Cannot Update to 10.6.3 and sync idevices

Hi there
recently I updated my iphone & ipad to iOS6, since then I cannot sync my devices because it ask me to update to iTunes 10.6.3 (currently I have 10.6.1 and my OS is 10.5.8) it tells me that I cannot install iTunes because first I need to update to a newer OS (I dont want to do that), even if I run MAC OS updates it tells me that no updates are available for my system.
Is there any way around to do this, this is ludacris, first time it happens to an apple device/release

I can't provide specific advice without knowing which computer you run but since it seems you are running what Apple now considers outdated software (and possibly hardware too) you need to be very careful before you do any more upgrades to software. If you are running an older computer you may discover you have upgraded something that has a domino effect where the final thing cannot be upgraded and suddenly your system no longer works. For example, don't buy an iPhone5 unless you are positive you can upgrade your system to Snow Leopard at least, otherwise you may find your also have to buy a new computer too.

I just got a new MacBook Pro, and have been running the Software Update. I have installed all of the updates through 10.5.4. I cannot update to 10.5.5 nor can I update java because neither can be "verified". Downloading them manually doesn't work either, as neither will mount, again because they can't be "verified". What do I need to do?

If you're downloading them over the campus network, that might be the problem. There have been reports of corrupted downloads do to the network's firewall settings. I suspect you'll be successful if you go to the town's library or computer center and download the files from there.

By 'other things' you mean ?
Have you logged out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logged back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it ?

Cannot Select Both "Manually manage music" and "Sync ringtones" for iTunes

iTunes won't let me sync when both "manually manage music and videos" and "sync ringtones" is checked. If I choose "manage music and videos" first, add my music, then check "sync ringtones" all my music that I sync'd is deleted. The only way it worked for me was to sync the ringtones first without any music in the iPhone then checking "manually manage music and videos" afterwards but the problem is that once the "manual manage music and videos" is checked the "sync ringtones" isn't checked anymore so if I decide to add a ringtone later on I have to check "sync ringtone" causing my music to be deleted from the iPhone. This is a bad glitch Apple please fix it!

If you manually manage music, to get ringtones on your phone, you have to drag them to the "actual iphone icon" in the device pane window, on the left side in itunes.
FYI:
Since the iphone DOES NOT support disk mode(like some ipods), there is no advantage to manually managing music, IMO.

Just updated my iPhone 4 today and synced it and now my apps don't work

Like the title says I just bought my iPhone one week ago today and synced it up with iTunes. Now none of my games work on the phone. My Internet works I have wifi signal as well, also my txts and phone calls work so my service is fine. I've tried resetting my iPhone using the home button and the power button at the same time but that was no help. How do I get my brand new awesome great working phone back to normal? That's the whole reason I spent he money for a good phone I didn't want to have to deal with this!!! :(

This may sound crazy, but download any free app. This often "shocks" the other apps into working.

After I upgraded to 5.0.1, and synced my 3G iPhone through iTunes on my computer, it erased all of my contacts's phone numbers and Outlook email addresses. I did nothing different except upgraded to the latest software - 5.0.1. Can anyone tell me how to get these back on my phone? Ugh!

After 47 minutes onthe phone with Apple Technical Support, here's what we did to get my contacts back on my phone. It would be a good idea to back up your Outlook before you start to be safe.
First you open Outlook, click on File, Export, click on the option "Contacts to a list (tab delimited text)" then save it on your Desktop. Next open your Mac Address Book (may have to find it in Applications through Finder). Click on File, Import, find your file you just created from Outlook on your Desktop and double click on it. You should see an example of what your data will look like on the left of the box. Then click "OK". All of your contact information from Outlook should be imported to your Address Book.
Then open iTunes again with your phone connected to your computer and attempt to sync again. Hope this helps. It was a pain to get to this point but at least I have my contacts backon my phone!

My Creative Cloud is always empty. I've had this trouble for over a year. I cannot update Lightroom because of it and Photoshop does not update properly. I cannot open the RAW files from my new camera, a Nikon D750. Each time I want to update, I have to talk to you and delete things and reinstall things but it doesn't fix it properly!
I have contacted Adobe before and always have to go through a tedious delete stuff and reinstall, then next time it happens all over again.
I'm really fed up with it and want to know how to fix it properly. I am in the UK, if that makes any difference.

If it's an Intel Mac, you can upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.8.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, you need to use these instructions and/or iTunes Match to put content on the iPad.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
All media content will be erased during the first sync, but you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

It sounds like you bough the song only, not the song and the ringtone.
Ringtones via itunes are available in the U.S. only.
In the U.S. to make a ringtone you:
Buy the song with a bell - 99 cents
Find the song in your library and click the bell
This bring up the editor.
You edit the song to the portion you want.
Then click buy to purchase the ringtone - another 99 cents.
Then it shows up in ringtones and you can sync.
As I said, this method of creating ringtones is available in the U.S. only.

It depends on what iMac you have. If it is an old PPC (G4 orG5) iMac then no further upgrades are possible. If it an Intel iMac:

I have a couple of steps for you to try in order to get those songs transferred to your iPod touch. First, make sure all of your software is updated with the latest versions. If the songs were downloaded from iTunes, you will also want to delete the songs from your library and then download them again from the list of past purchases on your iTunes account. I cannot update my apps to both my iphone4 and ipad2. They both have the same apple id. I Cant update for almost a month now. But i can download new ones. Pls help. I have done the logout-reboot-login thing but still it cannot update. I also checked my itunes n there are no items stalled, no restrictions, etc. Really appreciate your help. Thanks

One thing that might work is .... Go to the purchased tab in the app store. Tap on an app that needs an update. That will take you to the app description page. Tap on the app icon in there and see if you can download the update. Could be very time consuming, but it might work.
This is a recently talked about trick that might work. Its more for the "Cant' connect to the iTunes Store" issue, but you can try it.
Go to Settings>General>Date and time. Change the date and time to some time in the future and see if that helps.
Lastly, you can always update the apps in iTunes on your computer and them sync them to the iPad.
