Cannot uninstall update kb: 3000850 please help?
I've been trying to play a certain MMO however it shuts down every time I run it. My friend uninstalled an update KB:3000850 and his game working however
when I click on it, there is no uninstall option.
I tried running it through CMD command but I get this error message
Windows update Standalone Installer: Update for Microsoft (kb:3000850) is required by your computer and cannot be uninstalled.
I know that this update is the issue because everyone that plays this game were able to uninstall it. Is there anyway to force it?
p.s I'm not sure where to post this, because there was so many categories.
What is the Game you are trying to play? Can you provide the link to the MMO game?

Cannot UNINSTALL VERSION 11. Please help
Now I'm having a problem uninstalling version 11.1.1.3 on Windows 7. When I start the uninstall EPM, select all the products to uninstall (I want to uninstall EVERYTHING), I get a screen saying "initializing" and then the initialization keeps continuing. I let it "intialize" for about 40 minutes, then hit "cancel" and started up the install again, but same thing. Does Essbase take a long long time to "initialize" or is something wrong here? I have a pretty decent processor/RAM configuration, the installation certainly proceeded faster and smoother than the uninstall I am attempting.
have you looked into the possibility of running a vm, that way you can run a supported OS and if it goes wrong just revert back.^^^ This is really good advice. I seem to be an installation drama queen and if it weren't for VM Ware, I think I'd still be installing 9.0.1. There's nothing like saying, "Screw (I have substituted this word for the one actually uttered aloud) it, I'm reverting back to my VM Ware Snapshot of just the patched OS". I have, unfortunately, done this many times.
I know that doesn't help you now, but your situation is precisely why I go through the hassle and overhead of running all of this stuff on VMs. Also, that allows bouncing between versions which seems to be more and more of a requirement.
Just a vote on my part for this approach after you rebuild your OS with the Win 7 recovery disk. ;)

P.S. I think even infrastructure guys at least play with new releases on VMs and then transition to real hardware. I have also seen lots of implementations done solely on VMs, except for maybe the Essbase server. Performance can be so-so. -
IPod cannot be updated "Error -48" - Please help.
I'm so frustrated. Got my brand new ipod 80gig 5G and for the fourth time in it's first week, I've got an error message and can't add any songs, files etc to it. The only way to solve it is to restore it to factory settings erasing the ipods drive. Considering I bought the 80gig model to free up my laptops start up disk memory, this whole problem makes a mockery of the ipods memory size. Do you think I should take it back to the shop or is there a proper fix to this. What is "error -48" anyway? I can't find anything out there.
nb my software is fully up to date and I've already tried the restart, reset, retry, restore protacols. Restore is the only one that works. Is the fault with my laptop perhaps?At the moment Apple are working on a permanent solution for this so hopefully we'll see a firmware update to fix the bug soon. In the meantime their advice is to change the Time Zone settings on your Mac to Pacific Standard Time (PST), restore the iPod and then change the time setting back: iTunes for Mac reports a -48 error during iPod sync

When I try to download my updates it keeps saying cannot connect to iTunes store please help I'm going mad!
a lot of people have posted about this and i have seen one weird thing fix this. people said they where going into date and time under settings and changing the date to some time in the future and then going to the itunes store and it would give them an error that there date and time was wrong. then all you need to do is go back and set the date and time right and go back to the itunes store and try again.
Im not sure why this did the trick but a bunch of people said that this helped them out..... Weird i know

until I updated him from SnowLeopard 10.6.8 to Mavericks 10.9.2.
2 Days all was OK. Next Morning-Start he needs (until now) 3 minutes to show me a SCREEN only milky white. After that he starts like ever with all ICONS in about 1 minute. (together 4 min.)
..But I must notice, that I cannot make anything, because the „BLUETOOTH APPLE WIRELESS KEYBOARD and the APPLE MAGIC MOUSE“ doesn't work anything like before.
I could nothing do, I must drop my APPLE only out.

i have been having an issue with updating my ipod touch for some time now and i can not seem to get it to update to the lastest update. it is stuck on 4.2.1 software and i can not update it to 4.3 or any other ios software update. can you please help me to solve this issue.
It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. If it's an 8 GB iPod Touch it's definitely a 2G iPod Touch as there was never such a thing as a 3G 8 GB iPod Touch. See this article to help verify what generation iPod Touch you have.

I have my Calendar app syncing with iCloud. Every time I open it it says, "Moving Calendars to Server Account..." It runs and runs and does not stop. As a result, I cannot access my calendars. Please help.
I have the same problem, I tried the solution of Dr Cox but that didn't work as he said go to system preference then mail, contacts etc. but I don't have that. Can someone help?

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

i updated the spelling of a song in my itunes but its not reflecting when i check my ipod. this never happened before when after i updated to IOS5. please help.
Try unsyncing the sone and then resyncing. That works sometimes. Sometimes restoring from backup works. Other times nothing seems to work.. Yuo are not alone since iOS5 and iTunes 10.5/6.

If you downloaded it, it's likely in your Downloads folder as a Disk Image .dmg. Just open it and intall Flash player and restart your browser. Everything should work.

I am still trying to update my Ipod touch 4 to the iOS 6 version. It is on the 4.3.5 (8L1) version. When I go to settings-General-it just says About and nothing about an update. I have no idea how to update it! Please help!
You can only update via the ipod with ios 5 or later.
You need to update via itunes on your computer as always. -
