Cannot uninstall Mozilla Firefox 4.0.1, downloaded two days back using the control panel or the Revo Uninstaller.
I had downloaded Mozilla Firefox 2 days back, overriding the existing version 3.6.13.
But I find the new version rather unusable. I am very familiar with the FF 3.6 version, which I have been using over 2 years. Hence I would like to revert back to the earlier version 3.6.13.
Mozilla Help informed that I should first uninstall version 4.x and then reinstall the earlier version.''But I am unable to find the version 4.x, either through the Control Panel or through the program Revo Unistaller'''. '''How can I proceed to restore back the earlier version 3.6?'''

Thanks for your comments . I think that my wording in the question has caused some ambiguity. Actually, I updated using the Mozilla FF Help menu only. I was trying to '''uninstall''' the new version using the Revo Uninstaller, as I did not find the FF 4.0.1 in the Windows Uninstall List, and not '''installing''' it through Revo Uninstaller. However, my above reply to jef001, should clear up the issue of my continuing with FF 4.0.1 .

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430 It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps

4. Tap on Reset All Settings
What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It doesn’t affect your data. All of your email accounts will remain intact, as well as any SMS text or iMessages.

I simply want to uninstall Mozilla FireFox 3.6.3. I tried both recommendations of using the control panel to add/remove program and running the helper.exe in Program Files/Mozilla FireFox/uninstall. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition(64bit). When I tried to remove it using the add/remove program and helper.exe all it does is start for a split second(mouse pointer turns into circular loading icon) and then it stops.

Since the "FREAK OpenSSL bug" in the Mac which has been making the news over the last couple of days doesn't apply to Firefox but does affect Safari and other Mac browsers, you might want to hold off uninstalling for a bit. I did have a previous version of Itunes and Quicktime that I used the control panel Uninstall to remove. When I do the download, I get a small window in the upper left saying Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage. It is trying to get to ....itunes64setup. I did check to see that all old Apple directorories, etc have been delete. Help!
Okay. Let's see if you've acquired some kind of restriction for the download site. These settings checks/changes apply to the IE downloads, so we'll be trying to use IE again.
Head into your Internet Options control panel, and click the Security tab. Click Restricted Sites.
Check to see if the following website is listed as a restricted site:
appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net
If it is, remove it from your list of restricted sites and try another download.
If still no joy, head back into the security tab of the Internet Options control panel. Click Trusted Sites this time. Click the "Sites" button.
Add appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net as a trusted site. Uncheck the "Require server verification" box. Now click OK and try another download. -
How do I uninstall Mozilla. when I try from the control panel, it doesn't do anything.
I deleted the maintenance section from the control panel section first, and now when I try to delete Mozilla, it sits there and does nothing.
Are you trying to uninstall Firefox because you are stopping using it, or to try to fix a problem?
Also, don't remove the maintenance service first, when you uninstall Firefox the maintenance service is also removed. -

I have installed firefox 3.2.64. When i click on the desktop icon nothing happens. The windows task manager says mozilla firefox is running but I can't see it anywhere. What might the problem be?A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I recently downloade Firefox v6.0 but had to remove it via the Control Panel>Add/Remove Program. When I downloaded v6.0 again and tried to re-install it I keep getting an error messsage that said that I had to reboot to fully remove the previous copyof v6.0.
