Cannot unlock iPhone with error 'IMEI: unknown, ICCID: Unknown"

Hi
I have the above mentioned error, restore is required but I cannot connect to iTunes due to this error message below'
'iTunes counld not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter the passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.'
The problem is, I cannot go to the 'Enter Passcode' screen. Please help

Hello:
Unfortunately, 3 weeks ago I had the same error on my iPhone 3GS. After reading and reading all about this error on discussion forums on apple.com, I had to take my iPhone to the Applce Care Center: my iPhone was completely dead and no chance to get fix. Fortunately the garantee haven't expired and I got a brand new iPhone.
Good luck!

    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. An incorrectly set default packet size can cause this error. Contact the software manufacturer that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows:How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
I hope this information helps ....
    Happy Holidays!

  • HT1222 restoring iphone 3GS - error message 'unknown error -1' occurred.

when restoring my iphone 3gs itunes attempts to restore then come back with error message 'unknown error -1' occurred. what to do now?

    Hey Lawrence,
A big THANK YOU!! to you! Your suggestions worked!
Before I changed USB ports (more on that in a sec...), I employed one of your suggestions that you gave to someone else with the same problem...and that was to clean the connector on the bottom of the phone with a soft dry tooth brush. I couldn't believe the amount of lint that came out! Especially what was found in either end...had to do some very careful picking. (Almost enough lint to knit a small sweater!!)
Changing the USB port was the second and final step required for a successful backup. My computer is a laptop, and I did have a USB Bluetooth adapter (for another device) installed. I removed  the adapter, plugged the iPhone into that USB port, crossed my fingers...and it worked!!!
Now if I can figure out the rest of this darn program, I might upgrade to a new iPhone!
Again, thank you very much Lawrence!

  • Hi I have a problem I forgot my pass for unlocking iphone with Touch ID.Someone know how I can remuved

Hi I have a problem I forgot my pass for unlocking iphone with Touch ID.If someone know how I can remuved please tell

to be able to restore you need to put it into recovery mode first so it won't ask for the passcode
this article will go over how to put into recovery mode at the bottom of the article:
Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
basically with it being powered off hold the home button while plugging it in and keep holding the home button until it shows the iTunes logo with a chord and it will then let you restore the device in iTunes

This is a user forum. You aren't talking to Apple here.
Return your iPhone for a refund. There is no way to remove the Activation Lock. Apple won't get involved.

  • Can I find my iphone with the IMEI?

Can I find my iphone with the IMEI?

If your iPhone is stolen you can report the IMEI to the carrier and see if they offer blacklisting.

  • How do I unlock my iPhone with my IMEI code on iTunes. And how do I change the iCloud account connecting to the phone?

My sister got the 5S, so she has given me her old 4S. She got the IMEI code from her network to allow me to unlock it. When I plug the phone into my computer, how do I use the IMEI code to unlock it on iTunes. The text my sis got from O2 says, "Apple have confirmed the iPhone IMEI 01.....etc. is set to unlock. To complete, connect the device to iTunes with a SIM never used in the iPhone". But I'm not sure what to do, I already connecting the iPhone with my SIM to iTunes... What next? Also how do I change the iCloud account connected to the phone (hers) to my own?
    Thanks.

  • Cannot unlock iPhone 4

I have tried everything I can find on this forum and the web and I cannot unlock my iPhone 4.  I cannot get the "congratulations you iPhone is unlocked" in iTunes.
I submitted the form to AT&T and got an email back saying they had granted my unlock request. I have since followed countless sets of instructions for unlocking - none have given me the message.
I first tried this all using the sim card that I have always had in the phone.  Then I figured maybe I needed a new sim card to cause the unlock to go through.  I bought a micro sim card from Consumer Cellular at Target and tried the process with it and still no joy.
Almost all of the instructions I have found are from 2012-13.  I tought maybe with the new iOS and OS there might be new procedures(?).
BTW - I no longer have service on this phone.  I want to unlock it and use it when I travel overseas.
    Please help me :-)

I like it when people post the resolution to their questions, So....
I activated the Sim card from the carrier it was from - put it in the phone at the "Hello" screen, and was able to make a call.  I guess something I did, one of those many sets of instructions I tried worked.  Sorry I don't know which ones.
I never got the "congratulations your iPhone is unlocked" message in iTunes.  Best I can tell iTunes no longer does this.
Now I have to do it all over again with my iPhone 5 :-)
    Thank you all.

  • Can I use unlocked iPhone with bad ESN in South America?

I want to buy an unlocked iPhone 4s or newer but it has a bad ESN/IMEI/MEID. I read that even though it is blacklisted and can’t be used in the USA and Canada, it can be used in most of the world’s GSM carriers (assuming a compatible frequency). Assume the iPhone is GSM and the carrier abroad is GSM too. Because it has a bad ESN it’s cheaper.
But I’d like to buy the phone in Canada and test it here before I leave the country so I can return it if something doesn’t work. How can I test it? I read that data might work wherever there’s public Wifi but I mean I wanna test if it can actually make calls and text. Is there usually problems with those features with used iPhones? Do any carriers abroad check the ESN blacklist and not allow the phone?
I also read that some phones have a country code lock, which says that the phone won't connect to systems with particular country codes and that cracking the country code lock is a lot more difficult than the SIM unlock. Is this true or usual in iPhones?
For the record, "bad ESN" isn't exactly a synonym for "stolen phone”.

No, it's a synonym for 'very likely to be stolen, and more problem than it's worth, don't waste your money'.

  • HT201328 Carrier cannot unlock iphone 4

My carrier T-Mobile UK cannot unlock my iphone 4. They have sent the request to apple who have replied that it cannot be done, but with no further details. The handset is my own and I have reached the end of my contract with the carrier and wish to switch. The only advice T-mobile can give me is to contact Apple, but from the Apple website they direct me to my carrier for unlocking. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

That's a steaming pile of manure.
Carriers dictate when a device can and cannot be unlocked.  They send the request to Apple and Apple complies.
Contact the carrier, ask to speak to a manager or someone intelligent and demand an honest answer and resolution to your issue.

  • Bakground job failed with error EXSQL UNKNOWN CONNECTION

    Hello,
We are scheduling job is background which connects to other system and picks up entries to update it.
The report works very well in foreground no error, no dumps, no connectivity issues.
When report is schedule in background it gives dumps throwing error 'EXSQL UNKNOWN CONNECTION' which is near the DISCONNECT statement.
All authorisation and everything is in place as job runs in foreground and also in background sometimes.
    Please help.

    Hi Sunny,
Yes I have analysed the dumps in st22.
We have scheduled the background jobs which are exchanging data with external databases.
Sometimes these background jobs get finished and sometimes it gets cancelled and gives the above mentioned ABAP dumps.
I am not sure whether it is related to the database connectivity or something else?
    Waiting for the response.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Prem

  • Cannot pair iPhone with iMac

I have an iPhone 5c, iOS 8.1, and an iMac running Mavericks.  I am trying to pair my iPhone with the iMac (via Bluetooth) and it will not let me do so. I just finished reading a post from 2008, stating that it was not possible.  Is this true???  I could pair my old flip phone (non-Apple) to it without difficulty.  Hard to believe I cannot pair 2 Apple products together.
    Thanks,
    Glen

iOS devices don't natively support file transfer over BT.
You can use Photo Stream to access all of your pictures from all of your devices.
    My Photo Stream FAQ
Depending on which model iMac you have, you may be able to use Airdrop.
Mac Basics: AirDrop lets you send files from your Mac to nearby Macs and iOS devices
I'd also take a look in the App Stores (Mac and iOS) for apps that will let you transfer pictures between the two devices wirelessly.
