Cannot update due to 1324 error

It tells me there are updates ... and then I get windows installer and then it stops with error codes about invalid characters.
So I thought, I know I'll go on the site and download it manually so to speak. Nearly 16mb later - no joke on my dial up ... this is what I get ... despite the fact that as you can see the program isn't in a folder called My Pictures - it's on the desktop!

As soon as you hit the OK to clear the grey box the rest of it stops and can't install.
Any idea where I can actually place the .exe file so it will actually install the update!
I am running Windows XP Home with all updates except IE 7. (which I hated and uninstalled).
I don't ever have this problem with other updates or installs.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

Trying to update iPhone 4 to the latest iOS 5, the error "cannot update due to incompatible firmware" prevents install. Any idea on where to find firmware update or resolve?

The correct way to upgrade the firmware is to first assure that you have the latest version of iTunes, then connect the phone to your computer. Click on the name of the phone in iTunes, then "Check for Updates" on the iPhone Summary screen. It should tell you there is a new version, and ask if you want to upgrade to it. If you are using any other method, or you downloaded a firmware file from a web site, you are asking for trouble.
The only thing you might want to do is to delete any .ipsw files on your computer before doing the above, in the unlikely event that the update file was corrupted during download.

It is not an Adobe problem. You have a OS permissions problem. You can try to correct this by using Disk Utility to Repair Permissions. It is in the First Aid area of Disk Utility.

i always get an error if i add an Authoritative Web Page and use the Option "Relevance Ranking Analytics".
The error is:

I cannot update IPhoto or IMovie. I have the latest OS. I cannot use these Apps either- they both ask me to update to the newest version, but when I try to I get an error message saying that the App store could not complete my request and to please try again later (null). Any ideas??

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

AR Invoice cannot update due date

Have SAP 2005 installed with 5 databases. In 4 of the databases we can update the due date on the AR invoice screen (As long as document status is open). On one of the databases we cannot update the field. Logging in as manager in all databases.
Anyone know what to look for or why this be happening?

No, I have tested for installments and that does not seem to matter. I should have pointed out that one of the databases this DOES NOT work in has a Netherlands localization. Could it be possible that the Netherlands localizations do not allow update of the invoice due date. It appears that this is the case can anyone confirm this?

I have had this ipod touch for several years but didnt use it. My sister had it up and running but used her computer and now I cannot update my ipod it comes as cannot restore my ipod unknown error -1? I am wondering if there is anything that I can do?

I can't burn a playlist due to an unknown error - "Disc cannot be burnt due to unknown error" (code is 4000) and the disc is ejected. I using the correct discs?

Does anyone have a similar problem? I cannot update to the latest software for my I Phone 4. The error message says, internet connection timed out. Which is obviously has not. It also says check your internet settings. I am not sure what that means. I have windows 7.

If the disabling the firewall doesnt help, then also try disabling your anti-virus, this was what was causing me an issue.
Although make sure you re-enable both your firewall and anti-virus after the update completes.

Discussions Account couldn't be updated due to system error?

Like everyone else, I was excited to check out the new Support Communities design and functionality when it was launched on Saturday. Unfortunately, when I tried to sign in, I got a message that said: "We're Sorry. Your account couldn't be updated due to a system error." It gave me a short form to fill out for help. I did that and still am not able to sign in. Right now, I'm writing from an old Apple ID in order to post this message. The ID that I normally use (and can't use now) has lots of posts, points, etc, and I really need to recover that.
Interestingly, if I search for the username associated with that Apple ID, it comes up and shows all of my posts and my profile, with all of my points intact. So, the information is still there...I just can't access it. Also, the ID works everywhere other than the Support Communities (such as iTunes Store and Apple Store online).
Has anyone else run into this problem? If a Host happens to see this, I'd love any suggestions as to how to get this straightened out. I was quite active on the old discussion boards and would like to continue to be on the new version!

I got an email directly from the apple person who manages the support communities. He's been helping lots of people out with the transition. It turns out the root of my problem was having the same email address associated with the two different Apple IDs as the "primary email address." If you have two IDs, that could also be your problem. Make sure they all have different email addresses.

Ipod touch with IOS 4.0.2 cannot update to IOS4.1- Error 3259

I have tried several times to update the software of my Ipod touch 3rd generation from IOS 4.0.2 to IOS 4.1. Nevertheless, the error message 3259 keeps popping up; "An unknown error occured (-3259). Make sure your network connection is active and try again". My network connection is working perfectly fine.
I have tried disabling my firewall and downloading the update but the same error message keeps popping up. How can I fix this problem and get the update?

Resolution:
- Update to the latest iTunes software version.
- Try turning off your Firewall to see if the issue is resolved (this includes the built-in Firewall or a third-party Firewall such as Norton Personal Firewall, McAfee, Symantec, etc.). See KB #HT1601 for steps if using Windows. See KB #TS1997 for steps if using Mac OS X.
