Cannot transfer Apps from Mac to iPhone 4

I was planning on Transfering a free app from my Mac to my iPhone 4, I plugged my iPhone in and waited for iTunes to Synce.
I will drag Candy Crush onto the screen and Sync/Apply. After waiting for it to finish, I will click done and Eject my iPhone. I still have no App on it and when I plug it back in, it says that it was never installed. Please help.

Will I get a reply? It seems Apple isn't as supportive as I thought.

  • Can't transfer apps from Mac to iPhone using iTunes

I need to transfer an app from my Mac to my iPhone because the vendor bodged an update. I've deleted the broken app from the iPhone and now want to sync apps with my Mac as it has a working copy of the app. However when I go to the syncing screen there are no apps visible:
But my Apps are all there on the Mac:
Don't know when the problem started as I normally keep the apps up to date on each device over wifi.
    Any ideas chaps?
    David

Apps you purchase from the Mac App Store can only run on the Mac OS X.
Apps purchased from the iTunes store run on iOS based devices such as your iPod.
In other words, you can't run the game for your Mac then copy it to your iPod.  Two differenct operating systems.

  • Cannot transfer app from PC to iphone

Hi,  Last evening I purchased my first app from the itunes store.  I made the purchase using my PC.
Trouble is I cannot transfer the app from the PC to my iPhone.
In itunes, in the left side sidebar my iPhone is present.
In itunes when I click "All", all the apps appear that I have downloaded over the last 2 years, including
the app i purchased last night.  When I click the next button labeled "iPhone/iPod touch"  all the apps on my iPhone
appear minus the purchased app.  When I go back to the "All" page and then drag the purchased app to my iPhone
iTunes prevents this action from happening.  The app is on my PC's "C" drive with the size listed as 166 MB
so the app download was complete.  On one of the many online help forums that addressed this same problem it was suggested I go back to the itunes app store and download the app again. Using the PC I went back to the store and the download/purchase button was grayed out and within the button it said "downloaded" so i am prevented from downloading the app again.  Using my iphone to connect to the itunes app store I could not locate the more expensive HD version of the app I had purchased.  Only the cheaper version of the app was found. In iTunes I have  synced the iphone.  This is a strange problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Tx very much!

Found the solution to problem.  The HD version of the app is only good for the iPad, not iPhone.  Would have been nice if apple had clearly stated this up front in the app store

hw to transfer app from computer to iphone?? please help me!

Connect the iPhone to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which is Apps - if you select that tab then you should be able to select which of your apps to sync to the phone (assuming that the apps are compatible with the phone e.g. you have the relevant IOS version on it). If you have bought/downloaded apps on your phone that aren't on your computer's iTunes then you may want to copy them to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases

There is no need to "buy" appliclations again.  You can backup your old phone to iCloud and restore the backup to the new phone.  You can also re-download them for free from the App Store.

  • I wanted to transfer apps from ipad to iphone, eg 1password.   Unfortunately, following the syncing process, the apps have been transferred but can't get into them and if I can, they don't have the contents in them, they're just the empty app!

Can you advise how I can sync apps from ipad to iphone without losing data.

Data does not sync between devices, so you can't do what you want to accomplish.
If you want to sync 1Password, then install it on both devices and use it's iCloud sync feature.

  • How to transfer purchased apps from Mac to iPhone

    Hello,
I purchased some college apps on my mac book and I need to this programs on my iPhone too.I read all discussions about that and did everything but not success about that.My iTunes doesnt see the purchase programs on my computer.
    Thank You,
    Furkan

You have to log into iPhone App Store and purchase the iPhone version of the apps. Mac apps only run on Macs, iOS apps only run on iPhone/iPads/iPods.

  • How can you transfer iMessages from mac to iPhone?

Does anyone know how to transfer iMessages from either a mac or an iPad onto an iPhone? I want to transfer my history of messages from these devices onto my iPhone. Any help is very much appreciated.

    You can't...
You might be able to copy the message chat files from the iPad to the iPhone using the iExplorer app, but it may not work if you're not on the same iOS version.
However, the messages should sync up on their own, due to the iCloud function but if not, just reference the iPad until you don't need to anymore.
You can use iExplorer and put the message history into a pdf and then put that PDF on your phone.

  • How can I transfer music from Mac to iPhone WITHOUT iTunes?

I'd like to transfer (not sync, just transfer) songs from my Mac to my iPhone. How can I do this without going through iTunes software?
I know there was another software I used to do this with... something like iFun or iExplorer; but neither of those will transfer from iPhone to Mac. I've searched the web several times for such software, came up empty.

"The only reason it would delete songs on your phone that you had no physical copy of would be if you tried to sync it with a different iTunes library."
Yes, I know that. That's why I mentioned I have two computers. I also know you can redownload songs from iTunes. The songs don't come from iTunes. I don't know why you wish to devolve my query into a legal battle (like I'm sure you're a copyright lawyer for the RIAA) but number one, who said they were copyrighted songs? Not me. Number two, even if they were, yes the copies are mine if I choose to make copies. At least in my country, that's the case. That fact does not change if I lose the original, if the original source is unplayable, or if it burned up in a fire. Are you an international copyright attorney too? If so, you're not a very good one. And I posted a simple query. I didn't post it to be told to buy a different phone. If you can't answer the query, then why are you here? Just to argue for iTunes and copyrights? I already mentioned that there is software that exists to do what I want, so I obviously do not need to buy another phone. I just want better software at this point.

How do you transfer content (apps, pictures, etc) from an old iPhone 3 to a new iPhone 4s?

I understand that.  I'm curious as to what will transfer and what won't transfer via backup.  From the research I've done, texts and voice messages won't transfer but voice messages are persistent with the provider, so I won't really lose them.  What else won't transfer?  Pictures? Safari cache (i.e. saved passwords for web sites)?  Will those transfer?

  • Transfer app from coomputer to iphone 4?

I was forced to download an App in iTunes on my computer because the size was 20MB. How do I transfer that App from iTunes to my phone?

Select Sync Apps under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
If Sync Apps is not currently selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes which probably means all 3rd party apps currently installed on your iPhone are not in your iTunes library, before doing so at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. After confirming all 3rd party apps currently installed on your iPhone are not in your iTunes library where they should be, select Sync Apps under the Apps tab and make sure all apps below are selected including the new app you downloaded with iTunes followed by a sync.
Now after downloading an app direct with your iPhone, the app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so. This also allows for removing an app from your iPhone without deleting the app by deselecting the app under the Apps tab followed by a sync. To re-install the app on your iPhone again later, reselect the app under the Apps tab followed by a sync. To install an app on your iPhone after being downloaded with iTunes, make sure the app is selected under the Apps tab followed by a sync. If you restore your iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed, you can reinstall all apps on your iPhone via the iTunes sync process without having to re-download each app one by one with your iPhone.
