Cannot transfer photos

I cannto transfer photos from my phone to my PC - it keeps saying - "error copying folder, the requested resourse is in use". You cannot preview photos or video on the PC at all. You can see the icons but cannot open or transfer them. I have tried rebooting the phone.
Any help would be great!

Close all windows and plug in the iPhone, if the phone is syncing wait for it to finish(this shouldnt make a difference but may be the cause). After it has finished follow the step in the article below to import photos from your iPhone to PC based on the version of windows you have.

Cannot transfer photos and videos from sandisk micro memory card reader to i photo in mac book pro.  The photos were taken on my samsung phone.  The chip was then placed in the sandisk and plugged into laptop.  They appear in finder window but I don't know how to get them into i photo.

Select one file and type Command+A (Select All) to select all at one time.

  • TS3697 cannot transfer photos from iphone to pc tried everything

cannot transfer photos from iphone 4s to pc tried everything including bump

I found a webpage where a user reported the same issue as me.
He said he determined that "foreign pictures" -- meaning any pictures not taken using the iPhone's camera -- were the cause. Once he deleted the "foreign pictures" -- such as pictures obtained from receiving texts from others which included pictures that he saved onto the iPhone, then iTunes worked.
In my case, the fix was to upgrade the iPhone's OS from 5.1.1 to the latest version.
    Now, both issues are solved:
Windows recognizes the iPhone as a storage device.
iTunes can see pictures that I've saved on the iPhone.

  • Need Help ASAP. Cannot Transfer Photos

    Hi,
I have been able to transfer photos from a SanDisk Extreme IV CompactFlash in a Canon 50D all week, until tonight. I'm using EOS utility to do the transfer. The photos are coming up blank when I try to open them with Preview. It comes up "the file ... could not be opend. It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognize."
I cannot open them with Image Capture, iPhoto, Digital Photo Professional, not even a browser.
When I do the slide show on the camera, I can see the photos. Is that a good sign?
I don't have a card reader right now, and need to get to these photos open ASAP!
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

When you contacted Canon what did they say?

Transfer Photos from iPhone to PC:
On a Windows PC the easiest way to get pictures from your iPhone is to just use Windows Explorer, but there’s two ways to go about this:
Plugin your iPhone to the computer without iTunes running
Wait for a popup asking you what you want to do with the device
    Select “View Content”
Find your photos through the folders that are displayed
    Copy in Windows as usual
If your iPhone is already plugged into your PC, you can try this method:
Plugin your iPhone to your PC
    Open “My Computer”
Find your iPhone, it will appear as any other camera would
Open iPhone to find your Photos
Select the pictures you want to copy to your computer and copy/paste them into the desired location on your PC

  • Cannot transfer photos from 9320 to pc

Used to be able to transfer photos to my PC but now I get the message that "There are no photos to transfer" or something similar, using BB Desktop.
    7.1 bundle 2814 (v7.1.0.1033, Platform 9.49.0.123)
    Curve 9320, 7.1 2102, Telus

If you are using a Windows PC, you can use either the digital camera wizard or File Explorer. It's the same way as if from a digital camera.
If you are using a mac computer, use iPhoto to import them.

  • Cannot transfer photos to my 30gb ipod

I recently purchased a 30gb ipod video .I would like to put photos onto it but have been unable to do so . I have synched my ipod to the folder containing the pictures I wish to transfer , watched the various indicator screens appear as itunes goes through the process of resizing the images but at the end of the process itunes always returns the error message " Ipod ' name of ipod ' could not be updated . The specified folder could not be found. " I am quite frustrated . The folder is synched and on my desktop . I am running windows xp on a pc . I have tried to transfer photos after allowing disk usage to no success . I have searched the internet and read many forum postings on ilounge and found no remedy . Hoping I will find help here . - Newbie101

Thank you for your reply . The folder I am synching to is located on my desktop . I have tried to synch to the same folder from the my documents folder and from the my pictures folder . I read / watched the info you suggested . Is it possible that my problem is itunes does not have 'write' access to the folder I am synching to ? How would I enable write access to the folder . I do not see the option in the folder properties menu . I noticed the folder is identified as read only in the properties menu . also i have noticed that the ipod photo cache folder created in the photos folder contains multiple folders , some of which contain ithmb files and a photo database file .

  • Cannot transfer photo

When I sync my iPad, iPhoto opens. Most of my photos that are on my iPad transfer OK, but there are 3 that constantly are not transfered. I have the file names, but since I cannot access the file system I cannot delete these photos. I have to close the dialog box everytime I sync and would like to stop doing that. It is a minor annoyance but still...
    Thanks in advance
    MM

I don't know why you're having a problem with the interaction of your iPad and iTunes with respect to these 3 files, but we can work around the problem:
-Use an app such as the free WiFi Photo Transfer to copy those 3 photos from your iPad to your computer:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wifi-photo-transfer/id380326191?mt=8
-Then go into the Photos app of your iPad and delete the 3 photos from there.

  • HT201302 I cannot transfer photos from my Iphone to mac -need for password I`ve never had

it always worked perfectly on Iphoto, but now it says I need a password on my Iphone - I`ve never had such a password! Iphoto says it cannot import any picture unless I unblock my Iphone with the password. I don`t even know where this password should be. None of the photo applications on Iphone says it has a password

Copy them as you would from any digital camera.

  • Cannot transfer photos from iPhone into iPhoto 9

So I was transferring vacation pictures and had no problem uploading pictures from my memory card into iPhoto but when I plugged in my iPhone and clicked 'import selected', a box came up saying "iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem writing to the volume containing your iPhoto library". Does anyone know whats going on and how I fix this problem? I have uploaded photos from my iPhone many times before this and have never had a problem.

And it's  iphoto '09.  I'm not quite sure what that means though.  Do you mean on the hard drive? Sorry, not super computer savy.

  • My Ipod touch is running IOS5.1 and I cannot transfer photos and videos off of the unit.

I am currently running IOS5 on my 4th gen iPod Touch and I have been having trouble moving the photos off of the unit.
My device shows up in iTunes, but does not show up on my list of drives like it used to before the upgrade.
I would like to remove all of the photos off of my device without having to e-mail them to myself five at a time.
How do I get the device to appar as a external drive again so that I can do a bulk file dump?
    Please help.
    Hearns

If your ipod os the original (1st gen), then you do not update it.   It is running the latest software that it can handle.
If it is a second gen, then you can update to 4.2.1.  Click check for updates in the summary tab.
If it is a third or 4th  gen, then you can update to 4.3.3 in the same manner.
