  • Cannot update CS6 on Win8.1Pro 32bit

I cannot update CS6 via AAM on Windows 8.1 Pro 32bit (upgrade from Win 8 that was an upgrade from Vista Business).
It downloaded the files but ultimately ended. It offered to download a log analyzer but that is not available on Adobe's site any more.
I read an article about disabling some Virtual WiFi network adapter but I did not have any such adapter at all listed in the network adapters, so I just tried to disable regular WiFi adapter and VirtualBox virtual adapter and kept only Ethernet, but no change. I was trying also to run the PDapp.exe as administrator, no change.
Fortunately the CS6 works normally but it would be nice to be able to update if there are some bugfixes.
The log says internal error during install, U49M1P1.

  • Creative Cloud Updater cannot update CS6 - Corrupted Download

In practical terms I am of course using Photoshop CC 2014. However as part of the CC update process, my original installation of CS6 (before subscribing to Creative Cloud) gets updated.
It now keeps failing with the following warning: "Update Failed The download appears corrupted (U43M1D204)".
Where might I find the downloaded update so I can delete it and restart the CC update process? Or is there another way of resolving it so that CC updater doesn't constantly indicate a pending update required?
    Thanks

  • Updating CS6 & Bridge

I cannot update CS6 or Bridge. When I click on the Adobe Application Update Manager I get the following message - "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the internet or the firewall settings may be incorrect." I have turned off firewall and anti virus as well as tried updating several times over the last few days, each time the same message. Any help would be appreciated in enabling updates. Sherwin

In CS6, the auto updater should work.  But…
If it still not working, try updating manually. there are precise, detailed instructions on the downlaod page.
If you had mentioned your platform, Mac or Windows, I could have provided you a specific link.  You should be able to find it yourself, however.

Re: CS6 updates and Mac write permissions
Need Adobe help to solve this. My own searches in Forums and Google all have failed.

It is not an Adobe problem. You have a OS permissions problem. You can try to correct this by using Disk Utility to Repair Permissions. It is in the First Aid area of Disk Utility.

  • When trying to update CS6, I am asked to close Bridge...but it is already closed.

I am trying to update CS6.  I am asked to close Adobe Bridge. It is already closed. I cannot continue the update unless it is closed. What must I do to fix this problem?

I am asked to close Adobe Bridge. It is already closed.
There is a big difference between closed and Quit. Closed means mostly no visible window, yet the application itself runs at the background.
If you are on a Mac check the open applications (cmd + Tab lets you cycle through the open applications) or open the activity monitor (in the Disk utility folder in Applications)
If you are on Windows maybe Curt and Yammer P will have better advise for you

  • Updating CS6 to 13.0.5

I'm running into difficulty updating CS6 to 13.0.5.  To keep my SSD clean, I remove all the language support from all software except for languages I'm apt to use, even occasionally.  I tried to update my CS6 to 13.0.5 and the update failed because I don't have all the language support installed.  Is there any way to force the update without having to reinstall the original CS6 and update it and then remove all the language files.  This presents an annoying prospect, but if it is the only way to do so then, of course, I will do it.
Along those lines, there is a related issue.  When I use the Adobe updater with my existing copy of CS6, I'm told it doesn't need an update.  I'm wondering whether the crucial files were updated to 13.0.5 and only the language files weren't.  I can't find a version number for CS6 in any of the usual places so I cannot determine what version I'm really running now.
    Thoughts, help?

Yes, I am.  I have two legal copies and neither one will update but both indicate I don't need the update, which is the puzzle here.  They both lack all the language support files and the errors I get suggest the problem is the absence of the language files, but the update manager indicates I don't need the update.  I may have to reinstall the entire set of software, update it (if possible), and then remove the language files.  They take up about 4 GB of unnecessary storage on a small SSD.

  • I Cannot Update Illustrator.

I Downloaded Illustrator CS6 as a trial. I started my creative cloud subscription after the trial had already expired and now for some reason I cannot update Illustrator. I need the latest update so i can get the new "package" feaute but the update option in the Help menu is greyed out. I tried using the application manager and I could not find out how to update it. I also downloaded the lastest update from the adobe website and when I tried to install it, I would get an error message saying that it cannot be updated. Any ideas why it is not working?

    Mac OS
    /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0/
    Windows 7 and Higher
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\
    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\
Navigate to the above location based on Operating system and move the file "AdobeUpdaterPrefs.dat" to the desktop and then open Illustrator and check.

  • Error message iPod cannot update b/c all of the playlists no longer exist

Hello. I have been getting this error message. "Songs on the iPod "MAR(the name of my iPod)" cannot update because all of the playlists selecting for updating no longer exist." And my playlists are still on the left side in my iTunes. They do exist. I have a feeling ths might have to do with the fact that on vacation the person I was visiting gave me a gift of putting all of his music that would fit into the external hard drive part of my iPod, and for the past week or so I have been putting that music onto my 40 GB portable hard drive at home. I suspect I took a vital folder out of my iPod by accident. Right now I have the folder iPod_control if I open my iPod up in My Computer. Am I missing something? Right now my iPod is empty because iTunes made a composite playlist last week and I deleted it thinking I could get my real playlists back. Can you help me, or reccomend a site/someone who can? Thank you.

    hiya!
And my playlists are still on the left side in my iTunes. They do exist.
let's just doublecheck this. folks get this message if they have "automatically update selected playlists only" selected in their itunes "ipod" preferences tab. so bring up that tab ("edit > preferences", click "ipod" while the ipod is showing up in the source list), and do a playlist by playlist crosscheck of the playlists selected in that tab, and the playlists showing up in the itunes sourcelist.
is there any playlist selected in the preferences tab that isn't showing up in the sourcelist?
    love, b

  • Cannot update b/c all playlists no longer exist

I cannot update my iPod. This is the error message I continually get when I try. 'Songs on the iPod "Aimee's iPod" cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist.' I can see the playlists on the iTunes screen but when I tried to update it removed all songs from my iPod completely. I have tried reinstalling the iTunes software and the problem persists. Does anyone have any ideas. I have searched the Apple support website and cannot resolve. Thank you, in advance, for any assistance provided.
