Cannot take photos in Messaging

For some reason, our new iPhones do not allow us to take photos, or use existing photos when Messeging.  Both do not need updating.  Does anyone have a fix or should I reset?

I had just turned iMessage on before your response but not the MMS, which I have no clue what that is ;-)  THANKS!

  • Cannot Take Photo Error message

My iPhone 4s keeps giving me error message and won't let me take pictures.. I only have 15 on it... and it won't let me take anymore.. I have very few Apps and have not added any since getting the phone.. have tried turning off and on the phone and took all pictures off, deleted all email, texts and all.. ????

I had the same problem with my IPhone 4S.  I could not take any pictures, and always got the message that I did not have enough storage.  If you will go to settings; then to Safari; at the bottom of the screen, click "clear cookies and data," another screen will appear at that time; on that screen you should click "clear cookies and data."  That worked for me, and I am now able to take pictures.  I hope that this will work for you.

  • Cant take pics any more, error message sez "CANNOT TAKE PHOTO"

cant take pics any more, error message sez "CANNOT TAKE PHOTO there is not enogh available storage to take photo. You can manage your storage in Settings." but then I go there and cant do anyhting...?
I believe I have backed up all photos to my computor and I even just now bought more icloud storage for $20.00 a year and still nothing....?
I cant find a way to delete camera roll....?

Guess what? The folks responding to you here are all just users like you, we don't work for Apple, so, you know, your pain is of little interest.
This has been the cause of your problems:
I checked in Iphoto preferences and the box to automatically import photos to Iphoto was unchecked.
What that means is you have connected your camera and iPhoto has imported references to your photos - links, in other words. It did not copy your files into the Library.
Then you took away the camera.
Now iPhoto is looking for the pictures.
You'll need to import the images again - but if you do you'll have masses of duplicates. So, trash the existing library, create a new one and start over.

  • Why does my iPhone camera keep telling me "Cannot take photo" there is not enough available storage to take a photo, etc? I have it hooked up to ICloud and the cameral roll???

Why does my iPhone camera keep telling me "cannot take photo" there's not enough storage, but I have my phone/camera roll hooked up to Icloud and have purchased additional storage???

iCloud storage has nothing to do with remaining memory on the phone - only memory for backups and Photostream.  The photo has to first be stored on the phone and copies sent to iCloud.  If there is not enough available memory on the phone, the photo can't be taken.
To determine the remaining memory on the phone:
    Settings > General > Usage > Storage
The Camera Roll is meant for temporary storage of photos, which should be imported to an app on your computer and deleted from Camera Roll.  You can then sync back those photos which you want to keep on the phone.

  • My phone keeps saying : CANNOT TAKE PHOTO .. There is not enough available storage to ate a photo .. Manage your storage in settings ... Errrrrrrrrr I'm so aggravated

My phone keeps saying : CANNOT TAKE PHOTO .. There is not enough available storage to ate a photo .. Manage your storage in settings ... Errrrrrrrrr I'm so aggravated

The space you purchased is in iCloud. It is not on your phone, and there is no way you can use it directly on your phone. The phone comes with whatever memory you purchased it with (8, 16, 32 or 64 GB) and that number will never change. You can use iCloud memory for backups, for syncing your mail, contacts, calendars, notes and photos. You can also use it for storing non-iTunes music to stream back to the phone (iTunes music also, but the storage for that is free, and is not part of the storage you purchased)  and Documents and Data for apps that are iCloud enabled (such as Apple's Pages, Numbers and Keynote apps).
Apple gives you 90 days of free telephone support when you buy an iPhone or iPad. I guess they figure that 3 months is enough time to get your startup questions answered. You also had the option of buying AppleCare, which would have extended the 90 days free telephone support to 2 years.
You can still get free support from Apple by going to any Apple store, and from other users in this user-to-user support forum. And frequently user support is more useful than Apple's, because users don't have Apple's lawyers overseeing everything that is said by Apple employees.

  • Cannot send photo with message

    Cannot send photo with message

Does the plan with your carrier include MMS messaging?
Do you have MMS turned on in Settings?

  • Cannot take photos

My problem is my daughter has the ipod touch 8gb and whenever she tries to take  photo or download an app it comes up with the message "there is not enough disk space please delete photos and videos".  The thing is she has deleted all the photos and videos but it still says that.  She has also deleted apps but same thing is happening.  Im not good with this technology so simple advice please!!

    - One the iPod go to Settings>General>About an see how much storage space is available.
    - Try restting the iPod.  Nothing will be lost:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next just try syncing with the computer
    - Then try restoring the Ipod from backup via iTunes.
    - Last, restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.  This will make your iPod like it was when new and is the last resort.
For how to restore from backup and to factory defaults see the restore topic of:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software

  • Cannot sent photos via messaging

I have the Droid Charge, with the latest update (EE4).  I've done a factory reset, hard reset/battery pull and just about everything else to solve this issue.
Messages being sent via the messaging client (text) with photos get hung up and I get an error message that the message failed to send.  On occasion, the recipient says that the photo gets through; largely though, it doesn't get sent.
Anything else I can try?  I have tried third party (handcent) messaging apps but have the same error.

Spoke to someone in the network engineering department who thought the issue was with the phone.  Just got the new phone, set it up, and still have the same issues.
To recap.  Photo (MMS) messaging works 90% of the time in 4G.  In 3G or less, the phone hangs on "Sending," I get a general failure to send message and then the phone never closes the connection and continues to attempt to send the photo, draining the battery.  Maybe 20% of the time, I get a general failure message and it goes through anyhow.  If I attempt to send another MMS, I get "too many unsent multimedia messages" failure error.
Battery pulls have no effect on the phone's attempt to send the photo message, even hours later.  This is a new phone, stock everything - I haven't even added my personal apps yet to see if it would work.
This occurs when the recipient is Verizon (tried on two Blackberrys, on Fascinte and one HTC Thunderbolt), Sprint (tried on Blackberry), AT&T (iPhone, Samsung Captivate).
    Someone please help.

  • Cannot receive photos through Messages

Ever since two weeks ago, I have not been able to receive any photos/images through Messages on my iPhone from any non-iPhone users. I used to be able to receive them, but not anymore. I can still send and receive if the other user is an iPhone. I tried resetting my phone and restarting. Even the MMS button is on too.

  • Iphone 4 sending cannot take photo message

Having issue with storage space pop up

How much storage is remaining on your phone? It sounds like you may not have enough room to save the photo, that is why this message generally appears.

  • Cannot send photo in message from Photos app in ios 7.1

After installing the new ios 7.1 update, I tried taking a picture with my iphone 5 and sending it to a friend via text from the Photos app.
    This did not work.
Instead, I had to open my Messages app and attach the photo to a message from there.
Also peculiar, when I try to send the picture from the Photos app - once I've selected the contact, it brings up old conversations with that person that I've already deleted from my phone!

Hello asjmb! I can certainly help you solve this mystery! It sounds as though you may have your iMessages set to receive emails as well. You can go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, and remove the email account that you do not want to receive in this format.
    Thank you,

  • Emergency! Windows cannot take photos from Mail

A bit of an emergency. I'm the sports reporter for a small town newspaper (all mac driven). The local school made the state tournament for the first time in recent memory. Even though I am credentialed by the state press agency, the state athletic governing body (AIA) requires an additional pass for the press to photograph/report tournament games.
Using Mail, I've attached a JPEG of my state credential and sent it to the person in charge at AIA. She reports that she can "see the photo just fine, but can't get it out of the email so that she can use it to create whatever secondary pass is necessary." I've sent it to her twice with the same result. I always check the "windows friendly attachment" when adding the jpeg. The AIA is obviously on Windows of some sort and I have very little ability to induce them to experiment.
Is there a way to attach a photo to an email such that a Windows user (likely running Outlook) can separate the jpeg from the body of the message?
The emergency part of this is that the playoff game is tonight at 6:30 and I was notified of the need for such additional documentation late Friday. (Gwad don't we all hate bureaucrats !!) I've tried the standard method twice without success. I've never had any problem with Window users getting photos before and have no clue what they are doing on their end.
I quit paying attention to windows back about XP so don't know what is going on. A couple of fast searches here and via google haven't provided solutions.
Any help greatly appreciated! (And I'll buy you a beer if I can figure out how to get it to you

Attachment Tamer made them happy. It was clearly user inexperience on their end, but they are happy now cause it looks like what they are use to.
