helpful to pinpoint the problem.

    What does this mean? You don't know where transferring photos from your computer to your iPhone is selected for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?

    You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
    Discussing jailbroken / hacked phones is forbidden by the terms of service. Jailbreaking / hacking voids any warranty and forfeits your right to support here or from Apple. You can not get help here.

    Long story short: Simply get CC for teams. At 500 bucks a year it's a steal and those 5 licenses in the base package (or was it 10 even?) cover all your computers, at least the 3 ones you mentioned. For system requirements refer to the individual product pages.

  • Cannot 'Synchronize with database' my entity objects

    Hello,
    I have successfully created entities in my model using the 'new buisness components from tables' function. But now my database moddel has changed and I would like to synchronize my entities with database to get newest colums, but when right clicking an entity, the 'Synchronize with database' link is greyed and cannot be selected.
    I have a database connection configured in my application resources and I can still import new tables in my project.
    Do you have any idea of what is happening? This is not the case for all my applications. I can still synchronize in some other ones

    Synchronize with the database will be avaialble for the Entity Object
    I think there is a problem with the particular entity that got created when you did the business components out of tables..
    This is not the case for all my applications. I can still synchronize in some other onesif this is not happening with any other EO in any other application.. then you can try
    recreating the EO from the table..
    compare what is the change in between the EO that can synchronize and your current EO that cannot synchronize..
    another option might be to check the application.. if that is havign some hidden property to synchronize..
    last is to go with sameer's approach, to doubt about the table is not proper... in the same applciation create an EO with another table and try to synchronize.. you will get to actually the point where there is a problem..

  • V1 631 - You cannot enter new delivery costs

    Recently we upgraded from 4.6C to ERP 2005 ECC 6.0.Since the upgrade, we have noticed an issue in ME22N. Once you perform invoice verification on a purchasing document, you can not add any new conditions or change any existing conditions. You get message V1631 - You cannot enter new delivery costs. The purchasing document has not had Goods Receipt done on it, only Invoice Receipt. I even tried reversing the Invoice Receipt and then adding/changing conditions, and it still gives me the message noted above. Please advise.

    Is it possible to change or add delivery costs in the purchase order after a goods receipt has been executed?
    Answer:
    No, this should not be possible. The system generates error message V1631 'You cannot enter new delivery costs' (V1631). Important: If your system does not behave in the manner described, this is an error that can be corrected using Notes 187694 and 196884. This affects the earlier Support Packages of Release 31I, 40B, 45B and 46B (you will find more detailed information in the two notes mentioned).
    For the changeability of delivery costs after an invoice receipt, see Note 651798 and Note 720191, or Note 549408.
    The existence of held delivery cost invoice documents must be checked manually and has to be considered.
    Delivery costs must not be entered again or changed if all follow-on documents were cancelled for the purchase order item, unless there were no delivery costs for the posted documents. Otherwise there is no guarantee that continued processing will run without errors.
    If you change the Customizing for existing delivery costs, the system does not read this either in a purchase order with an existing goods receipt. The new Customizing settings only take effect when you create a new purchase order.
    Of course, the condition values of time-dependent conditions can still be changed even after a goods receipt has occurred.
    Please note:
    The restrictions on changing delivery costs as described above have only been developed over time. This is not due to changed functions, rather previously we did not know that making changes could sometimes lead to subsequent irreparable errors.
    In particular, when you post invoices for delivery costs, the logic considers delivery costs that have already been posted (even if they have since been cancelled) AND the data for delivery costs from the database (as displayed in the purchase order). During processing, you have no way of knowing if this information is no longer compatible, nor any way to discover the cause, and this leads to incorrect processing.
    You should therefore proceed as follows:
    If delivery costs were entered incorrectly, you must cancel all related purchase order items (reverse all documents) and enter a new purchase order item with the correct delivery costs. Otherwise, there is no guarantee that further processing will be correct.
    If your delivery costs are changed regularly, you should use master conditions.
    Additional note:
    If you have manually changed or maintained conditions in the purchase order, under certain Customizing settings when you run a new price determination after a goods receipt, a condition may be determined twice. For more information, see Note 456691.

    I'm working in a Oracle 10g database, running on RHEL. The alert_*.log file is putting out this type of text for the past few months:
    Thread 1 advanced to log sequence 713 (LGWR Switch)

    Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 714
    Checkpoint not complete
    Any ideas to get me pointed in the right direction is appreciated,

    The immediate fixes Vishal suggests are the standard answer, but there is more to it, as the MOS doc he references shows. Additional questions I would ask:
    How long is the delay between the inability to switch and when it actually switches? How many datafiles do you have? What is waiting in the db?
    In general, I find making log files sized for the rare massive updates, then using the built-in timeouts to switch every 20 or 30 minutes (depending on management recoverability expectations), helps avoid some of these problems. More specifically, run a statspack or awr (if licensed) report for maybe an hour during heavy times, and see what it thinks the waits are. Tuning is an iterative process, and sometimes different things can cause similar symptoms. Sometimes fixing the biggest problem (which is often poor SQL) can radically change the symptoms observed. Other times you find you have dying hardware, or someone messed up a switch configuration.

  • Increased logfile size and now get cannot allocate new log

    Because we were archiving up to 6 and 7 times per minute, I increased our logfiles from size from 13M to 150M. I also increased the number of groups from 3 to 5.
    Because we want to ensure recoverability within a certain timeframe, I also have a script that runs every 15 minutes and issues 2 commands: ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE; and ALTER SYSTEM CHECKPOINT;
    I am now seeing in my alert.log file the following, almost every time we do a log switch.
    Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 12380
    Private strand flush not complete
    No other changes have been made to the database.
    Why would this now be doing this?
    Should I not be doing both the ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE and the ALTER SYSTEM CHECKPOINT?
    Is there something else I should be looking at?
    Any suggestions/answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Set the FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET parameter to the instance recovery time in seconds that you want...
    ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_MAX_PROCESSES=upto 10; this will make sure that the redo logs are copied faster....
    The sizing redo log files can influence performance because DBWR, LGWR and ARCH are all working during high DML periods.
    A too small online redo log file size can cause slowdowns from excessive DBWR and checkpointing behavior. A high checkpointing frequency and the "log file switch (checkpoint incomplete) can also cause slowdowns.
    Add additional log writer processes (LGWR).
    Ensure that the archived redo log filesystem resides on a separate physical disk spindle.
    Put the archived redo log filesystem on super-fast solid-state disks.

  • Cannot allocate new log&Private strand flush not complete

    There are two Oracle10g(10.2.0.5) Database running on SUN M5000(SPARC64 VII 2.53 GHz Quad-Core Processors*4/32GB Memory).
    The first Oracle10g DB is running with 8GB SGA and 1GB PGA, the second Oracle10g DB is runing with 7GB SGA and 2GB PGA.
    We encountered a issue on the second Oracle DB. When we manually switch the online redo logs with an alter system command as below.
    SQL> alter system switch logfile;
    The Alert log will display the following messages:
    Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence xxx
    Private strand flush not complete .
    All other Oracle10g DB will not occur "Private strand flush not complete" messages except for the second Oracle10g DB. I want to know the detail reason.
    I also saw two Doc ID:[ID 372557.1] and [ID 435887.1] from Oracle Metalink. But I am not satisfacted with what they wrote.
    My last target to resolve the issue.

    The message of the OP is similar, but not the same. It would rather means that log switch cannot occur because the redo has not been written, this could be a disk contention to write down the redo. If this is eratic behaviour it could safely be ignore.

  • Cannot create new folders in Outlook

    I just bought a new PC computer.  I installed MSFT Office Professional Plus 2010.  I opened Outlook and added in (i) the pst folder I had set up from my previous Vista
    computer (also with Outlook 2010), (ii) my hotmail account, (iii) my at&t/yahoo account and (iv) my gmail account.  I cannot create new folders in any of them.
    When I right click anywhere in the navigation pane and select "New Folder..." I get the following error message:
    "Outlook cannot read the registry information.
    -Close and restart Outlook.
    -Reinstall Outlook
    -Reinstall Microsoft Exchange or other e-mail system."
    I tried all three, including removing and reinstalling Office and removing all of the email accounts/pst files and re-adding and still have the problem.
    If I try to right-click properties on any of the accounts, I get the same error message, with the following additional language first:
    "Cannot display 'General' page. This page will remain visible, but is not available."
    Not sure what is left to try.

    Start the Outlook in safe mode,

    Create a New profile & PST file to test this issue

  • My iPad2 cannot synchronize with iPhoto on my Mac, error message "...cannot synchronize.  File not found"

    Have upgraded my iPad to an iPad 2. When synchronizing with my iPhoto Library (8500 photos) on my MacBook I get an error message saying "...cannot synchronize. File not found" (transalted from swedish). It works well with my iPad. I restored the iPad2 tand began from scratch but the problem reocurred.

    new ipad with new sync with 6 photo album with iphoto, error occurred.
    restored iOS to 4.3.3, problem still exist.
    ipad B:
    synced 6 photo album with iphoto no problem for a long time.
    tried to de-select album 1 and synced, no problem...
    then re-select album 1 and synced, error message occurred.
    my solution:
    copy album 1's photo to desktop, then copy the desktop photo back to iphoto album folder...after that, i can sync back album 1 to my ipad. 
    i have no idea why iphoto has such problem on some of my photo albums =(
    Do anyone have a more clever solution?

    2) run autoconfig
    3) generate forms and reports for new product
