Cannot Update Photoshop CS5 to Camera Raw 6.7
I am trying to run updates on Photoshop CS5 Camera Raw 6.7 it errors out and and it will not update. Any ideas? The error just sit there and help talks about entering my serial number, but there is no prompt to do so.

I redownloaded my Photoshop CS5 and Camera Raw will not accept my RAW files nor will the Adobe Bridge display the picture view of these files. i've just upgraded to os 10.8.4 and now i can't open canon raw files in photoshop cs5 with camera raw plug in 6.7 which worked perfectly prior to the upgrade....anyone else encountered this issue?
Adobe's software is a mess in terms of the fact that it's sprayed all over the place and may not survive an OS upgrade. Try reinstalling Photoshop CS5.

Generally speaking, Adobe stops updating older versions to be able to read raw files from newer cameras when they release a newer version of Photoshop.
First you need to determine whether Adobe has released support for your new camera in your version of Photoshop. To do that, look at these two pages. You'll want to find out the earliest version of Camera Raw that can support your camera, then what version of Photoshop can run that version of Camera Raw.

Trying to update PS CS5 to camera raw 6.7 "installation failed" .
When using the downloaded zip version 6.7 or 6.71 from the adobe site the error message is simply "installation failed". When trying to update from within Photoshop itself the message reads "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update There was an error downloading this update. please quit and try again later. Win XP sp2. What now?

That's all thoroughly meaningless to me. I hope maybe it speaks to you? -
I cannot update Photoshop CS5, Bridge Extended after a fresh reinstall.
It's running in 32 and 64, but there's all these quirks.Like Bridge crashing in 64 but not 32. Raw also.The ATI Radeon5450 is often problematic (not capable of Open GL) In fact, I've been unable to work for a month now. Also, I can't tell if I've got Extended, I tried a downloaded install as well as from my original disk.

I've just downloaded the last version of camera raw for mac (I've never used CR before !). When I open PS, no CR... In Bridge, I can see it but nothing happens... camera raw is in gray !!

I have recently bought a Canon EOS6D and my raw photos will not open in my version of photoshop, which is cs5.1. I have looked at the camera types photoshop cs5.1 camera raw covers, and my camera isn't included. Is there anything I can do to open my raw images?! Or will I have to update my version of photoshop?
Support for the Canon EOS 6D first arrived in Camera Raw 7.3 - only Photoshop CS6+ is compatible with Raw 7.3

Upgrade to CS6, or
Download the free DNG converter from the Adobe website, convert all your Raw files to DNG and edit the DNGs in Photoshop CS5.1

My student has been using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5 on her Mac for well over a year. Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images from Lightroom and choosing the "Render using Lightroom option when it popped up in the dialogue box. She has been doing this for over a year and a half without any problem. Today when she hit Command E no dialogue box appeared and the image just opened in Photoshop. I'm concerned that all of her Lightroom edits are not being rendered to Photoshop. Anyone have an idea as to how we can get the "Render using Lightroom" dialogue back?

How to use the update mechanism in Photoshop CS10 for Camera Raw?
Good Evenning!
I would like to open .NEF files with Adobe Photoshop CS10 (RAW for Nikon D5200) but my version of Camera Raw is too old.
I need at least the 7.3 version.
When I try to download it, I have this message: Please use the update mechanism in Photoshop CS10 for Camera Raw. But how?? When I go to "Help" tab, to "Updates", it says that no update available.

There is no such version as cs10.
Do you mean photoshop shop elements 10?
If you go to Help>About Photoshop Elements (windows) or Photoshop Elements Editor>About Photoshop Elements (mac), that should tell you which version you have.
