Cannot un-install i-tunes in order to install update
Tried to update i-tunes several times. Everything ok until the installation attempted to un-install the old version and the error messages that i-Tunes "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" "Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes.msi in the box below" The path shown does contain iTunes.msi. I have also placed a copy of iTunes.msi in the Windows uninstaller folder with no success. How can I delete iTunes? control panel remove function comes up with the same error message. Also an error "The older version of iTunes cannot be removed contact your technical support group.

On a mac. I install & run Creative Cloud Installer & it loads 1/2 way and then disappears.
The Adobe rep, Prabhanjan Singh, hung up on me when putting me on hold. I cannot get any Adobe help. Anybody have an idea? Can you uninstall from the Applications Manager? If you can, uninstall and also delete the Cities folder and the qf file. This should leave you free to reinstall.

I cannot open my i-Tunes folder and error message R6034 says I must re-install i-Tunes. If I do this will I lose all my music?
See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
Your library should be fine.
You ought to back it up routinely anyway.

I have re-installed I-tunes and have a new operating system (Win 7 Pro).
I now cannot sync as I-tunes says my I-Pod is already connected to a library and wants to erase my music on the I-Pod. What do I do to get around this problem? An iPod is designed to be synced with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync the iPod with a new/different iTunes library, iTunes on the new/different computer will replace the contents currently on the iPod with whatever is currently stored in its own library.
If the music and content on your iPod is not in iTunes or in a backup somewhere you can use the information in this user tip from another forum member turingtest2 to help you copy this content from the Nano back to the PC and into iTunes.

I dutifully un installed Itunes because of some conflict, I now find I cannot re-install Itunes because the old Itunes is on some other drive that do not know of, what do Ido now
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. The notes should get you past porblems uninstalling the old version.
Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page later if you have trouble after reinstalling in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I am trying to install a registered copy of Photoshop Lightroom that I never installed on my Apple iMac with software version 10.10.
I get the message “Adobe Lightroom 1. Cannot be installed on this disk because a newer version of this software already exists on this disk”
If it is here – I cannot find it anywhere, and I don’t believe that I ever installed it.
I have ordered the upgrade to Lightroom 5.0 and figured that I should install Lightroom 1.0 first.
How can I solve this problemActually when LR 5 starts for the first time after it is installed it will have a dialog to Buy, Try or Enter a serial number. You select Enter a serial number and enter the LR 5 serial number first and then because it is an upgrade serial number it will ask for the serial number of a Previous version. You then enter the LR 1 serial number.

Hey, I'm trying to install Adobe Flash on my Macbook Air. At a certain point it asks for my password but it doesn't take it. So I cannot continue installment. I have reset my password already. Still the same problem. How can I continue to install when it keeps asking for a password it doesn't recognize over and over again? How many times do I have to reset it then? Advice please
You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

Hi All,
I have been trying real hard to install Windows 8 on my Macbook Pro early 2011 model. I followed the instruction given by Bootcamp word to word, all things went very smoothly untill I was asked Windows Setup Instaled to selct the Hard drive. Here's the error:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk 0. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI system, Windows can only be installed on GPT disks...."
Let me know guys what should I do?
Thanks,
AttiqeYou have started the Windows 8 installer in EFI mode, and you don't have to start in EFI mode on a Mac because your Mac emulates a BIOS and a MBR partition table in order to install Windows in non-EFI mode.
To start the Windows installer, hold the Option (Alt) key while your computer is starting and have a look at all the boot options you have. You should see two with a DVD above and they must be named "Windows" and "EFI Boot". Choose the option with "Windows" and follow the steps to install Windows. Note that you have to format the "BOOTCAMP" partition from the installer to be able to install Windows.
If you are trying to install Windows from a USB drive, note that your computer isn't compatible to do it -
I have an Early 2011 13" MBP going strong with an SSD and original HDD installed in the optical drive. However, having had success with windows 7 on my old HDD I was planning to install Windows 8.1 (from .iso) on my SSD. However, for the past day or so it's been a nightmare.
I tried the official procedure but by editing the bootcamp info.plist so I could boot from USB (you can't install windows from an external optical drive apparently) partitioning as bootcamp wanted too.
I then tried it a number of different ways using disk utility etc and with an empty space
However, I always seem to end up with the error "“Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only installed on GPT disks“
I read some interesting stuff here http://www.royhochstenbach.com/installing-windows-8-1-on-a-2013-mac-pro/
He points out that
"Windows 7 and 8 in x64 support EFI. Normally if you install Windows on a Mac and use the installation DVD, it boots into regular BIOS mode, thus can be installed on an MBR partition. I tried the same, but since the Mac Pro doesn’t have an optical drive I had to use an external drive. And apparently the Mac boots external optical drives in EFI mode too. The Bootcamp wizard is aware of this, and creates a GPT partition on a non-superdrive Mac but an MBR partition on a superdrive Mac."
This means Bootcamp is essentially making the wrong type of partition?
My real question is? How do I install it windows 8? I'm really on my last legs!
I really don't want to have to open this thing up and reinsert my optical drive as its really really difficult to get out of the enclosure (would probably have to break it).
A huge thanks in advance!Hi,
Have you tried that suggestion?
You also could use this commands to check and install again:
Inside windows installer, hit Shift+F10 to get a command prompt, then run diskpart and type List disk to displays a list of disks and information about them, such as their size, amount of available free space, whether the disk is a basic or dynamic disk,
and whether the disk uses the master boot record (MBR) or GUID partition table (GPT) partition style.
and then select the target disk. Zap the drive (with the clean command), create GPT table (new gpt), create the GPT-EFI special partitions.
Step-by-step instructions is here for reference:
HOW TO: Use the Diskpart.efi Utility to Create a GUID Partition Table Partition on a Raw Disk in Windows
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297800?wa=wsignin1.0
Then reboot so the firmware finds those partitions and adds the disk to the EFI-native boot order (Windows installer checks this).

Help - I cannot de-instal Adobe 8 from my computer - but I also cannot print anything today -
I am a not very experienced home computer user. I only ever instal updates to Adobe reader when told to. Today I am getting messages saying Adobe cannot be opened - and I cannot now print my gas bill ! I have tried to de-instal from control panel on my computer and the following message comes up:
I am getting messages saying there is a problem with Adobe and I cannot then print the item I want. I have tried to de-instal the product in order to re-instal and I get a message saying '/This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you cannot access it, or contact the vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package'.
I have no idea what this means !
I have tried to search the Adobe site for over an hour to find advice - we are using Windows XP and the free
version of Adobe - updating when told to.
Please advise with simple explanations for rectifying this problem. ThanksI
Maybe its not compatible with with your program as its not compatible with Vista,,,,,,,
I have run the cleaner hoping it helps delete my Photoshop CS6 from my laptop....
The problem I encountered turned out to be because I have Vista on my laptop with 4 mbs memory.
Nowhere does it say you cannot use photoshop with Vista...and that 8 mbs of memory is required.
I have encountered numerous problems and now cannot restore my computer or uninstall Photoshop.
Its one huge mess
I have purchased a new computer with windows 7 and am having it set up by a technician right now but I still want this computer working too...
I still cannot delete Photoshop though I have tried and tried...and I cannot afford to pay him more to fix this computer up too...so I have to do it alone
The latest programs require 8 mbs of memory and Windows 7 -
